This salon is great. Very nice atmosphere. Krystal styled my hair and I loved it. Needed a hair appointment on today because I was leaving town early Tuesday morning. Krystal was very kind and friendly. Answered all of my questions and concerns. She made me feel really comfortable..I already made my next appointment

Krystal was Heaven sent! Her knowledge and expertise was exactly what I needed. I went in thinking that I would have to get most of my hair cut off and Krystal saved it and then beautifully styled it. My ends look beautiful now. Not all frazzled like they were when I walked in. I’m so very happy with her. I told her that she WILL see me again and again.

Crystal is a very experienced hairstylist. She gives a thorough review of your hair before she begins and explains and talks through any hair problems that you bring to her attention. travelling here to have my hair done was well worth the journey! Thank you Crystal and I will travel back in a few months.

this young lady is truly knowledgeable about her craft. She took the time to listen to the concerns about my hair and advised me on things I could do to help. I am a very tactile person and she was gentle and firm in her treatment of my head and just that spa experience alone, heated eye mask great music not too overpowering is wonderful! I am going to return here, for trims and treatment regularly. Thank you, Crystal .

Such a great experience here. My high school daughter went to get a silk press on her natural hair reluctantly (thinking it would be a waist of time and money) however Krystal out did herself with her hair. She took her time treating her natural hair before straightening. My daughter was in love with it and it lasted a long time. Very friendly welcoming atmosphere as well. We will definitely returning!

I don’t usually post reviews and decided to go ahead and post my experience. Scheduling was easy however service not good. I went at a time when most of the beauticians were at a hair show. I was doing the big chop so I emailed the lady the exact cut I wanted when I made the appointment. I came in for my appointment and I asked her did she remember the haircut I wanted. Her response was “oh yea I do that cut all the time” so I trusted her. Keep in mind I have natural hair no color or relaxer. Fast forward...it wasn’t even close to the cut I wanted and my bangs were heat damaged. I couldn’t wear my wet and go look bc my bangs were so straight and I had little straight pieces throughout. I dont ever plan to go back to salon zen bc I had to shave what was left of my hair off and start completely over. Recently I went to a beautician in Gastonia for a blowout and I received the exact results I wanted: NO HEAT DAMAGE. All I have to say is ladies do your research. Pic #1 is my hair with heat damage pic #2 was my hair after I received a blowout after doing absolutely nothing to my hair for a yr for fear that someone was going to damage it again. Goes to show you that some people know what they’re doing and others don’t need to be in this business

I called Salon Zen to see if I could come in for a relaxer and have my hair styled. I wanted to come the next day, but they were going to be closed. I asked if I could come today. Akwanda, the owner made room for me. I was NOT disappointed. The place is beautiful and the stylists are professionals. I love how Akwanda took care of my hair. She explained everything she was going to do before she did it. My hair has never felt better. I wish I could take her and her shop to Texas with me. If you are in Charlotte and you need your hair done, Salon Zen is where you need to go. THANK SALON ZEN FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! Jacqui T

I went to the new location of Salon Zen yesterday for the first time and was totally pleased .. Went in looking a Hot Mess and came out looking Fabulous.. Tasha did my hair and totally listened to my vision .. The atmosphere is so inviting you will feel relaxed . I highly recommend Salon Zen . If you can get Tasha to do your hair your in luck ..
