First time getting a men's perm and it was amazing! My natural hair is super straight Asian hair and I used white curls and got the haircut I wanted as well. Highly recommend for guys getting a new style! Go to phoung she did my hair amazing Also, I came in on a Friday at 5:20 and got sat right away. The process took about 1hr and 20 mins!!

This was my first time getting a bleach treatment, and I was nervous, especially with a big event coming up. Cindy at Serenity Hair Salon exceeded my expectations! She was incredibly patient, taking her time to ensure every detail was perfect. The results were amazing, and I received so many compliments from people around the Bay Area. Cindy was also super friendly, considerate, and explained hair aftercare, which I really appreciated. Three months later, my hair still looks great! I’ll definitely be coming back for my roots. Highly recommend! 🤍

I’ve been a long customer at this hair salon for the past year. Lyn has been my stylist who has worked on my hair from blonde, to silver, and now to blue. She’s amazing to work with, patient, communicative, and provides the best customer service. I love how the blue color turned out!

I've been to this salon several times, but this was my first time getting a haircut and color done by Cindy. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about color and took the time to recommend shades that would best complement my skin tone. I absolutely love the result and couldn’t be happier with my haircut! I even referred a friend to Cindy, and she was thrilled with her work as well. Highly recommend her for anyone looking to refresh their style!

Nope lady did not listen. I told her 3 times to just keep it simple. My hair style and she just repeating same mistake 3 times. I had a phot shoot and I was stress and rescheduled my family photos they gave me a lady name Cody. Worst ever!!! At lease I was nice enough to tip her. Bad business

I came in here with really long hair that was past my chest, wanted 2 inches cut off, and was sent home with a bob & 5 inches cut off. I have had bad experiences with barbers cutting my hair much shorter than I've asked for so I always try to research places I am going to make sure that doesn't happen, and when I saw the reviews of this place I didn't think that was going to be an issue. I had Lyn cutting my hair, and she informed me that my hair was super dry and could use a treatment. I knew my hair needed a cut, wasn't planning on getting the treatment but I supposed it couldn't hurt especially if I wanted to maintain length. Once I was in the shampoo chair, I heard another lady repeat the same dry hair/needing treatment spiel to the girl next to me (so this is definitely a scam they use to get another $45 out of you, don't do it). Then despite getting the treatment, she still cut all my hair off anyways!! there's nothing I can do about the length of my hair now, but really don't want this experience to happen to any other person (esp someone who is sensitive regarding hair length). Also, my barber was chatting the entire time with other ladies while cutting my hair (maybe not paying attention, resulting in the poor length?). The light went out 4 times while my hair was getting dried as well. No one was really paying attention to their clients (the guy next to me was getting a perm, his timer went off, and his barber didn't come for a good 5 minutes after that and I could see him and his friend getting pretty tense waiting). TLDR if you want a place that listens to you, that focuses on the customer, that doesn't try to scam you (lost $110 for the useless $45 treatment + $65 LONG hair cut), DO NOT COME HERE!! def cried in my car after this experience :(

I love coming here , you call , they answer and get you in . The staff are so nice and welcoming , and know what they’re doing . If you need your lashes done , ask for Shirley , she’s one of the best lash techs in San Jose . And if you want and need your hair done , ask for Cindy , you won’t regret it !

I’ve been here twice for a men’s haircut and had great experiences both times with Anna. She did a great job paying attention to detail and working with me to figure out what kind of style I wanted. I wanted to get my sides cut shorter while keeping the top long for a middle part flow and I was extremely happy with the results. I would highly recommend coming here

I recently had the pleasure of getting a spiral perm done by Cindy. She came highly recommended by my sister who got her hair done by Cindy recently. From the moment I walked in, Cindy greeted me warmly and listened attentively to what I wanted. Look at my before and after! My hair was breaking off,felt heavy and super dry/frizzy that no matter what I did nothing helped. Lyn literally transformed my hair! She is so kind and offered me and my son something to drink . I really appreciate how she explained what we can do about my hair and made it happen! I didn't feel rushed and the environment there is so peaceful. 10 out of 10 for Lyn service

Probably the first review I’ve ever left but I genuinely wanted to show my support. I’m sure everyone working there is phenomenal, I can mainly speak for Miss Luz though since I had the chance to work with her. I asked for a haircut, a down perm on the sides and back, and a wavy perm on top and I was super happy with my results, especially since the price was better than anywhere else I could find in the area. Not only that but the stylists working there were extremely friendly. Usually I get kinda shy around small talk during hair cuts, but all of Miss Luz’s compliments really help break you out of your shell. 100% recommend coming here.

For simple hair trim they charged me 70 bucks, the hair looked same even after getting a haircut. Staff here have hard time understanding the instructions. Place is super dirty too. Never coming back here again.

I had my perm and haircut done by Jenny. She was very careful throughout the process and explained every step to make sure I understood what was going on as it was my first time getting a perm. She also ensured I was comfortable the entire time. The perm turned out so much nicer than the reference photos I provided! As for my haircut, I asked for a bobcut. Jenny gave me suggestions on what hair length that would look best with the perm style I had. I really appreciate her honesty. She also showed me how to care for my hair so that the perm has the best long-lasting effects. She took so much time with every step and I can tell she truly cared about meeting my satisfaction. Overall, I am very happy with how my hairstyle turned out. Jenny is very meticulous as well as friendly and I definitely recommend her. I do plan on coming back to get my hair done by her again.
