We wanted to try a salon for our daughter’s haircut instead of the typical Kid Snips. I’m sure this is a wonderful salon for adults, but I would not recommend for kids. Also, the website states that they do children’s cuts (8 and under) for $25. This is apparently not correct. Was really hoping we would love our experience!

Marco is the most unbelievably kind, funny, professional, all around perfect hair master! I was referred by a friend (or should I say, totally obsessed with her hair color and begged her to tell me who did her hair). I went in thinking I was ready to be blonder than I was, and the color he did was absolutely gorgeous, and after I spent a couple days doing my normal styling and washing, it just didn't feel like "me" (a full brunette) so Marco set me up with an appointment the next day to add toner and spent a full hour and a half kindly chatting while darkening my hair, and made it absolutely perfect. He wouldn't allow me to pay, but I could not be more in love with the shiny, glossy, sunkissed brunette color he created and have already booked my appointment to add gloss again with him in 5 weeks. I have lived in Chicago for 8 years and have never found someone so talented, not to mentioned someone so talented and efficient that I am sad to be ending our lovely conversation when he's done. He creates the most friendly atmosphere and I am so energized (huge Contrast from previous stylists where I felt exhausted after friendly but forced conversation) and happy at the end of the appointment. Plus, his blowouts are incredible and my hair is beautifully styled for days. If you are looking for your Chicago hair colorist/stylist, do not go to anyone else. Marco is the best in the city (and beyond)!

Coralie is absolutely phenomenal. Great dimensional color work, beautiful cut; she matched my reference photos exactly. I couldn't recommend her more!

I had an awesome experience with Ethan! Been meaning to come to this local salon and it did not disappoint. For a stylist, I look for three things: 1) it’s gotta look good, 2) there has to be some attempt to tame my cowlick, and 3) the right amount of conversation mixed in without turning into a multi hour affair. Ethan was absolutely fantastic on all three fronts and he walked me through cut decisions that I was obviously wrong on. I will go back.

Coralie was fantastic! I went in for a cut & color and showed her a pic of what I wanted my hair to look like. She was able to get it to the exact color and length I wanted, and she was very pleasant to chat with.

BEST hair salon! I could not recommend Marco more for color and cut. He has been doing my natural brown/caramel balayage color for three years and he is the only stylist I trust with my hair. He has consistently done an amazing job and was even able to correct my color when it was done poorly at another salon. 1000% recommend!

Coralie is a wonderful stylist! She’s so sweet and funny, and incredibly talented! I’ve always had a wonderful experience every time I’ve been in the salon and I’ve never had a better hairstylist. 100% would recommend her and the other stylists here to anyone!

GREAT EXPERIENCE! I scheduled an appointment with Gabrielle. It was her first time cutting my hair and she did an amazing job. I was in and out in 30min and my hair has never looked so good. Everyone there was incredibly welcoming and nice. I highly recommend this place

I have been going to Salon Rouge for years.. They are WONDERFUL!!!. I'm partial to Ethan, but I have never been disappointed by seeing any of his colleagues.. Everyone is great!!!I will never visit another salon!!!

Amazing service at this salon. I enjoy seeing my talented Marco, undoubtably one of Chicago's master colorists. I've done hair modeling in my lifetime. Marco is the absolute best at being on trend and delivering a flawless, natural blonde color. He's also up on products, cuts, and techniques. As a bonus, he's a stellar conversationalist with a great sense of humor. I give Marco and Salon Rouge my highest recommendation.
