I have loved everything about this salon from the day it opened its doors. The collection of talent, and diverse skill set these stylists have here is unique. They can confidently meet any hair needs. An army of artists and personalities, it would be easy to write a book about… a bestseller. Easily the best salon in BK, definitely NYC, maybe even the entire east coast.

My hair was platinum blonde before and they got it to this beautiful deep red that is exactly what i asked for. And added curtain bangs and tons of layers. The stylists are extremely nice and the place is very beautiful and clean inside. Would definitely recommend for color, cuts and blowouts!

This wasn't just a simple haircut, this was a wonderful experience. I had to attend a wedding and needed a fresh look. Rebecca took care of me, it was such an authentic New York experience while i was waiting for my cut I was treated to wine and I was treated like I was family. She gives the best curly hair cuts in all of Brooklyn. I was pampered and treated like a king! I highly recommend this place for all genders and and ages this I came out of there feeling like a million bucks!

Had a fantastic experience here, and I’m a very picky curly girl with high standards for curly cuts! My stylist Christina was so lovely and kind and made me feel immediately heard and at ease. She listened carefully and asked questions about what I wanted and was responsive to feedback throughout, doing a few small touch ups at the end that perfected it! The space is sunny modern and still feels classic and vintage. Loved the whole experience and my head feels so much better already!

I agonized for hours before writing this review - but if one curly haired girl can learn from my experience, maybe it would be worthwhile. I had a beautiful curly mane of hair that I absolutely loved. After research online and recommendations, I went to Sara June yesterday for my first curly cut. I took reference photos with long curly hair to show that I wanted additional layers to lighten my hair but to maintain the length. At my consultation, my stylist showed me the length that would be cut from my hair (abt 1.5 inches) so I felt confident. Here are my before and after photos. I was horrified. Cut hair is like spilled milk, what is done is done. And mistakes were on me as well - once it was gone, I plastered a smile on my face although it was agony on the inside. The salon is beautiful and the people are lovely. If you are considering going here for a curly cut, please do learn from my mistakes: 1. Get a mirror and have them show you how much they are cutting from behind. Don’t take away the mirror. I could tell that more and more was being chopped off but assumed it was the higher layers. 2. Ask for the things your hair needs. I mentioned in my consult that I have dryer hair so I use a lot of moisture products. They are not fans of heat protectant although we know that high heat is bad for curly hair without protecting it. 3. Be vocal - I fell into the trap of wanting to be polite even when things were terribly wrong. I’m sure we all have done it but don’t fall into that habit. It takes years and so much love to grow curly hair - please don’t let someone take away your mane, like they did mine. UPDATE: I did contact the salon directly and spoke with the owner who offered a full refund.

Nice place tucked inside of an apartment building. Skilled hair dressers for curly and straight hair . Super pricey and pricing can be opaque. Only haircuts and styling for my teenage daughter and her bestie cost me 300.00 for one and 280.00 for the other not including tip. Sorta of felt like getting your car serviced in a town with a mechanic you have just met...

The salon's interior is so fresh and I love the relaxed vibe. I came originally only for a touch up on my color to cover up my greys and was immediately sold on freshening up my cut as well. My stylist Julian was amazing from start to finish. I loved how he could match my vibe the entire time I was there, whether I wanted to chit chat or look blankly at my phone. He also knew right away I wanted some face shaping layers. He was really respectful and carefully listened to what I wanted. Really happy with my results and I'll definitely be back to see Julian to touch up my greys.

I had my first visit @ Sara June this week and was really happy with the results. Shannon cut my hair & did a partial balayage and it was just the glow up that I needed after a long winter. The salon vibe was cozy & laid back and the cost was really fair for NYC pricing. Would recommend!

I've been going to Sara June for years and usually use Hannah, who is a freakin rockstar. She was booked up, so I booked a haircoloring appointment with Julian, hoping to take my reddish-brown to a dimensional platinum blonde in one session. Julian was absolutely incredible. I felt so safe in his hands and it was such a beautiful experience with a stunning end result. I half expected to go in with my red locks just to hear "this is impossible in one sitting"...but he took me all the way there. A true artist, gentle, communicative, incredible instincts. I really can't recommend him enough. Thank you, Julian!

I’m usually not one to post reviews but my experience here was not good. The people were nice, my stylist was nice too but she seemed like she didn’t know what to do with my hair, as I overheard her ask another stylist what to use for my type of hair etc. either way I didn’t mind because it’s not bad to ask others for opinions but the results of my hair show what an awful job was done. I asked for a ginger and blonde money pieces but my stylist said that couldn’t be done cause of my previous color that I had and it wouldn’t lift which I completely understand and we came to an agreement to do only ginger all over but my hair now looks like it was only bleached and blow dried as no toner was used. I didn’t even receive a proper service with my blow dry as it seemed they were rushing and as shown in the pictures one side is waves and another one is just flat. I came here because others recommended me but as of now I don’t think I’ll be recommending this place to others.

This is the best salon! I’m so happy I found this place. Kalina is AMAZING! I have really thick dry blonde hair and she gave me the most incredible color and my hair felt so soft and silky afterwards. HIGHLY recommend Kalina especially for blondes!

This is the best local salon! I’ve tried them all. Great stylists (Hannah and Sevin in particular) super friendly vibe, expert cuts and color, and a non pretentious environment. Don’t hesitate, they won’t steer you wrong
