I came in for a much-needed long-put off hairstyling and highlighting. Unikue was my stylist and she was so great, amazing, kind, and did an absolute wonderful job on my hair! Thanks so much!

Place closes at 4pm. I arrived at 3pm. door locked....someone in chair with a color process..(waiting time).. called out to "amanda" who unlocked the door and stated she couldn't do a wet cut while the color process client was waiting.. Let me know door is locked for a reason because she is the only one here and was not taking any more clients. She did offer to get me another appt.....today was the day I needed....just as reviews stated.

Comfortable, unpretentious place with reasonable prices. Mandy's great. She listened carefully, asked lots of questions, explained--and the end result was a super cut, one that is and does exactly what I wanted. And she's fun, to boot!

David performed magic on my hair. He lifted my dark brown hair to a silver and it still looks and feels amazing. My one regret is that I didn't tip enough. I should have tipped him way way more. I just didn't have more to give him. He deserves all of it.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place….well, actually Kayla! But everyone here is so very nice and talented in their profession. Very friendly atmosphere. But, Kayla is awesome. She can tame my crazy, wild hair to look great, and she NEVER does anything I don’t want her to do. So many hairstylists insist on doing what they want and not what you ask for. She always has great suggestions and I have never been disappointed when I leave there. I can’t recommend Shag the Salon enough. You will not be sorry… I promise. .

I took my wife to get a hair cut and this rude blond lady jumps out off the sofa before we could even approach the lady at the front desk. She ask what we want, and my wife let's her know she wants a hair cut. Mind you the place is empty, but there's no available spots and we let her know we are only in town until tomorrow, but there's nothing. My wife walked out in tears because of how we were approached. You call nothing and your website doesn't have any place to make an appointment, but it does tell you to walk in. Sure you said sorry for not having an appointment, but that doesn't help the way you immediately and harshly approach us. Like you were in a rush to kick us out. Your website should have an option to make a basic appointment.

This place is the absolute BEST place I’ve gone for a haircut. I find it really weird getting a haircut at other places because I’m a teenager and it’s really hard to just stir up a conversation with my hairstylist because of the age difference and they usually don’t even try but at Shag they make me feel so welcome especially my hairstylist Mandie she’s so fun to talk to and we connect easily. The service is amazing and the past 2 haircuts I’ve gotten there are the best haircuts I’ve gotten my hair has NEVER looked so good. I have a layered cut with bangs and blue coloring on the bangs and two front pieces. My hair makes me feel so confident and has helped me so much. Anyways I love this place so much and I will continue to go back 😁😁

Conveniently located behind North Star Mall. Easy to book with. Hardworking professionals. Always return my messages (I think about a haircut around 10 p.m LOL). ROSS is my FAVE, but they are all caring, good people.

Rude!! We tried calling several times before arriving to check availability (last Wednesday at 4ish ) and no one ever answered. . my daughter really wanted to try this place out so we drove out there just to walk into an empty salon with a blonde sitting at the front desk & one lady sitting on the sofa & before we could even ask our question blondie blurts out that “she’s the only one there and she’s booked “ no offer of maybe a later availability or maybe tomorrow just simply NO!! SMH .. she was so rude. Not cool MAN!! we recently lost or mother and are having a really hard time coping & decided we all needed a fresh start and ended up a little more broken hearted that people are just so rude!! This was so disappointing! Anyways on a brighter note, we ended up at Madusas on Mccullough & got amazing service.
