Hair Styling Lesson - if you’ve always wanted to learn how to use a round brush to blow out your hair well - Sarah is the answer! Ive been looking for a lesson in this for a long time and hadn’t found good option. I went in and we did an hour long lesson that was 1:1, centered around questions I specifically had. She recommended the best toools for the job and answered everything I asked about. It’s worth the investment to have a great learning experience - I know I couldn’t have taught myself as well and wouldn’t have ever taken the time to really try anyway. Plus she has a great curated set of products to shop from. Just a really fun and educational experience!

SKH is truly magical! I’ve had the privilege to get my hair cut and colored with Taylor. She is so welcoming! She genuinely goes above and beyond to make sure you leave feeling beautiful and cared for. Sarah has created a space that is so special. Her passion, knowledge, and attention to detail are standout! She really helped me figure out new options for my skin and makeup routine and was willing to take her time to teach me. I couldn't recommend SKH enough!

I found SKH a year ago and have had SUCH a positive experience at the salon. Sarah and Taylor are so talented, and I always leave the salon feeling myself (as the kids say). I just had a baby and came home absolutely beaming with confidence after a haircut with Taylor, which is pretty incredible 12 weeks after having a baby. If you are considering a visit to the salon, you won’t regret it!

I’ve spent the last 18 months or so looking at all the gorgeous hair on SKH’s Instagram page. It had been 10 years or so since last coloring my hair (a terrible experience that I vowed to never do again) but I couldn’t get over how beautiful, multidimensional and effortless their work looked! Finally I pulled the trigger, Sarah called me almost immediately after I submitted the form and was refreshingly frank and open so I knew what to expect - outcome, price, experience. The salon is small, making the experience feel more luxurious, comfortable and intimate than any other trip to the salon. The outcome was amazing! We chopped a LOT and Taylor left me feeling like I’d made a new friend. I went from always wearing my dark frizzy hair up in a ponytail to styling it on a regular basis and taking a lot more pride in my appearance. It feels a little overdramatic to say it was life changing but honestly it really helped my self esteem and that IS life changing. Thanks a million, SKH!

I found my new salon home!! I had a bad experience with extensions at a different studio and came to the Sarah Kahn team to have my haircut corrected. Taylor blew me away with her skill and gave me the most beautiful haircut — I feel like myself again! So excited for my next haircut!

I have been seeing Sarah for over a year. Each time I leave feeling like a million dollars, but the most recent time she blew my hair out of the water!! We lightened (balayage) and cut my hair. When I went to work the next day, people I barely talk to kept being like ‘you’re glowing. Did you lighten your hair?’ ‘Your hair looks amazing!’ Etc etc. Separately, my skin routine comes from her salon too. I have a lot of sensitives, but Sarah talked me through her products and their ingredients. Honestly, my skin has never looked better. All that to say, I am beyond grateful to Sarah! My hair has never been stronger or looked better.

I came to Sarah through instagram and really needed help finding natural skin/hair products that are also free of gluten, as I have an allergy. I don’t live in the Seattle area, but she has been so helpful virtually and has helped me find products that really work for me. My skin truly transformed and GLOWS and my hair became so much softer and healthier after using her recommendations. I truly notice such a difference in her products, they are unmatched to anything i’d find at any natural grocery store, drugstore, or makeup store. Other products are so drying and just not good for my skin/hair so i’m so glad I have Sarah! She has even reached out to companies on my behalf to make sure they are safe for me - that is truly amazing customer service! Thank Sarah for your expertise in finding the best of the best for me!

I cannot recommend Sarah Kahn Hair ENOUGH!! I've been seeing Taylor for about 1.5 years, and before coming to SKH I had thin, dry, brittle hair. Before Taylor, I resigned to the fact that my hair could never be full or long. They are now both of those things! I have shine, length and the most beautiful dimension thanks to her expertise. I would have never believed you if you told me 3 years ago that my hair could be so long, full and thick. I now get so many compliments on my hair and am forever thankful for my experiences with Sarah Kahn Hair and Taylor. I always enjoy our conversations and the time I spend at the salon. They have the cutest shop and both Sarah and Taylor work SO hard to help you meet your hair goals!! I cannot thank them enough, and if I could give 10 stars I would!

I can’t say enough good things about Sarah Kahn Hair! The skill and thoughtfulness of both Taylor and Sarah are unmatched. I came in with extremely damaged hair in need of color correction and in one appointment they got me to a color that I loved wearing out and within 3 appointments my hair feels almost brand new. Taylor’s cut and color always looks flawless and she always sets me up for success at home recommending products that will help my hair continue to improve and protect it against future damage. In addition to their hair expertise, I always look forward to my appointment because they are both so personable and make you feel like you’ve known them forever. Great atmosphere, wonderful people, and unmatched service, you can’t beat it!

I have been going to SKH for 4 years and have so many good things to say. I go every 2-3 months and have always always walked out feeling amazing about my hair. >> Sarah and Taylor are invested in your hair and long term hair goals. And they are scientific about achieving this. They keep track of what products are working for you and ratios of color in colorings/glazes to achieve what you're looking for. >> They are wizards of hair knowledge and regularly attend events to learn about latest techniques and products. >> They are honest about realistic goals. This is AMAZING because it can be so easy to find a stylist who will give you that instagram look you asked for, but fry your hair or damage it badly in the process (not to mention the expense of upkeep for some styles). Sarah and Taylor will give it to you straight and be honest about how a style will age, care required, and cost of upkeep. >> And they are wonderful people. Fun, kind, even reassuring when you (me) have really wrecked your hair (at a DIFFERENT salon) and they come to the rescue to salvage it. Pictures: (Blonde) my hair after 3-4 years of only SKH hair treatment. (Rose Gold) after a SKH appointment when I tried a color gloss for some fun. (Pink) after SKH appointment where they rescued my hair from INKY BLACK (different salon didn't understand how porous my hair is and also didn't communicate the permanence of the dye they were going to use) and brought me to a bright fun pinker than pink <3.

I’ve been seeing Taylor for over a year and she’s fantastic. I trust her implicitly and I always leave the salon with a haircut that I love. I recently decided to add some subtle color to my dark hair for dimension, and Taylor gave me exactly the look that I was hoping for. She’s the best! While my service is a fabulous men's cut with Taylor (and many previously with Sarah), I've referred many clients with long hair for a multitude of services - Sarah is a master colorist, they have the cutest salon, and the best products. Taylor and Sarah are incredible, and I won’t trust anyone else with my hair. I’ve been a client for 2+ years, and see Taylor every couple months. Her cuts and color grow out beautifully and look incredibly natural. About a year ago, Taylor helped me start the transition from blonde to a darker copper, and I couldn’t be happier. People literally stop me on the street to comment on my hair - and most of them think it’s my natural color. Love, love, love Sarah Kahn Hair - go and you won’t be disappointed!

Just recently moved to Seattle and needed a new go-to stylist. I was recommended Sarah Kahn Hair and was not disappointed. Taylor made me feel safe and secure amidst covid as she helped me decide on my new hairstyle, as well as giving her expert advice on what would look cute. And you better believe I came out cute! I didn't have to direct her or suggest to her much at all. In fact, she really knew what my hair liked in terms of how to cut it, where my cowlicks gave me trouble, etc., and I loved talking with her during my first appointment. Worth EVERY Penny and More!! I came to Sarah after the sudden death of my 40 year old husband and father of our four children. To say I was feeling vulnerable...is an understatement. Due to the impact of grief on my body I had lost so much hair and I felt like a mess! Sarah was SO kind and she listened. She said, "I hear you Sarah, and if you will stick with me...we will get you the best hair of your life in 12 months!" She made good on her word in less time than that. :) Sarah has been a big part of my healing journey and I am so thankful I didn't let cost dictate the value of me feeling beautiful and whole! If you want the best that Seattle has to offer when it comes to hair color and cut, you have found the place! After going to multiple large salons, I've fully been converted to this boutique experience. Between the extensive knowledge Sarah and Taylor possess around hair and making a creative vision an actuality, they will never have me going to another salon. Their services are for everyone (not just hair fanatics). I personally need a low maintenance haircut and color that will last through 6 months, which was done with no issue. Thank you for making me fall in love with my hair again!

Oh, where do I even begin!? SKH is an absolute dream. The salon is conveniently located within the MarQueen Hotel. From the finishes to the decor, this salon is charming, clean, and well designed. COVID precautions are impeccable. Sarah is warm and incredibly welcoming. My husband and I have moved around over the last couple years and I normally DREAD seeing a new stylist, but after stalking SKH on Instagram and meeting her in person, I knew I had come to the right place. Sarah explained in detail what she would do to my hair (cut and color) and why. She went even further to explain why she recommends specific products for my hair type and lifestyle. Above everything, Sarah is SO talented. She collaborated with me to fulfill my vision; she succeeded and went beyond. One of the most impressive aspects of this salon is the dedication to using clean and nontoxic products, and there's more than just hair care. Sarah took me through the salon and together we explored healthier options for hair, skincare, and makeup. Her prices are higher than other stylists, but for the overall experience, availability of nontoxic products, attention to detail, and pure talent, it is well worth it. I am already looking forward to my next visit!
