Shari-Lynn brought soo much life to my hair. This was an unbelievable experience. This was my first time getting my hair done In five years due to stage 3 cancer treatments. She was so nurturing and accommodating (I’m 8 months pregnant). Her level of professionalism is unmatched. She kept me informed of every steps process so that I was fully educated along the way and took time to tell me how to take care of my color treated hair after. The salon is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Everyone that works there are very nice and full of character. It’s more than worth the cost. This was very much a spa hair day for me.

This salon is at the top!!! Highly recommend. I’ve been coming here for months seeing Wanda, and she always takes excellent care of me. Relaxing shampoo experience. Silk press always on point. You get what you pay for!!! The salon is clean, beautiful esthetic, great music, awesome vibes. You feel welcomed here and that’s important to me. Keep up the great work Salon Sevhn!!

Professional, clean, top tier stylist- I’ve gone to Dionna for years (natural hair, many different styles), but I do believe everyone else does a great job as well. Highly recommend for anyone in search of a high functioning salon!

Update* with a photo of the response from the owner before she edited it. A negative review nor were my emails harassment. This comment was though. — My mom had a great experience when I booked for her bday, but unfortunately, I cannot say the same happened for me. I scheduled a 7 AM service and the stylist was a no-show. I called, rang the bell and waited for 35 minutes outside the dark and locked salon, then reached out at via email to express my concern and how this impacted my day. There was no immediate acknowledgment of the issue until about 5 emails later in the thread. The initial emails were them telling me they called me, confirming my call back number, and me clarifying that I hadn’t received any calls or voicemails from them. — this is important because the voicemail that was left, but not received, was key to the escalation of events I insisted I have no record of the call as clarity but was not argumentative. All of my emails suggested different times and forms of communication hoping to get in touch later. I even suggested resolving this over email considering my work day and that they likely have to service clients. During the “apology” email that was eventually received by 12pm, seemed hostile saying she doesn’t “want go back-and-forth about whether if I called or not.” She seemed to be frustrated that I did not receive the callback or voicemail (their screenshots said they called me at 7:40am so it’s possible we were calling each other at the same time and that’s why she got voicemail). Also she said “apologize again” when that was the first I received! Her final email this evening, she was irate. She said that the voicemail from this morning did include a very detailed apology and explanation. However, I clarified very early on in our communications this morning that I had not received it, so five emails later finally receiving apology did seem a bit late considering. Im assuming she felt her efforts weren’t being acknowledged however, I had no way to acknowledge them as I had not received it to know what the content of the voicemail was. She ultimately issued a refund for the deposit, which I thanked her for. She mentioned in her final email that she’s ‘all about solutions and not issues’ but not once did she offer to reschedule or a discount on a future service (which I mentioned). She also expressed initially I was upset with the no-show, then upset with the lack of apology. Both can be true. The conversation ended with her essentially telling me I had bad vibes and wasn’t welcome in her salon. In customer service, we need to remain objective and not take things personally. A customer has a right to express frustration as long as it’s respectful without it having to turn into what it did. It’s also important to put yourself in your customers shoes— if she had, she’d understand that from my perspective (since I clarified numerous times I hadn’t receive a voicemail) at 7:30am I sent an email about a no-show and that multiple emails were exchanged before an apology, acknowledgment or resolution was made 5 hours later. And when the apology was finally received, it was a little hostile with the “back and forth” comment. I hope they continue to thrive despite this interaction because the stylists are great and the salon is beautiful. Perhaps next time, the owner will send an INITIAL email response saying “Good morning [client], I tried to call but got your voicemail. I left a detailed voicemail but also want to say it here: I sincerely apologize about the no-show by our stylist. She is new and this does not reflect the way we do business. I will issue a refund or we can find a time to chat on the phone later to reschedule your appointment. If you do choose to reschedule, I’m happy to prove a XX% discount or a free trim on us! Please let me know what you prefer. I have a full schedule today but am free to talk after 3pm. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your business!” That would really clear things up right away! 😊 and no one is wasting time talking about voicemails.

*****************UPDATE******************* I failed to reveal my stylist’s name, her name is LaWanda Ruby. She is great. So nice and personable. Please leave some slots open for me because once you have one appointment you will return. I hope she will be my stylist for a long time. Loved it here. The ambiance is so calming it will definitely melt your stress away. The salon is clean and well kept. The receptionist is attentive and will not have you standing outside the door looking or knocking. Before you can put your hand on the handle you are buzzed in. Everything is so neat. They offer water and hot drinks. My stylist did not keep me waiting, headed right to her chair for a quick consultation and then the shampoo bowl. The best shampoo I have had in a long time. She was nice and listened to me and we had a great chat. The atmosphere is positive and I love the music they play. The location is great with what appears to be plenty of parking (paid) but unsure. Such a great calming and positive experience. She taught me how to wrap my hair and it works! Will definitely return!!!

July 2023 update: Kat is a goddess hair whisperer 😍 she does amazing beach waves with clip-in’s 🤩 April 2023 Update: I’ve been coming to Kat biweekly and my hair is SO healthy and transformed! Definitely recommend the moisture steam add-on, game changer! Love the tea selection too, Kat pampers you during your visits, she’s the best! 💕 December 2022: I had a silk press with Kat today and she is amazing! So happy I was able to get a same day appointment using the booking system and choosing any available stylist- luck was on my side being paired with her! My hair was really dry when I came but it feels so light and healthy now and looks beautiful 😍 She almost put me to sleep when she was washing my hair, felt soooo good, and the steam treatment was relaxing and helped support returning my hair to good health. I’m really happy to have found Kat and highly recommend her for silk presses!

Words can't express how happy I am to have found Salon Sevhn!! If you are questioning whether you should try them out this is your sign to do it. I had an absolute nightmare with two previous stylists and was super nervous about trying and trusting somewhere new. I am so glad I did. Julia gave me the most natural sew in and she was so warm and welcoming. She took such great care of my hair. She checked in with me throughout the entire process to make sure I was okay and that my braids weren't uncomfortable. After telling her about my previous experiences with other stylists she assured me she had been doing hair for over 30 years and would take care of me. From the minute I sat in her chair to the minute I left the salon I felt that. I would 100% recommend Julia if you are looking for sew ins or silk presses. I also want to mention the owner Shari. She also heard about my previous nightmare experiences and came over to assure me that I had found the right place to take care of my hair. She was so kind and offered some really great advice on how to take care of my hair for the next time I come in the salon. She even added some finishing touches to my hair at the end of my service (WOW!!) Salon Sevhn is a 10/10 gem!

Awesome experience every time! Salon Sevhn has a warm, inviting, chic atmosphere. I was amazed at each stylist’s work, not to mention the complimentary wifi and coffee bar. Cali is my stylist but I wouldn’t mind any of the stylists doing my hair. Friendly and professional! Definitely will be a long term client.

I got my hair done by Kat. Silk press and trim. It was the longest time Iv ever spent in a chair getting my hair straightened I will say but where I was truly disappointed was the trim. She gave me a nice blunt cut on my ends and that is it. No proper trim just a sweep on the bottom. I was really shocked by that. She posted on her Instagram starting the year off with healthy hair and I thought that was very misleading as she not only never thoroughly trimmed my layers but she also head damaged my hair lol! I’m not super disappointed with the heat damage as all hair is different and sometimes it’s uncontrollable and unpredictable but people should be aware. I am not someone who experiences heat damage and I get my hair straightened and trimmed routinely every 3 months. Mainly upset about the trim service because I really needed one and now I still do.

This salon is breathtaking, its very pretty and very well maintained. The atmosphere is chic and stylish. The staff are warm and very inviting every time I'm there. My stylist Marri Dosunmu is phenomenal per usual "get you a Marri in your life!!!!!! Your hair will feel amazing and she will make sure its healthy! I'm glad she's part of a salon with good energy and beauty. Good job ladies & gents.....

Marri Dosunmu is my stylist at Salon Sevhn. She is amazing, I can’t say enough about her work. My hair is healthy and natural. She always fits me in when I’m desperate. She stays booked so look her up on Booksy. She specializes in sculpting and silk press and healthy hair. Not to mention her Bob haircuts!
