I recently had a very disappointing experience with Johan, a hairstylist. Initially, I wasn't pleased with my haircut, but I decided to give it a few days to settle since a lot was cut off. Three days later, it was clear that the cut was not working for me. I contacted Johan to ask if he could fix it by shortening the back so it would blend better with the front. This seemed like a simple and reasonable request, not uncommon in the industry. To my surprise, Johan responded with a very long and unprofessional message. He outright refused to fix my hair and suggested that I go somewhere else instead. He defensively insisted that his work was fine, but as a client, I believe I am the judge of that. The lack of accountability and refusal to provide proper customer service is astonishing. I am still in disbelief over this experience and would caution others about the unprofessional behavior.

Hair By Elba - back right of the salon once you enter, she is awesome, I've been with her for years and I absolutely love her. Had not been able to visit her for a couple of years and I knew my hair was a mess but she literally plucked what I'd hoped for out of my head and made it a reality. Not sure I'll ever trust anyone else with my hair as much as I trust her - you, Elba, are awesome ❤️

Was in a hurry for a quick cut. Walked in hoping for a walk in, got directed to the front desk. Went to front desk. Got handed a piece of paper with 5 numbers. Called all the numbers 4 didn’t answer and the one that did told me I should ask the front desk. I have access to google, i don’t want to call a bunch of people. Anyway, never got a haircut, instead I got the run around cause someone doesn’t want to do their job. Not good with walk ins. 2 stars, one for being clean, one for being friendly.

Bruce does a fantastic job. I rarely go back to a hairstylist, thinking I could find something better. This was my second visit, and will plan to return. BMichaels is not on the JC Salon website, but he is there in person! Also, you should know that he moved closer to the group's entrance.

I had a terrible experience with one of your stylists, her name begins with a G. I brought in a picture of shoulder length haircut and asked for it. She shampooed my hair once but didn’t rinse all the shampoo out. She cut my hair in a BOWL as she sang loudly to her Jamaican music. This is professional?? Then she used a very hot iron on my hair which made my hair look very greasy since it still had shampoo in it. I left in tears feeling embarrassed.. Never Again! I went home, washed my hair and cried. Awful experience!!

Each operator has their own room so good during Covid to not be exposed to more people than necessary. I have had Erika and also Bruce do my hair. ( They have separate rooms but both are in the same building)

I’ve been coming to Tammi for several years now. I keep coming back because she’s great! I trust her more than I do me on the style of cut, and I love her suggestions on color - she adds highlights that I wouldn’t even have thought to ask for! Her prices are really reasonable, too. She’s recently moved to JC Salons to be more protective of her customers in this pandemic time — which I really appreciate. Contact with others is nil, and Tammi requires masks so I feel really safe. So if you’re worried about COVID, this is the place to go.
