I hesitated to post this but after contemplating for many months I hope I can spare someone else from wasting their time and money on laser hair removal at Satin Med Spa. It is extremely painful which it shouldn't be -- if you are looking for laser hair removal, look for the GentleMax Pro. Semper, Milan Laser, and other options are around Charlotte if you look hard enough. After having laser done for 5 years in northern Virginia and having maintenance needed on my brazilian 1-2 times a year and just getting started on my armpits 6-months in, I moved to Satin Med Spa. After using 2 treatments packages (I think 4-5 sessions total on each area from Feb-Sept), hair started to come back due to lack of treatment and my armpits were like nothing ever happened. After switching to a spa that actually has the GentleMax Pro (like my previous spa did), all is almost back to normal and back on track as expected.

Completed two separate laser hair removal packages (7 sessions) including brazilian and unfortunately, they were not effective. It's been less than a year since my last session (with an annual session done per their guarantee on top of the 7 and extra sessions out of pocket) and the hair has grown back to full thickness as if I never had laser removal. Disappointing because while getting laser, it appeared to be working but once you wait longer than 8 weeks, the hair grows back. And now that it has been 6+ months, the hair has been back like before laser hair removal. Might work for lighter complexion but definitely not effective for darker complexion at Satin Med Spa. Would avoid completely if you have darker complexion and spend your money elsewhere.

I regretfully need to share an unfortunate experience I had at Satin. I bought 2 laser hair removal packages (paid upfront in full) and after completing the last session (6) have absolutely zero results to show. I am so disappointed and upset that I wasted so much money and have no results to show for it. I am a perfect candidate for hair laser, with pale skin and very dark hair, but I am unsure what went wrong. Whether it was tech error or what? It seems as though there is a revolving door of staff at the spa, as I had multiple different techs working the laser during my sessions. I should have done more due diligence before selecting this location but was fooled by the “Satin Guarantee” that I now know is intentionally vague because otherwise people would see right through the BS. The “guarantee” is that you can come back 2 additional times, spaced 1 year apart each after you finish the 6th session. As I had no results by the 6th session, I asked what could be done and was told I could purchase MORE sessions, which was infuriating to me. Why would I buy more sessions after not getting any results? I ended up finding another laser hair removal provider and saw noticeable results after the first session. Another thing I wanted to comment on/warn others about is the insanely expensive Neogen laser. My mother in law made an appointment at Satin for this treatment and paid an obscene amount. Unfortunately for her, she also did not get ANY results. She was sold snake oil with this laser and after further research regrets wasting her time and money on this. Would not recommend Satin. There are many more qualified plastics and derms in the area for laser treatment.

Every experience and service I've had there has been fantastic. They had the most update machine in all of Charlotte for tattoo removal (especially for Red ink). Same machine is used for hair and vein removal, which I've also had those treatments. Staff is great, knowledgeable, and experienced. Place is relaxing and clean.

I don't like that I'm having to write this review, but I want to inform others that you must do your own research before getting a treatment performed here. I've had some good experiences, so I gave 2 stars, but after my last appointment I won't be going back. I purchased a diamond glow facial on a special. I went in end of July with a few active acne spots on my chin, and commented I hoped the procedure will help clear it up. She said it would help. For the serum options there was a salicylic acid option and I deferred to her expertise if she would recommend that to help with the acne, and she did. I own that I did not do research before the procedure, and have since learned you should not have this performed on active acne as the wand will drag the bacteria across your face. A good esthetician should advise against it, and even some say they would reject the procedure all together and postpone until acne clears up, or at least avoid that area. My face and neck are wrecked. It is now ~1 month later, and I am being put on oral and topical antibiotics by my Dermatologist because of the damage done to my skin.

My daughter and I go to CJ. She is kind, knowledgeable, and professional with a great sense of humor! We go to her for laser hair removal. The results are amaaaazing. If you have ever even thought about it, don't, just do it!

Ashley is amazing!! I went in for a NeoGen plasma treatment, which terrified me. Because of Ashley's bedside manner, her patient coaching, and her provided anesthetics, the experience was shockingly easy and pain free. Excellent experience!

Do not buy any packages, because you will end up losing your money. LISTEN TO ME: If you can’t just go somewhere else, just buy TODAY’s WORTH!!! I bought a package of three sessions. I did one. I got in a literal accident the day of the second appointment and she’s so money hungry she assessed a fee so I said I didn’t want the other services. According to consumer laws, you don’t have to pay for what you don’t receive. She made it seem like this package was a single treatment. The package has NO medical significance. It is a bundle for pricing purposes. As shown on her records. This is consumer fraud. She’s going to keep my money and not give services? This is NOT WHO YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH guys. UPDATE: permanent scarring on my tattoo removal. I wanted a tattoo removal and went to 8 sessions at another place. My first session here left me with a knot on the side of my face.

Do not get your lips done here. The nurse that did my lips unevenly distributed the filler and additionally promised a false outcome. When I tried to notify the medspa by sending detailed photos outlining the uneven lips and request resolution they refused, only giving me the option to dissolve the filler. They have nurses that do great skinpen treatments, just stay away from the lip filler.

Love this place! Went in originally just from laser hair removal but ended up getting lip fillers. Courtney is awesome! She was my injector and she gave me realistic expectation of how it would look. I also had no bruises and you couldn't even tell where the stick the needle at. Photo on the left is right after getting them done and this photo is exactly one week after!! Amazing results ! Definitely ready for my second syringe!

Staff is always super friendly, facilities are clean, and the laser hair removal has been extremely effective. They are locally owned so you matter more to them than the other corporate chains around. Plus, their prices are much better than the chains so you can’t lose!

The services have been good for the most part. I’m really disappointed at the lack of care by the front desk staff and management. I asked to have a manager call me to discuss additional options for services I purchased and it’s been 5 days and I have yet to hear from anyone. I even let staff know that I was considering specials offered by competitors and wanted to get their opinions and feedback since I had trusted Satin for many years. It appears that my loyalty doesn’t matter and they are ok with me walking away and going with a different med spa. I take these things very seriously and once I feel unheard and unappreciated that is when I walk away.

I love Satin Med Spa! They have such a wonderful team of providers that truly care about you and want to make you comfortable! Some Med Spas can be intimidating, but the Satin team goes out of there way make you feel taken care of. I've had botox, filler, as well as tried most of the facials and let me tell you they have been game changers! They don't overdo anything, they help figure out how to enhance the features you already have while keeping you looking like YOU. 10/10 recommend, you are in wonderful hands with ANY of the girls there.

My favorite place to go in Charlotte! I’ve gotten both lip fillers and laser hair removal, and they are extremely skilled in both. I’ve tried other places in the area— but no where has compared to here. They take their time and make you feel super comfortable :) I attached pics of my lips for reference.

So so clean- AND THEIR STAFF, sweet, knowledgeable and so so comforting. I got filler for the first time in December and I felt like I was in great hands with Brenda and staff. They are always so helpful with scheduling. New favorite med spa in charlotte!!! I also get laser hair removal and filler and Botox with Ashley and you can’t go wrong here!!
