Got a blow out for the first time in years it was so soft silky and fluffy, Ms.Trina was very nice . & she didn’t excessively trim my hair off , I was never at first bc most stylists just butcher your hair off . She only cut what needed to be cut . Defly would go back she was very gentle on my head !

This salon is nice inside and out. All the stylists are kind and courteous and each one has an array of specialties. Robert Channelle is an AMAZING stylist and barber!!

Love them love them love them! Natural hair girl went from black to auburn color with brown roots. They made my dreams come true. It was my first time ever professionally getting a new hair color. My hair longevity overall was healthy! Can’t wait to go back.

Listen I’ve been coming to this lady’s shop for about 2-3 years and she has yet to disappoint! Her assistants are amazing women as well very caring and supportive women in this shop! Shout out to KATRINA! Her products used are very high quality and homemade as well.. she’s helped repair my damaged hair time and time again! And has helped with over 10inch of growth! Most amazing natural hair stylist I’ve over had! I have a lot of videos mainly it won’t allow me to upload of my hair journey with them but check out her Instagram for more photos of her work!

This is my daughter's second time visiting Salon Red. She gets the Silk Press, so of course she wants to go to the "The Blow Out Queen" Katrina. Wonderful Service. Easy booking and timely fashion. This is my daughter's go-to after visiting 4 different salons.

My hair stylist is Katrina ( The Blowout Queen) and she does an excellent job. She is very professional and she answered all of my questions with patience and understanding in regard to the hair style that I was receiving. It was my first time wearing the style. The atmosphere of the shop is very relaxing as well. I needed my hair done & was able to get what I needed without hassle. She did all of the heavy lifting for me & the prices are good. That’s what I need.

I found this place on Google and booked an appointment for color, precision cut, and silk press. When I tell y'all my silk press is absolutely boneless! I asked for lots of layers and got exactly that for my cut. There was no ridiculous wait time. As soon as i got there, I was promptly shampooed (no upcharge) and then got down to color. Warm and friendly environment. They've gained a customer for life.

Ms. Katrina did a wonderful job on my hair! After being canceled from a different salon, she squeezed me for a Keratin Hair Treatment under an hour notice for my event. My hair feels great and so much manageable! Will be a repeating customer.

Absolutely love Salon Red!!! Love the atmosphere!! My stylist Katrina is the best and made my experience amazing!!! Her assistant Ms Yvonne did an amazing job on washing my hair. I've had two appointments so far and no issues. Definitely will be back ❤️

BEWARE DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY TYPE OF SEWINS, NOT LUXURY. I came in on 1/12 at 1:30 pm. I had an appointment with the owner for closure sewins. When I came in, there was an older lady who did my wash and conditioning. She did not wash the back of my head, only the front and sides, which left my head extremely itchy throughout the day. When it was time for the sewin, the braid down was terrible, she used dirty braiding hair, which made my hair itchy. After she was down braiding my hair, she went to another client to do their silk press, which held me up when she finally came back to do my sewin it was around 3:30pm. She did not pluck or bleach my closure. When she started the sewin, it was rushed. I came in with a 2x6 closure and 5 bundles of Brazilian straight hair. When she came to the 3rd bundle, she sew in half the bundle and STOLE the other half. There was another stylist who assisted her with that. When she came to the 4th bundle, she was done she did not put in my 5th bundle. She didn't properly flat iron my hair and talked down about my hair but stole it. I don't know if she thought I didn't know anything about hair, but she is sadly MISTAKEN. PLEASE PUT TRUST IN THIS REVIEW. DO NOT COME HERE FOR A SEWINS!!!!!! Maybe for her signature silk press that she's so good at but nothing else. I will never come back to this lady again for a bad job on my hair, and the fact that she stole from me, she is not meant to be trusted. I gave her a little tip so she can buy her some better hair Instead stealing somebody elses. Mind you I paid $200 Plus $20 For the deposit

I was skeptical to even book because I found them on Instagram and I didn’t see any before pics of women with my hair texture, which is really coily very defined 4c hair. Unfortunately my skepticism was confirmed. I feel the stylist didn’t know how to properly care for my hair texture. She was trying to blow dry my hair in the way suitable for a looser curl pattern which made it very uncomfortable with a lot of pulling and “raking”. The products used clearly did not work for my hair at all because even after the steam treatment my hair was still very undefined and tangled. The customer service was about average with stylist gossiping about other clients, going out for smoke breaks etc. Also, the wash was a joke, she supposedly washed my hair 3 times with 3 different products. Cool, but I know for a fact she didn’t wash the back of my head because one shampoo had a scalp cooling effect and I only felt it on my side and top, nothing on my back. She didn’t scrub my back AT ALL, just the back strands, no attention to my actual scalp even though this was a scalp detox. And I mentally counted, she literally scrubbed my top/sides for 7 secs and then started rinsing again. I know my scalp was not cleansed properly at all. And I even asked before we started if she could give a really good scrub because I had my braids in for the past 2 months and I knew I had a lot of product built up. She was too concerned with a recent negative review, to focus on providing good service to me. But what really irritated me was how my stylist dried my hair. It was one of the worse blow outs I’ve ever experienced. Normally, ESPECIALLY after a deep condition and steam treatment, my hair is soft and very easy to detangle and blow dry. That was not the case here. Then she put me under the dryer after a very mediocre detangle for my “roots” to dry because it would “be a mess” (her words) if she tried to dry my hair from the wet state, which I’ve never had to do. Tbh I wouldn’t go back to this particular stylist. Maybe the other lady referred to as the blowout Queen but I think, Ms P the stylist I had, didn’t know how to care for my hair texture. Very disheartening after spending $140. And i ended up wherein a ponytail by the end of the day because there wasn’t any “silk” in my blowout. It was only straightened. It had no life, body or anything. I gave 3 stars to the salon because the stylist did try to be semi professional and they were able to get me in same day before an interview. **the black hair is to show the blowout and the blonde is just to show my natural curl pattern**

I went for my first time in December and have been meaning to leave a review but just have been so busy. Shameka took care of me and man she knows how to work color into hair! She is so nice and cares about her customers. Looking to go again soon. 10/10 recommend booking here and with Shameka!

I've been going to this salon for about six months and I've never been disappointed. I have gotten my hair colored and silk pressed by Katrina and I have always walked away very happy. I've even gotten a sewin with her as well!! I have recently gotten braids by Lacy and I LOVE them. I have gotten so many compliments. Overall a great salon and everyone is friendly and makes you feel at home!

The assistant was nice I guess but I was treated like I had the most tangled kinky jungle like hair in the world. I had to sit to the side and detangle my own hair which took over 2 hours while the owner kept reminding me how detangling my hair took my whole appointment trying to make me feel bad about it I guess (which I didn't) and there's absolutely no indication that you need to detangle your own hair on the website before your appointment that's kinda what you pay the stylist for. She also mentioned how I had been there all day and how she's never had that happen before and mentioned to the person who she was on the phone with that people either "booked the wrong thing" (which I didn't) or "don't know how to follow directions" *referring to a previous client that came in and got color without adding a corrector which had nothing to do with me* which was disgustingly rude because 1. as stated before there are no instructions to have your hair fully detangled and 2. that is no way to speak about a client especially when you have another in your chair. So I can only assume there were some colorful things said after I left. My silk press puffed up the next day (yes even after wrapping) and I'll be getting it fixed at another salon. I do love my color but overall had a terrible experience and not friendly at all I've never been so uncomfortable in a salon before I felt like *|* was the one bothering *them* in some way but hey at least I know what to avoid next time. This review was not written with malicious intent, it just was what it was, thanks. Edit: apparently you are informed to detangle in the confirmation process and I completely missed it, my bad on that one for sure!! I also spoke to the owner and what I perceived as rudeness was not the intent so I really appreciate that being cleared up. Nice salon just have your hair detangled & don’t be so sensitive like me! Lol

Had an appointment for silk press. Appt was for 9 am. My stylist did not reach until little after 11am. I was truly disappointed because it was my first time there. She then reached out to me after the appt stating her assistant did not let her know she was through with the blowout, which to me is besides the point. I think if I schedule at 9 , the stylist should be there at 9. If I, the client was 15 mins late I would’ve been charged and appt canceled. So it was absolutely unprofessional! And the silk press was not great, not like how the Dominicans do it.

I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Katrina (The Blowout Queen) at SalonRed. The atmosphere was soothing, the ladies were pleasant and their energies are magnetic. Katrina made me feel comfortable thru my entire experience and made sure to educate me on the process. I believe I've found me and my daughters a permanent hair stylist. I won't even say how she slayed my blowout! Those hands have magic in them..

Me and my daughter had a great experience..We were greeted at the door, had to sign in and within minutes she was in the chair. Katrina and Yvonne made our experience great. We have plans on coming back monthly! Mothers with mix children we highly recommend you come here they did a amazing job with my daughters hair!! 😍❤️‼️

So I’m all natural , and I got my hair blowed out by shemeka who was lovely . However , during the washing of my hair, my hair was yanked and scratch so roughly it left my head sore even after leaving the shop. I came with my hair detangled , so it didn’t take her combing my hair(dry!!) and pulling my hair so roughly while she was washing it. Someone reviewed on this before I even came to the salon and I be damn . My edges look incredibly thin(where they were full) and it looks like I lost some hair in that area . Love the atmosphere and shop, and the actual stylist but the older lady that washes the hair needs to be gentle when it comes to the clients, especially black clients .
