Michael Romo has cut my hair for over 20 years because he is a very talented hairdresser who consistently executes the perfect haircut. I moved out of state and missed him so much for a little over 3 years. Just visited SB to primarily get a GOOD and restorative haircut and Michael knocked it out the park as usual. Highly recommend Michael for a good haircut while having great conversation at the same time. I'll miss you until I get back again!

Caitlin Williams at Salon U gave me a wonderful layered cut and I can honestly say that this was the first time a hairdresser gave me the exact cut I asked for. She did an amazing job and I will definitely be going back to her in the future!

Michael, the owner, does a great job on layering my wavy/curly hair. It is not very easy to create the right layers to make it flow and lay nicely. I am very happy with his work/talents. I have been seeing him for over a year now and highly recommend him.

I absolutely recommend Salon U, the place is cool and clean, staff are amazing and the price is great. Giane Penido is such a great professional and lovely! I had haircut and highlights and I absolutely loved it! I will be back

I have been going to Salon U for a long time, and I absolutely love it. The staff is friendly and efficient. They also try to work with my schedule as I do things last minute. I really appreciate it .

Very friendly staff and easy to get an appointment when you are in santa Barbara for only a few days! Got a lot of restaurant tips for the area too which was amazing! Happy with my simple haircut for a fair price :)

Michael is a master! Not only do I always leave feeling pleased and refreshed; I often receive compliments and requests for referrals. Cut and color - he is simply fantastic, consistent, & creative. Salon U has a relaxing, calm, and artistic vibe that - thankfully- lacks that stuffy ambiance so often one must endure at other salons. Love this place, and will never stray! I highly recommend.

The problem I have with most hair stylists that I have been to in the past is that they don't listen, have no imagination or no creativity and almost always cut my hair uneven. But with Lucianna at Salon U I have none of these problems. She listens to what I have in mind and has the creativity to execute it close to prefect! I have gotten my hair dyed and cut by her the last 2 years and never had a problem. Sometimes I will ask her for her opinion on what to do with my hair because I trust her judgement and imagination. I highly recommend this place to anyone; especially to young women(teens - 40s). I do have to admit that one time when she was not available, a year and half ago, I had to get my hair done by one of the other girls there, who I can not remember the name. She took almost an hour and a half to just wash and cut my hair, nothing else. I didn't even have long hair at the time... But at least in the end she charged me less than the normal pay. The hair cut itself was not bad nor good, but okay. So I can't complain too much about it.
