Best haircut of my life! My hair is very fine with medium density. Mark quickly identified the issues with layering my hair, even subtly, and recommended a blunt cut which he executed with precision. It takes an experienced professional to recognize when simpler is better.

I had a wonderful experience at the Salon. Thank you Eleanor for a perfect cut and for listening to my needs. I have had a handful of bad haircuts over the last few years but decided to take a chance while on a trip to Charlotte (I live in Houston). I could not be happier with my hair cut and the time and attention Eleanor spent with me. I absolutely plan to go back for a follow up cut!

I had my haircut here today. I was very nervous due to the fact its been a very long time for me to find a right stylist. Had a very bad experience with my last person (not from Sean Rocco) Mark was so sweet and just very understanding on what I was trying to achieve. It was a great experience from the start when I walked in to leaving the salon. My hair is exactly what I wanted. Thank you Mark, you truly are a blessing! I love my hair!

Ive been trying to get a light brown/dark blonde color for years and Sinead Glynn was able to do it in one sitting! Its everything that Ive been looking for! Im so glad I found her, Ive been coloring my hair for well over 10 years and she has blown me away, so amazing!

Sean is very cognizant of his craft. I was pleasantly surprised by the guidance and education that was provided regarding the science of color, art of style, and best practice behind maintenance/care. I came in with some wild ideas for my naturally dark, but processed hair, and am very happy that we chose to take my hair goals one step at a time. He also performed a few impromptu snips to clean up some damaged ends, and my cut immediately felt balanced, where it did not before.

Ok. I have been in a major funk with my hair, and I have not felt pretty hair-wise In a long time! I had a bad hair cut a year ago and my hair still had not bounced back to a style I felt good in. I feel a little intimated when it comes to hair cuts because I never know if I’m saying the right things to get the cut I want (plus I got totally botched last year) , but Melissa makes an effort to understand and she takes a very conservative approach to achieve the look you didn’t even know you wanted. Mellisa is patient, thoughtful, and kind, and she will carefully give you a hair cut that you will love. She’s awesome. Anyway, I could go on and on, but I mainly just want to thank Melissa for making me feel brand new and sparking some major joy in my life with my cute new hair.

Prepping 6 months for an important Photoshoot, I went to the Salon with a photo (my roots touched up & some highlights) & my hair history (it had been dyed once & darkened once by their salon). I was told “no problem”. I got dried-out hair & no highlights, but I paid & left. I was very upset & decided to go back to get it fixed. I calmly asked the stylist but had a client so someone else washed my hair w/serum saying it would pull ALL the demi-color out of my hair & turn it red. (They used permanent on roots & demi on the rest.) She called Sean. I explained I was worried about having black hair for 3 inches & then the rest being red. He yelled that my hair would have to be either red or dark, it wouldn't do anything else. I know that's not true. He told me it was bc it would take a year of monthly visits at $100+ to get highlights the 'right' way (using a 10 developer to prevent damage although this wasn’t revealed at the beginning). Being from a family of cosmetologists, I know 10 is used to deposit, not lift color. When I pointed this out to Sean he started yelling “there is 'no way to know what the hair will do, cause we don't know how many times you've been to a salon the past few months or what was used”. I reminded him his salon was the only one I'd been to in a year & they had a record of the one previous dye type, developer level etc. He got very nasty & blamed me for everything wrong not holding his staff accountable. He demanded he wash my hair w/serum to strip some of the color. As he did, he pulled my hair & yelled at me about not knowing how hair or dye works firing rapid questions like 'so what exactly did you say, because we need to figure out where you-we had this miscommunication' & 'well you said you didn't want to lighten your hair'. My reply was cut to three words before he’d talk over me, tell me what I was thinking!, Misquoting me. My stylist stepped in to say that I had not said any of it. Sean got angrier. At this point, I was crying because my hair is ruined & I'm being yelled at. We went to blow dry my hair & he barked the names of the two stylists saying 'let's just be civil about this & get past it' (he's been the only one yelling.) He asked them what I said & where I had a 'miscommunicated'. My stylists agreed with me on everything until I pointed out that I asked them NOT to put a dark glaze on my hair because the highlights were dull & I didn't want it darker. They had been talking & I said 'no, just leave it like it is, I don't want it darker.' The stylist apologized for not hearing me, but Sean started screaming & kept saying I was a liar. He’d been brushing my hair harshly & painfully. The stylist noticed, said she'd brush my hair, but he refused, & continued pulling out my hair. He kept 'you need to come every month for a year' & I told him through my sobbing that my job (Acting) does not allow for hair changes because you have to match your headshot. If you make a changes, they must be updated to match (industry standard photos are over $600). I knew many actors who got their hair done in one sitting. He then begins to scream, tell how my own industry works & that he 'used to be a Hollywood actor' & I could dye my hair any color & cut it a few minutes before an audition & they wouldn't care. He'd done it before (he just said you can't dye/bleach your hair in one sitting w/o being ruined) I explained this will get you a bad reputation & I'd been yelled at for not matching my headshots. He rolled his eyes & kept screaming about being right for several minutes then told me he'd see me to lighten my hair over a few months. This process took 5 hours, my hair is nothing like what I asked for, I was screamed at, had my hair pulled out & was put down endlessly. The stylist apologized for him but he should be professional. I tried to tip my stylist but she wouldn't take it. They refunded the service, but my hair is ruined & my headshots are as well. I will never go back.

Sean is an amazing stylist and I could not be happier with my cut and color. I’ve been going for about a year now and each experience is fabulous. I wasn’t sure I was ready to start coloring my grays, and Sean talked me through the options with no pressure. When I finally decided it was time, I was amazed at how perfectly he matched my color and how pleased I am with the results!! I’ve also had the just had a smoothing treatment with Melissa and it also looks wonderful. I’m very happy with my results!

Extremely disappointed in attitude of stylist, Sean. I walked in with pics of what I did not want. I then shared pics of what I liked. I was told by Sean that ‘I am the professional and I will tell you what you need’. I was willing to listen to his opinion on what my hair type should and could accommodate. I was told he would share pics in his book and we could collaborate on styles based on my hair type. The book was never shared. It was suggested I receive a cut like the neighboring client. I directly said ‘I do not want that kind of cut’. My instincts said to leave, yet I stayed for cut and foils because Aveada salons have a reputation for conservatism. I was certain he probably would not leave me with a uncorrectable mess.Upon completion, I was asked how I liked it. I abruptly stood and remarked that it was ‘it was not what I asked for’ , paid the bill, and exited. I have never been to a salon where the customer is given no say in services.

Malissa was Outstanding. I wasn’t sure what I wanted but I knew I wanted more style and she did just that. I feel beautiful and the atmosphere was extremely comfortable. The assistant upfront was so sweet and genuine. I’m definitely going back. Thanks y’all!
