Ivar Strong Is a very professional and reasonable hair stylist! If you’re looking for quality and professional hair styling this would be the place to go. From the moment I scheduled my first appointment all the way to the end he made me feel listened too and rest assured I was in good hands. I was skeptical lol at first because I didn’t know him but I can truly say the proof is in the results it speaks for itself his work of 34 years in the making is phenomenal and very impressive !! I absolutely love my hair it’s super healthy now and has a nice bounce and volume to it , I’ve never went to a stylist who knew so much about hair and takes their time while doing it correctly . I will be coming back real soon for another appointment thank you Ivar for your hair services you’re a hair lifesaver 🤩😭

Please read and do advise before booking with this individual by name Ivan Strong I started seeing this hairstyles in December for natural hair blowout the first few appointments went fine I’d show up he’d be there ready to do my hair during one my bookings he let me know he’d started a new job with General Motors and his schedule would be updated to accommodate his new schedule but starting in March when I show up it would be dark shop with him no where in sight after calling multiple times I’d get excuses he’d be there about 5mins he was around the corner smoking weed after I booked on his website and send 50% deposit for my services

I WAS IN DESPERATE. need of a haircut,all other barber/ beauty salons were either closed, by appointments only or not in businesses any longer. Glad I was able to get my needs met. Was trying to find a hair salon that wouldn't jack me around or mess up my hair this mans a miracle worker on black hair very professional great conversationist treated youy like family highly recommended got me in last minute I was greatful for that my hair is on it's journey to recovery feels and looks great I will be back soon thank you so much great experience

I came into the salon last minute asked if they had time for a cut and wash. Then waited an hour. Got my hair washed just to sit for another 1 hour and 45 minutes. And by the time I sat in the chair I couldn’t do it anymore. The guy was very nice and polite he didn’t even charge me for the wash. But I felt disrespected being there for that long.

I love my hair and the products Ivar uses. Very nice salon. If you are looking for honesty and good cut, I would indeed recommend Salon Ivars. When I first went I went to Da Barbershop on Prospect (Yes, putting ya'll on full blast!) and they messed up my hair so bad but Mr. Ivar got me good! If you are a dime and like you shuff tight and right holla at Mr. Ivar!

Wonderful and very professional salon! My hair appointment started at the scheduled time, so I wasn't waiting around and Mr. Ivar provided education on proper hair care. He uses the right hair products for your type of hair, allowing for healthy and strong hair. SalonIvars is definitely a salon worth checking out for your hair care needs!

Today I received a full hair color, cut, blow out, silk wrap and style. Like Ivar would say, it was a process! Whenever I go to get a cut or hair color, I am always super duper nervous. And it seems like you can never find anyone good or reliable. Ivar was prompt, professional and very precise. He took the time to do what most stylists are not willing to do. He did color tests on the lift and the color to see what my hair would do first, before applying all over. He wanted to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. He also had great recommendations and it became more of a creative collaboration. To top it all off, he ended the appointment with treatment advice for my hair maintenance. I really enjoyed my overall experience! I would highly recommend. The pic does not do the style justice. But it was a platinum/ash blonde with pink ombre' on the ends.

For years I've appreciated the passion and art Salonivars (Joe Strong) has dedicated to making my hair look it's absolute best.
