I have a curly hair type and I was completely unsatisfied. The stylist I worked with completely disregarded my wishes and although I was anticipating my visit, I was completely let down. I have gotten a blowout before and been satisfied so I knew it wasn’t impossible to do they just weren’t aware on how to do it. My hair was very puffy and wasn’t anything like the photo I showed. Will not be returning

I took my girl and my sister to the salon today and I got to say that that Stacy was pretty nice person that was cutting my girlfriends hair(nothing bad to say about her) I believe the manger Jennifer ruined the experience going there, while my girlfriend was getting her haircut Jennifer kept pressuring my little sister in getting a hair cut, we told her that she had to ask my mom if it was okay that my sister could get a haircut, when we finished the call with my mom and told her no she kept pressuring my little sister (11 yrs old) into making her get a cut. She made my little sister feel like she was judging us cause we said no and kept trying to convince my sister into getting a haircut .Point is that Jennifer won’t leave you alone until she makes more sales out of you.

This place is amazing! I came in with matted, tangled (naturally curly) hair and they were able to remove it - NO CUTTING REQUIRED! Daveena did my hair and she had help from Shirley because it really was a lot. I am incredibly grateful to them that they were able to save my hair; I really didn't want to cut it. While it was a little painful (got a bit of a tender head), they did their best to make it as quick and as painless as possible. After my hair was tangle and Matt-free I received a trim, a wash & dry for my curls, and a complementary eyebrow threading! I highly recommend this place!

Sonada is the best hairdresser I’ve ever had hands down! She’s done my color twice now and it has blown me away both times. I couldn’t recommend more!

Fabiana regularly does my color and highlights at this salon. Outstanding work ethic, always very professional, and manages my very tight availability very well. - She moves things around to accommodate for my schedule - always advises on products most beneficial to my hair - if I ask for a color, she shares her opinion on what would work better and why I always leave this place with a smile! Gianna is the absolute best !!! I have tried different stylists for years and no1 has been able to achieve the color tones as well as she has. My forever go to, highly recommend !! The location is super clean and accommodating I feel right at home :) x3333

I came in with my hair botched from drying to go red with box dye and it just wasn’t what I wanted . I came in and the brought my hair back to life and achieved the red copper look I always wanted the same day ! Such a transformation . Love it ! Highly recommend!

I had the most not only one of the most relaxing and professional experiences with Fabian’s, I left feeling like a different person. I came I. With my hair grown out and looking horrible to a new woman! She was courteous and knew all the answers to my questions . Always made me confirm that she was doing what I wanted and left my hair feeling silly soft and fully off bounce! I will absolutely be going back to salon west!!!

I have been seeing Ava for over 3 years now for hair extensions, haircuts and glosses! She is amazing, takes her time, is an absolute perfectionist. Not only does she work hard daily at the Salon, but also outside of work hours, spending her days in training courses to learn the latest and greatest! I truly believe this is the BEST salon and I always recommend it to all my friends and colleagues. If you aren’t feeling your hair, trust me, go see Ava—you will be hooked and sooo happy you did!!!

I only visit this salon when my regular stylist is unavailable. I have had some very good stylists at salon west however the service can be an issue. Several times they are understaffed. Most recently my stylist (who was very good) was washing hair, cleaning, dealing with walk-ins… all while trying to blow dry my hair- which I’m not used to and caused delays in the appointment. I felt bad for him. This isn’t an experience I could handle on a consistent basis. I prefer a more professional environment.

I woke up one morning and decided I wanted a pretty drastic change but not certain. I called Salon West and they got me in right away. The team was so knowledgeable and provided suggestions for what would look best. I put blonde highlights in my dark hazelnut hair and they trimmed it to clean it and give a more full look. I loved it so much that I came back two days later to put more blonde in. Until now, I haven’t found a salon in NYC that I wanted to commit to but I would travel from any borough to Salon West!

Loved my salon experience. Hair color lifted at least 3 levels and took into account my gray roots. My hair was trimmed and blown out and it was so smooth! Plan to return in the near future.

Mira was so wonderful during my appointment at Salon West. I needed corrective color and highlights and my hair came out exactly how I wanted it. She was also so warm and kind. It was overall such a great experience and I’m really happy with how it turned out.

Salon west is amazing! Crispin does my highlights and does a fantastic job! I am always really happy with the color. I also come weekly for a blow out. Everyone that works at the salon is wonderful, and they all do a great job! I highly recommend booking your next appointment here!

This is my first time visiting Salon West and I was so impressed by the results of the haircut! As a hijabi, it is very difficult to find a store that allows me to get a haircut in a separate room. However, Salon West was kind enough to offer me an earlier spot where I can get my haircut without too many people in the room; just me and the hairstylist. Speaking of hairstylist, I was booked by Veronica and she did an incredible job! I showed her a few pictures of the haircut I want and she did an amazing job not only replicating that look, but making sure it works with my needs and face shape. I felt so beautiful with this haircut that when I got home I couldn’t stop staring at myself in the mirror haha! I will definitely book Veronica on my next visit and recommend this store to my relatives if they ever decide to get a haircut around the Manhattan borough!

While working a short few weeks at the salon as an assistant, the owner told me I looked pregnant. She asked why my stomach was the way that it is. I told her I am just fat. I still haven’t gotten over it.

Today I had my hair fixed and they got the exact hair color I wanted. The staff was extremely nice and gentle while handling my hair. 10/10 will recommend
