Johnny did a great job highlighting my Asian hair. I’ve been looking for a colorist for a while and when I saw a new friends hair I knew Johnny was the next colorist I’d be trying out. Happy with the services- Johnny was attentive, detail oriented and also artistic which is the flare I was looking for for my new do.

Johnnie is an artist and absolute professional. I get compliments on my color ALL THE TIME and am convinced you can only get that w the experience, expertise, and artistry of Johnnie. Even in NYC, he is a rare find and I will never leave him, lol. His cuts and color always grow out sooo nice, worth every dollar.

I made a last moment appointment while traveling to NYC with hair in need of maintenance. I received an AMAZING hair cut and color from Johnny. I have not had a pixie cut done with such care and precision in a long time. Every hair is in the right place. Awesome while hair coverage.

I am pretty picky when it comes to hair service. So picky that never able to stick with the same hair stylist. Went to Johnny about 6 months ago for hair cut and roll perm. I was very happy then but over time for the past 6 months, as my hair grew longer and perm getting looser, I’ve been more impressed by how my hair looks better and better. This never ever happened before. Yes, perm always looks better and more natural after a month and so but by 3 months point, it doesn’t look good anymore. Now after 6 months, my hair looks so good I don’t even have to go back for another perm/ cut. When my hair style finally starts deteriorating, I’ll actually be excited to go back to him.

Just moved and wanted a salon I could walk to - so called Salon 10 even though I was nervous about trying a new stylist. Johnny fit me in same day even though he was working alone on a busy Saturday. He juggled 2 other clients plus me but I never once felt like he was rushing. In fact he was extremely meticulous with my coloring and then cut/styled my hair perfectly. (My husband was like: Hey nice hair! He usually doesn't notice!) Johnny's definitely a caring, very talented and knowledgeable pro. And his pricing is very reasonable especially for the attention to detail he provides. I would have schlepped back to my old neighborhood salon if I had to, but I don't have to - I will be happily walking to Salon 10 from now on :)

Johnny and his pro team are the best. Do beautiful and affordable work. Very warm and friendly folks. Never disappointed. Highly recommended for straightening, color, cuts and blowouts. Hope they never leave the ‘hood!

Just went here for the first time and loved this place. Johnny gave me a beautiful haircut and is SO efficient. (No chit-chat, no dawdling.) And the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be back!

Love this place. Low key but great service and recommendations are honest without any sales pitch. Also, Johnny gives you the haircut you want and doesn’t feel the need for his own creative expression (which I used to always have to battle at other salons). He does an excellent dry hair cut.

Johnny of Salon 10 is simply the best. I've had many haircuts over the years (including one by Frederic Fekkai when I was a "head model".)Johnny beats them all. He is meticulous and efficient. I brought my daughter to him today and she was thrilled with his work. Trust me, she is a teen and not particularly easy to please. Salon 10 is, indeed, a very well kept secret.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Called to make an appointment beacuse I had purchased groupon. Little did I know that this guy would berate groupon and refuse to accomadate me on a Sat for the entire year! Says he can't take anyone except during the week. Well then, he needs to stipulate the terms on the deal. Extremy rude and told me that I should have called first before buying groupon. Why be on the site then? Or at least put the terms saying they won't honor groupon on weekend. People that work weekdays can't take 2 hrs off to get keratin.

I am a person that tries a lot of salons in NYC and all of them seem just fine but Salon@10 always sticks out to me and I want to come back. I love the way they did my hair and are so sweet and communicative before doing anything. The staff is really lovely. Other salons there are always people gossiping and I don't really like that energy. Here they are not gossiping and always have such a nice atmosphere. The staff collaborates with each other and are efficient. My favorite part is the shampoo wash.

Johnny did an excellent job on my haircut and color. I had to cover a few greys at the root and then match that to my exisiting color. He matched the color perfectly and pulled it through to my ends to make me beautiful again! Also he freshened up my cut and gave me a blowout. Thanks so much. I'll be back again.
