I came to get a tattoo. Yes, there’s at least one tattoo place here. This review is on the salons. Misha recommended one of them to me. I foolishly thought that prices would be good here but nope. Even though they have less overhead costs to worry about apparently they charge a couple hundred or so for dye work and style. I guess being in Hollywood makes them ask for that much? To be sure the stylists here seem to be very good though. Anyway, I came here to get my tattoo with Misha. Misha is great! A good sized tattoo costs $250. That’s the cheapest tattoo she’ll do if I’m not mistaken.

I was a licensee at this location from 2018-2022. I started my business and I have only good things to say about my experience. The salon was always clean, the towels were always new or in good condition and the salon manager Joel was simply the best. Always kind and polite, he managed any issue quickly, efficiently and politely. There was a small leak in my unit from the stupid gym upstairs and Joel got the whole thing handled immediately. Buying product from the store upfront and making special orders was always super easy with him. I really appreciated the help he was always willing to give. Leaving Salon Republic was actually bittersweet. I was excited to expand my business and be in my own storefront, but the comforts of Salon Republic and the friendly front desk staff made me feel like I was leaving home. Thanks for everything, Joel!

Joel at Salon Republic Hollywood is an absolute professional. Since day 1 of leasing our Ababio Studios suite, it has been nothing but a pleasant experience. The absolute WORST! You think your getting professional help and PAYING for it. Not at all! I walked in with hair a bit dry, yes. Not fried complete off. Now fried thanks to Kacey? How is this individual licensed! Who puts 50vol on a customer and placed them under heat?!? Do not trust. Risk losing your hair if you do. Before and after posted. Bye bye wavy curls… hello straw head 😓
