I went for a DEVA curly cut based on a recommendation. The cut isn’t awful but it’s significantly shorter than I asked for. I specifically asked that the front be no shorter than my chin but when dry it’s just below my cheek bone which doesn’t compliment my face and makes it impossible to pull up. I’ve had DEVA cuts before and usually they take atleast twice as long as this cut took. This was the first time I’ve paid over $160 for a haircut and not had my hair dried and styled before leaving. I had to cancel a meeting I had scheduled after the cut because I had to go home and fix my own hair for the day. Because it wasn’t dried at the appointment I was unaware of how unhappy I was with it. Major shock and regret set in at home while drying my own hair. Actually I’m really sad and embarrassed at the appearance of my hair. To say I regret going is an understatement and sadly there is nothing to be done to fix it until it grows out.

New to the area and it was my first visit to salon. I had a men’s cut by Jessica and it was a fantastic experience. I will definitely be returning and I highly recommend Bill and Sam’s if you're looking for great service and even better hospitality!

Sandy was attentive to what I was looking for and knew right away what to do. She was fun and easy to talk to which means a lot when you are trying to explain what you want and don't quite know yourself.

First time getting my hair cut here and just thrilled with my stylist Andrea as well as my actual haircut. She is so knowledgeable and more importantly, she really listened to me describe my hair and what I was looking for and was able to knock it out of the park!

I have been seeing Ashley Geel for six months and could not be happier that I found her at Sam and Bills. Prior to meeting Ashley I had been to three different stylists in the Raleigh area over the three years that I have been living here. I just couldn’t find the right fit, and my hair was suffering from dehydration and over-processing. I told Ashley my concerns and that I wanted to get on a healthy hair journey and lean into my natural color. Ashley spent time dedicated to not only improving the health of my hair but also ensuring that I felt good about the process along the way. I couldn’t be happier with her service, her kindness, and I look forward to our conversations every appointment. Highly recommend!!!

(Men’s haircut) Been here 2 times, because it was so highly rated I tried to give it a second chance because my first experience was awful. I do not know the experience as a girl getting my hair cut here because I am a man, but if you are a man. Do NOT get your hair cut here. I’m sure they’re good with girls hair but both times I have received cuts here they have not cut evenly on both sides of my hair and have also cut too much hair off. Already too much hair was cut off beyond what I asked but even still one side had an additional INCH longer than the other side. Not what I asked for and I will not going back ever again. Edit: They have reached out to me and were willing to refund or fix the cut. I already went somewhere else to fix it so I don’t need another haircut. However, I’m leaving it at 3 because I do not believe that just because I left a bad review my experience is special. It should not have happened the first time let alone twice. Very nice people, but I do not believe it is a men’s haircut salon.

Chris cut my hair, and if I had shown him a photo of the ideal haircut in my mind's eye, he could not have cut it any better. Best haircut I've had in ten years! Maybe ever! Now I can go out in public unashamed! Thanks!

Sam and Bills have been taking care of my hair for many years. They have a variety of stylists to suit everyone's personality. The shop is vibrant and friendly. Their work areas are clean and well organized. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. They offer a wide selection of hair care products and don't force anything on you. They make suggestions and leave the decision to you. I highly recommend Sam and Bills for all your hair care needs. I should note I am a male and get treated with the same attention and care as everyone I see in the shop.

I had a great experience at Sam and Bill's and loved working with my stylist, Ashley. She was clearly knowledgeable about my hair type and gave me a cut I love! Which is unusual because I usually hate hair cuts for at least a few days. I'll be going to Ashley in the future for my haircuts, for sure!

My curls have never responded as well as they did after Sandy's cut! It was so much quicker than it normally takes with other stylists and while it seemed extreme in the moment, it was the perfect cut to lighten up my curls and make them bounce more, which is exactly what I asked for. Also, the price is way more reasonable than a lot of other places I've been and the work here is way better. Thank you so much!

Today was my first visit to Sam and Bill's hair salon, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience! Typically I'm pretty anxious and shy when it comes to salons - but everyone was so kind and welcoming. As I waited in the lobby, I had a great conversation with Chris (I hope I'm remembering their name correctly) who offered a lot of helpful information on hair colors that would look good with my skin tone. After that, I met my stylist, Ashley, who is....10/10, chef's kiss, amazing! She was so personable and kind, but also very knowledgeable on hair styles and care. I love the cut and style she gave me, and my hair has never felt healthier. I would definitely recommend her for colors, cuts, styles, and everything in between. I can't wait to come back!

I just moved to the area and was on the hunt for a new salon. I called in advance to get an idea on pricing for partial highlights and a cut and they were friendly and the prices seemed very reasonable, especially compared to other salons I called in Raleigh. I had Kari as my stylist and loved our conversations and she was really efficient and worked quickly. I’m so happy with my coloring and she blended the blonde shades beautifully! I also left with a complimentary gift bag that had samples of shampoo & conditioner, a tumbler, and scalp brush. Overall I actually had a lot of fun talking with all the stylists and receptionist there and am looking for a reason to go back soon😊
