I don’t understand why this salon isn’t like super high rated. Nina transformed my hair with great color and cut. I won’t trust my hair to anybody else. The place looks humble for Gold Coast standards but the service is five diamonds.

I have been to Milan, Barcelona, Bucharest, New York and all over the expensive salons in Chicago, and I have never been as satisfied and happy as I was after I did my hair here. Athra was absolutely amazing, so sweet, kind and patience. She is fantastic!!! She should charge more for the amazing work she is doing. I got full highlights and a haircut and it looks so nice and natural. It's actually cheap compared to other places in Chicago. I can't wait to go again hahahaha.

I went in to get highlights but the hairstylist recommended I should get balayage. I showed him pictures of the color I wanted my hair he rushed the procedure and left me with a copper color instead of the caramel color I had originally asked for. He told me it would lighten up after washing my hair. He was also very neglectful at the salon while doing my hair. I called the salon a week after and explained to them the whole situation and they scheduled me for another appointment free of charge. I ended up getting the same hair stylist and he was even more neglectful the second he didn’t even bother putting the cape on me and time rushing the process and even checking GPS to see how long it would take him to get home while doing my hair. My hair ended up coming out even more copper/red than the first time I am very dissatisfied with this hair salon and how my hair came out both times I will never give them my business again.

Paul did an amazing job on my hair! He is very knowledgeable about the different hair styles and hair products. I enjoyed our conversation and appreciated all his advice. I love how soft and smooth my hair feels. Would definitely recommend!!

I came in for a dye highlight and style and for 130 ended up paying 450 and thats fine if my hair was nice I went in and had black roots(natural hair) and red hair they bleached my hair and it was blonde and pink then dyed it and the top turned red and bottom turned brown and then they did highlights and now I have red hair with highlights at top n brown hair with highlights at bottom. When I expressed my concerns he said I look fine my kids were waiting and I've been there 7 hours so I just left when I get home I realized how much of a difference it is . When I put my hair in a ponytail half my head has highlights and one thick highlight next to my ear the the other side had no highlights. I called in and expressed my concerns with multiple people Update:Paul is trying to fix my hair im great full there trying to fix it fingers crossed it comes out good. Update: he added more beautiful highlights but the red still came through so we had to add brown on top.He was very professional and kind and tried his best to fix it . Update:after $450 spent highlights bleach dyed multiple times my hair is now red brown on top and brown on bottom and is fried but its more blended and even looking but im going to have go my stylist near home to go over it again to fix it because it is different colors and doesn't look even but I appreciate the effort put in to correct the mistakes. He was very kind and did a very nice marocon oil treatment in my hair.

I have been going to this salon for over 10 years! This family run business has it all! Friendly and caring staff that do wonderful work! They service my whole family! They truly take care of you like your one of the family! Please stop by and check it out! Support your local family run small businesses! I recently got my hair colored and highlighted by Paul. We had a great conversation about his kids and his grandkids. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about hair. I also get my manicure done by Eva. She does amazing work every time!

Was not experienced in African American hair and proceeded to try to fabricate a story that they needed a special certification in order to even be able to touch an African American's hair in the state of Illinois. Several individuals licensed in cosmetology verified this was completely untrue. I am unsure why they would say this when anyone with internet access or a smart phone can verify the validity of this within seconds. Cosmetology does not single out one races hair over another. If you do not feel comfortable in your level of your craft it is okay to say so but it is not okay to lie and make excuses to avoid ownership or accountability. The worst part of the experience is knowing that I had been seen and assisted by a stylist earlier this year who had actually done a very good job despite their experience in African American hair. I commend that stylist for trying and also being honest about their abilities. This time around I was never even asked what type of service I needed to have done... I think a simple buzz cut on the sides and back of already short hair is something any base level or even entry level stylist can perform. I can 110% feel confident saying this salon does a disservice to anyone who calls themselves a beautician and I will NEVER recommend anyone to have services done there. ...African American or otherwise

Above and beyond service even if you don't spend a lot of money. Nina is fantastic with my curly hair and my husband loves Paul. Sam does my hair when Nina is out and he is just as great!

Nina is amazing. The salon is beautiful. The whole staff is welcoming and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I've never had a disappointing experience and I get countless compliments after every visit thanks to Nina's talent. I'll never go elsewhere as long as I can get to her and the salon. I can't recommend her (and the salon) enough. Streeterville elegance without the typical Streeterville prices. It's a firm "Do Not Miss" spot on my favorites list. 😊

Fabulous! I had nails done while on a pass from the hospital. The people at the salon totally understood what I needed, were incredibly kind, and the woman who did my nails, also gave me the most wonderful hand massage!! I will keep going there from now on.
