I love the ladies in there! they worked super hard and did it with a speedy time. I also loved how they had Christian music playing, and it was a friendly space for all, but one thing I did not like was the products in the in front of the braiding shop so I had gotten Hicks edges to style my edges after and it was very disappointing. The picture will explain it, but it was less than half full kind of melted like it’s been heated up or melted in the hot temperature and then re-activated but other than that, the store was great. I do recommend buying the bonnet from the store. They are from a place in Africa themselves so definitely check those out.

I've been coming here for years and after my last hair appointment I won't come back. I had multiple issues which I brought to attention which required me to come back three separate times and my hair still wasn't fixed properly and I had open sores on my scalp and damage to my hair from them constantly pulling trying to fix the hairstyle that they didn't get done the first time or the other two to three times when I had to come back. I wasn't even giving the option to get my money back and overall I spent over $300 between the hairstyle and the hair that I wasted and I never even got to wear my hair the way it was supposed to because it was messed up the entire time This was over the course of just two weeks. I don't like leaving bad reviews for companies but I brought this to their attention four times and I did not get a proper resolution.

Needs to get a calendar ASAP, needs to know how to schedule appointments appropriately, needs to have more licensed braiders in the shop, needs to work on customer service skills, and needs to take accountability for wrong actions. Sena does great work but can’t back it up. Sena could have a better business but chooses to be ALL OVER the place and continues to make her business look bad for years. I have been to her salon for about a year and half now, she made it loud and clear that she does not remember me and does not have my number saved. As a customer who leaves tips and appreciates the business it’s sad that I am not appreciated. My issue with her was I set up an appointment on Monday to get it done Thursday and she refused to do my hair because it was “long” (mid back). I had interviews this weekend and I wanted my hair done to be prepared and she’ didn’t care. She does not deserve loyal customers!

If I could give no stars I could just based off handling the situation. Prior to this last experience my daughter had knotless from Sena…This past experience has been terrible. Box braids were done instead of knotless, super big and uneven. Promises were made to fix it but now schedule is too busy doesn’t know when can fix it. At this point I even tried to make another appointment for knotless and nothing. Below I posted what daughter got prior to her appointment and what she received this time. As you can see definitely not the same style of braids or size.

If u could give 0 starts I would. First time going here she tried to charge me more then the price discussed over phone and same with the second time. My hair on both occasions NEVER looked like the picture . They are also very unsanitary. My hair is normal the first day then form black bumps on my scalp the next . My cousin who also went here experienced the same thing. Sena is VERY greedy with her prices and I so not recommend her at all.

When I got to live in Wichita, I was looking for a place to do my braids. After some failures, I arrived with these cute girls who did the best job for me. They are very good and kind, and they always do what you want in your hair. My favorite place 🥰♥️

When we discuss the hair style and how much it was going to cost me, me in the owner both agreed on how much it was going to be because I’m a mother of 4 and keeping the price the same is very important to me . So as soon as she was done with my daughter’s hair I noticed that she did it the way she wanted to do it and tried to charge me more and as soon as I didn’t fall into her trap she was very rude to me ,instead of owning up to what she did wrong she played the victim ☹️ Please keep in mind there’s a-lot of other braiding salon in town that are great in respectful, ladies please don’t settle for less!!

After searching what salons in town do micro braids I decided to choose Sena African Hair Braiding for the first time. My hair turned out beautiful, full, and very neat. By far best braids I ever had. I will most definitely go to this salon again. Without a doubt, the best salon this city has to offer if a person wants braids. The workers are skilled and have the ability to braid hair in whatever style desired.

I asked for a specific hair style and the women doing my hair did something completely different while in the middle of doing my hair. There was just a lot of mis communication on their end, as the woman showed up late to my appointment! Do not recommend them.

I love supporting my people but what I can’t stand is not appreciating peoples time when they decide to utilize your service. I had an appointment scheduled and showed up 20-30 minutes prior to my appt expecting to wait because it wasn’t my time yet and sometimes folks can be behind. When I showed up, the braider looked confused about my appointment. She checked her book and realized I did have an appointment. Then mentioned to me that she was the only one at the shop and I was looking a a customer that just started her hair. The braider looked like she wanted me to call someone to come do my hair. She asked if I can come back tomorrow, which I replied no because I was flying back home the next day. Since she made no attempt to call another braider, I kindly said don’t worry and left. I don’t mind waiting and I don’t mind businesses correcting an error but when you just stand there looking lost waiting for me to decide what you should do…I’ll keep my money ma’am. Thankfully I washed my hair myself and didn’t waste money on that to prepare for my hair getting braided. In the future, please check your schedule at the beginning of the day so you have the personnel to take care of your customers.

Let's keep it real the owner Neffie is VERY money hungry, unprofessional and ghetto, she changes up on her prices, the other ladies/workers that she uses does a great job and are kind and generous, she uses them to her advantage and gives them what she wants which is a little bit of nothing compared to what she's charging ppl after they've done all the hard work without her assistance while she's in the back on the phone or on another head it's that complains while her workers knows the how to treat her customers, their the reason ppl go back I feel for those ladies I pray they find work elsewhere that they'll be appreciated and paid more of what they deserve Neffie you should be ashamed of yourself and trust me she changes prices compared to what she has posted on her prices board of the wall if you go to her for services make sure you get a clear understanding with her of her pricing also she'll charge you per bag of hair which she's going to use the cheapest hair I had to go to a hair store and paid cheaper than what she was trying to charge me and she won't tell you that she's going to charge you for her hair til she starts on it smh girl boo go back to Africa with all that smh treat ppl as equals...

That business owner has got to be the moodiest and most unwelcoming one I have ever met. I had to walk out a few minutes after I walked in because her facial expression and body language were so unwelcoming, from right when I walked in.

The ladies do a very nice job working as a team when there is more then 2 clients in shop. Prices are definitely reasonable and the finished product after getting service is always A+

The owner was away and it was a lot of miscommunication with only one lady working in the shop and was told to come back at a certain time or I’ll call you if I get done early, when my time was at 9am came back 3 hours later and she was on someone else’s head, I was told I would be next she started at 5pm 🤨. Do not recommend this braiding spot at all 🤬

They do a good job with braiding but the owner can be rude and sometimes the wait is incredibly long to get started. Who cares how often I like to get my hair done? I'm paying you.The pricing is inconsistent which is incredibly frustrating. I will tip if I choose to, don't increase the price by $28 because you feel like it at any given time. She uses square cash and claims there's a fee when using a card. There is no fee, they add a few extra dollars into your total so they can cash out instantly and receive the full amount when you pay with a card. Don't lie about it. Made an appointment for my daughter but wanted to see if there was an earlier time available, got no response. I tried calling and was sent straight to voicemail. I've been to this place 4/5 times and usually love how my hair turns out. When the owner is rude, can't respond, overcharges and sends me to voicemail I'll take my money elsewhere.

They got my hair done really quickly, and worked extremely hard! I came in late at 5:30 and they started at 7:30 and got me done by 11:30. However, after a closer look, I didn't end up liking my hair length. It was much shorter than I asked for and the ends weren't what I expected. I messaged the owner and asked if she would be willing to fix it or provide me a partial refund. With exception she came in on her off day and fixed my hair for me and it turned out beautiful. I will be going back and I appreciate her willingness to make sure that her customers are happy!

Gladys was very nice and respectful even when I wasn't in the chair she spoke. I was shedule to come in at a certain time but had to schedule it later in the same day. Surprisingly they still took me. There was no rush but she was tired even though I had told her if she wanted to just braid the middle into a big braid. Gladys laugh and said its my job I will do it right. I did let her know I don't like different people starting my braids I want the same person who start them to finish them. So she said I'll start them and the other lady will finish the braid, so I agreed. The turn out was wonderful. I did let them know I will be back .. Shots out to Glays you are truly awesome!!!!!
