I recently had an incredible experience at Salon Veritas, and I can't recommend it enough! For the first time, I left a salon truly happy with my hair. Ashley was not only skilled but also warm and kind, making the whole experience enjoyable. Their excitement for their craft really showed, and it made all the difference. If you're looking for someone who will transform your hair and make you feel valued, this is the place to go!

I was in town for a wedding and booked an appointment for an updo and blowout for myself and my daughter. The process was seamless from booking, to confirmation to final product. Ashley was amazing, so talented, I loved the way our hair turned out and my updo stayed put the entire night. Ashley also did it in record time. Highly recommend!!

I've been going to Ashley to get my haircut for at least five years and have always left happier than I came in. The salon is always clean, well organized, and staffed with friendly people. I look forward to going there and recommend it to any guys looking for a good cut and or hairstyling advice.

I was in Raleigh for a wedding and wanted to get my hair and makeup done. I found the salon through google. Ashley was professional, kind and did an amazing job. Pricilla did an outstanding job on my make up. She listened to what I wanted and it came out perfect. I highly recommend Salon Veritas.

I showed up crying and late because last night was the first chance I got to process my bf breaking up with me after my grandfather passed and i desperately needed this cut for a special occasion. It was a hard week. Not only did she do outstanding work but she made me feel better. Thank you so much for your kindness mam. It's people like you that give me hope for humanity. I'd recommend her to anyone and her business deserves to flourish.

I would give Ashley ten stars if I could! She is the owner and has made me feel like her only client from the moment I started coming! My previous stylist moved out of the state and she recommended Ashley! I am so thankful because I couldn’t be happier! Ashley colors my hair PERFECT each time and she had me try extensions and I am so glad I listened! I have never felt so confident with my hair before! I come weekly to use my blow out package and I also use her spray tan service! This is an amazing salon and you won’t be disappointed!

I've been going here for about 2 years already. Ashley has been there for my engagement and wedding hair and everything in between! I recently got a Cezanne keratin treatment and it has been the best thing I've ever had done to my hair. I've gone from naturally curly/wavy/frizzy to smooth and manageable hair. I highly suggest checking out Salon Veritas if you want a knowledgeable hair stylist who can actually give you the hair you want!

Ashley is a goddess! I was referred to her by a friend and she not only saved my hair but also became a close friend. I don’t pay for therapy any more, I pay to get my hair done. I move out of state and still travel back to see her. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair!!

I've been seeing Ashley McCauley for a really long time and she has always made sure my hair looked amazing! I get so many compliments on my hair color and I always say it is because of her. I was honored that she agreed to do my hair for my wedding. She also did my mom's, my husband's mom, and husband's sister's hair. We all looked absolutely amazing!!! They loved how well their hair stayed through the humid day and dancing. I'm so grateful for Ashley and will be seeing her as long as I can.

Keratin Treatment - I would strongly NOT recommend. It was a waste of money. I've had many keratin treatments in the past. Where they apply the keratin (protein) then straighten the hair at very high heat to bond the protein as an outer layer to your hair. It's lasted me 6 months, giving me silky smooth hair that didn't need to be straight, even in high humidity. Ashley applied the keratin for 25 minutes then RINSED it OFF!!!???!! For the 25 minutes it was on my head, it started to tingle which was very strange because Keratin is protein. After following her instructions of not washing my hair for days after and making sure to use non-sulfate shampoos, I was very disappointed. After the first wash, it is already frizzy and not smooth at all, as shown. On the other hand, Ashley is very good at color and gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had. ***Update, the salon did reach out and offer a refund but ONLY if I remove my review. My review was at 3 stars but after I’m dropping it to 2 stars for them being shady. ***

I am new in Raleigh and decided to go to Ashley for a haircut and to consult about coloring my hair blonde which I had not done before. She gave me an excellent cut and was very helpful/easy to talk to about getting my hair colored. She scheduled me in for the next week and got me the exact color that I was looking for. Additionally, she was extremely authentic and great to talk to while i was getting my hair colored. She made me feel very comfortable thru the whole thing. She additionally made sure that I liked my hair and even checked in on me to make sure since it was a drastic change from all black hair. The whole salon space was all very clean/safe for those that are worried about that sort of thing. Her prices are fair and well worth it. I will definitely continue to come here in the future. If for no other reason than having a good conversation.

I recently moved to Raleigh and was looking for a new hairstylist. I found Salon Veritas just a block from glenwood south. Ashley, the owner, was my stylist for a partial highlight and cut. She has been doing hair and other services for many years and it turned out literally perfect. She is WONDERFUL!!! When you go, ask about their spray tan deal—I’ve already been back twice and I walk out with an amazing glow ✨

Been meaning to write this review for a while! I am new to Raleigh and needed a haircut desperately. I went to Salon Veritas where Ashley gave me the cutest cut and even blew it dry and added a little curl to it. My friend told me it was a “Hailey Bieber vibe” and I was so happy! Couldn’t have had that without Ashley - she is so talented and sweet. And the salon space is so airy and bright! Highly recommend.

Ashley even took the lead on recommending styles that would compliment my facial shape and structure. Ashley has been my hairstylist for over 8 years! After moving back to Raleigh, from living several years in Dubai and Prague, it took me a few tries to find someone who really knew “hair”. Thank goodness I found Ashley. She always has great ideas for changing up my hair. I constantly get compliments on my color, cut and style. I also feel safe going to her during Covid. She complies with all rules and takes precautions to make sure you are safe. The salon is located in a house so I am in a separate room with Ashley and no one else. Also, she has a great, relaxing front porch to sit on while waiting to be notified of your appointment. I highly recommend her!!

Everyone HAS to have Jared color their hair. He did the BEST blonde highlights I’ve ever had done. So well blended and beautiful! He’s also so so fun to chat with throughout the process. Overall a 1000/10 and would recommend to ANYONE and EVERYONE! Cannot wait time go back!!

If you are even considering extensions, you need to contact Jared! As a red head, extensions are tricky to find the right match; Jared not only matched my color perfectly, but the extensions blend into my own hair seamlessly! Every visit, he makes me feel like a rock star!!
