I have been needing Neuro Muscular Massage therapy for years but did not know it. Once I started getting regular therapy with Larry, I have some pain free days. I can not recommend Larry and Cheryl more enthusiastically. They are great!

My husband and I found this place and were incredibly happy and satisfied! I got the neuromuscular trigger point massage therapy - came in with a nasty knot causing pain on my lower back and felt relieved afterwards! My husband did the relaxation massage and felt amazing afterwards as well. You can truly tell they both love what they do and they love helping people. Larry specifically went through the book with me on ways to prevent any more pressure knots and improve my lifestyle! Wonderful people and they are great at what they do! Will definitely be back for more!

5 years ago I was in a car accident where I broke my pelvic in three spots. Because of the cold for the past 3 weeks I've been in severe pain 24/7. My wife found this place about a week ago, and I went this morning for the first time. When I arrived I can honestly say I could barely walk, and in just an hour I was able to walk out of there almost pain-free. I've tried several different therapists over the years, but I have never had anyone who could make that much of a notable difference in that short of time. I wish I could give you more than five stars, and I'll be scheduling regularly with you.

Got a couples massage here and both my husband and I thought it was the best place in the area that we've been to! (And we've tried a few!) We'll definitely be going back. I have been going to Cheryl and Larry at San Miguel Wellness for years and they are by far the best massage therapists I have been to since my massage therapist retired, in fact my previous massage therapist was Larry's massage teacher. They listen and find the root problem and work through it with you until the pain is gone or manageable and give back so much to their clients and the community. They both go above and beyond to make sure you are well taken care of.

I met Cheryl and Larry through mutual friends and after I heard more mutual friends say so many positive things about both of them and their massage techniques. I had to try! Booking an appointment was easy-peasy. Her space is very peaceful and great energy immediately. Cheryl asked me about pain spots (which I have a couple) to adjust the massage. She uses essential oils (which I love) and made sure I knew to let her know if it was uncomfortable along the way. The hour zoomed by and she not only managed to relieve the pain spots a little I felt so relaxed and rejuvenated. I got more done after my massage than I ever would have expected. I also slept soundly. I highly recommend! Next I am going to visit Larry because he works trigger points and the spots I have need more relief. I really like how they work together to help a person feel better. Thank you Cheryl!

I’m from out of state drove over 20 hours and by the time I got here I needed a good massage. My niece called and told them I needed a full body deep tissue massage. Was told by Cheryl they could do it, and I would be very pleased, so my niece booked the appointment. Got there the lady was rude to my niece who booked the appointment. The guy who I was booked with said he was doing a trigger point massage. I thought ok he will do that first and then do the deep massage. ALL he did was the trigger not what my body needed and not what I asked for.

Two say that Larry and Cheryl are amazing people is an understatement. If you have pain I highly recommend Larry to help release that pain. He has helped me with stress in my shoulders and upper back and lower back and hip pain. I recommend seeing Larry first and then go to Cheryl for that vacation massage.

After going to several massage therapists since I moved here, I finally found Cheryl and Larry Atencio. Cheryl is the best all-around masseuse I have experienced since leaving GA several years ago and Larry is the best acupressure practitioner I have found. He relieved my neck/shoulder pain after all other therapists could not, including chiropractors. And, they are the most reasonably priced in all of Colorado Springs.

I had been recommended this establishment with high praise and was looking forward to experiencing it first-hand that I had booked a 9am appointment the day after hearing about them. I was bewildered by their new client $30 special and just couldn't pass it up! Unfortunately I had to cancel my morning appointment due to life and scheduled another one for the following week! Upon arrival, I couldn't quite discern where the entrance was as you need to ring a doorbell for access. I was met by Larry whom didn't greet nor welcome me to his business which was off-putting. He lead me into a quaint room where I would receive a massage (clothes on) to the merry tunes of the season which wasn't exactly relaxing. The first words he spoke to me were ones of reference to where I hurt most. I am an avid disciple of the gym so my entire body is generally sore but wanted to emphasize my chest, arms and back. After relaying this information, he had me lie on my back first where he proceeded to awkwardly sit adjacent to me. With one hand he began first on working my scalene muscles which is a fair technique for the headaches and soreness I was feeling overall but the technique seemed haphazard and careless. Larry seemed out of it and when I asked if he was having a rough day, it didn't inspire much of a memorable response. I kept telling myself to just trust the process and maybe it will get better but it didn't. I had to cut it short just 15min into the ordeal because aside from the pain I was feeling due to his technique, the general atmosphere was VERY uncomfortable. He would tell me to look away and I felt completely defenseless in the worst way imaginable (I'm a 6'3", 230lb male for clarity.) I try humble myself and always remain respectful of everyones time so I offered to pay for the full hour but he respectfully declined as well as apologized! At a second glance, you can see various degrees of effort and passion invested into the establishment which is respectable. I want to believe he was just having an off-day or week since it was a Thursday. Everyone has bad days and I want to believe this is why my experience was lacking. It's just unfortunate to merit a review like this after hearing such high praise because I left in more pain than when I came in and had to walk 5.2 miles back to my apartment in the chilling wind that terrorized the springs that day. TLDR; Larry inspired an uncomfortable atmosphere with lackluster technique that made me cut the experience short just a quarter of an hour in. He respectfully declined payment and apologized. I gave 2 stars for his obvious knowledge in the craft and realizing my discomfort by apologizing and refusing payment.

I have been going to see Larry for years with various aches and pains. This time it was my knees. Trying to run outside and concrete is not my friend. Larry performed a few pulls here, stretch there and now my knees feel much better. The process was a little uncomfortable, but no where near the original pain that I was dealing with. I will always recommend Larry to relieve those aches and pains. "Great Job"!!

Larry is amazing. Im currently doing decompression treatments at the Chiropractor which is like having surgery without having surgery. My neck was super swollen and my muscles were rock hard. Larry massaged all of the muscles in my neck one at a time, told me to drink lots of water afterwards, and I kid you not the swelling was gone the next day and I wasnt in pain. He is a Medical Massage Therapist, so instead of general massage he actually knows how the muscles work and intermingle, he knows Trigger point, and he has been doing this for YEARS.

My husband and I had a couples massage with Cheryl and Larry today. I don’t have enough great things to say. I have been in pain for a week with a stiff neck and I can finally turn my head! Hubby had his first therapeutic massage and said he feels amazing. The couples suite was adorned with beautiful plants and lovely music. It the perfect start to our weekend. Cheryl and Larry treat you like family and it makes the experience that much better. Thank you for an amazing experience!

I had heard all sorts of good things about this place and had even watched a video interview with Larry, so thought I'd give them a shot. My appt was with Larry who pretty much sat on a rolling stool the entire time and ran his hand up and down my legs, poked around in my groin area "looking for something", quickly worked on my neck and may have touched my arms. I was there for chronic back and hip pain and he didn't ever touch my back or hips at all. He also was not interested in my case history or medical history which I found to be very odd since there are some clues there that would help him to provide the best massage experience. He pretty much did the whole "massage" from the rolling stool. He also completely left the room three or four times during my massage. I was looking for intense trigger point work and literally got nothing out of it. I need to say too that their rooms and office areas were junky and not aesthetically attractive. Every color under the sun of sheets and fraying old towels were stacked on shelves everywhere. Just tacky and unkempt in my opinion. I think that most people are looking for a calm, soothing, low stimulation environment when they go for a massage, not a junky, cluttered space.

The pressure was just right and she relaxed me from the top of my head to the tips of my toes. She was AMAZING and her prices are so affordable! I will be a regular customer for life!

Larry Atencio specializes in trigger point therapy and he does amazing work! He and his wife Cheryl own the company. After hearing rave reviews from others, I came to see if they could help. I have a tailbone injury from over 5 years ago. After seeing three doctors, three chiropractors, and two physical therapists, I was not any better. Larry did more in a few sessions to help with relief and healing than all the others combined! I highly recommend them!
