I went to Sandr's for a braided ponytail. Very neat, quick service, and competitive pricing. Best braid experience I've had in a long while. The only thing that needs improvement is the appointment scheduling system, but the are very accommodating in spite of.

Sandra African Hair Braiding is the best place to get your hair braided on South Side of town. Both Big Sandra and Lil Sandra are the bomb 💣 at hair braiding.

I sent my daughter to them. All her braids are falling out. She had her hair up for two weeks and they look horrible. I will never ever go back to them.

The hair they use is cheap, stiff and it itches. They are rude, rough on your hair and don’t care about hair protection. I had to tell them many times that they were too rough and breaking my hair. I don’t not recommend them and they need to go out of business. Also, I scheduled an appointment with Sandra and her daughter and this other rude lady came. And they tried to up the price. I would NEVER recommend them.

I was recommended by a family member to come here over a year ago and I really liked their work. Very neat and affordable. So that’s why I decide to come back for some braids TODAY. I called them on Thursday and whoever I spoke to on the phone asked what braids I wanted, the price and was I available to come in at 9AM on Saturday which is today. I told her that’s fine I will see her at 9. I get here at exactly 9 to a shop where everyone is looking at my crazy after I told them my name and what I was getting. The same woman who braided my hair a year ago said she rescheduled her client to come in today because she was suppose to do her hair yesterday. Well what does that have to do with me when I already scheduled on Thursday? I was beyond heated and she could tell because she apologized. She offered for me to come back at 3 when she was finished with my client. She even asked me for my phone number cuz she stated she didn’t have it which was very unprofessional. How do you set appointments then? I will never go back because that was an inconvenience that messed up my entire day where I had to call around to other braid shops who could take a walk in at the last minute. She didn’t offer a discount or anything for this. If you can’t handle something as simple as scheduling we can’t do business. Like I said before I won’t be back and I will gladly take my money elsewhere.
