I have been going to Ms. Shamim for my eyebrows (threading) for 8+ years now. The salon is extremely clean and aesthetically pleasing. Her daughter has done my facial once and I was pleased with the outcome. I travel often, so I always appreciate the flexibility. Ms. Shamim is always pleasant, warm, and professional, honest, and has a healing. I can always trust her honesty and that she will take care to make sure that I look good leaving her salon/chair. I am happy to see her success and her strength in overcoming obstacles that she is faced, while still ruining her business. Such a resilient business woman. Shamim provides outstanding service! I regularly get haircuts, eyebrow threading, and facials. Shamim is knowledgeable, skillful, personable, and works to fit your needs. The value is great! I have been going to Shamim for years and her parlor is the only one in the area I have ever been pleased with.

I got a terrible haircut here. I only went in for a 2 inch trim but she, who I’m assuming is Shamim, suggested long layers to lighten the weight since I have thick hair. I said go for it. The layers are so bad. It looks like a mistake. No blending but even blending wouldn’t save it because the shortest layer is cut from so much of my hair that there’s barely anything left to blend before the longest layer. It’s choppy, messy, and uneven. When I tried to show her the problem she kept saying that there was nothing wrong with it instead of trying to understand where I was coming from. She kept hitting the ends with the texturizing shears which scared me more since she was taking off so much hair but nothing was helping. I’m not the type to yell or cry but I will speak up when something’s wrong. She had the audacity to ask me multiple times “I don’t know why you’re getting upset I gave you exactly what you wanted. I checked with you ever step.” Even though she told me before she started cutting does not change the fact that she cut it wrong. She even tried telling me that I thought it was wrong because I “didn’t get layers before”. This is not true and clearly she wasn’t listening to me when I was in her chair because we had a whole conversation on how I had layers many times in the past. She messed up my hair but it wasn’t to the point of no return (I’m sure it’s because I stopped her). For this reason I paid her anyway ($45) as this decision is a matter of my personal morals. Had she cut it to the point of no return I would not have paid her a penny. I am going to a *truly* qualified professional to fix this. Don’t be swayed by her low prices, you’re getting worse than what you pay for.

Hi, I am Farkhanda from New York, recently I visited Cary NC. I went for eyebrow threading at Shamim beauty parlor. Owner Shamim did it alone, and I feel her hands are very light. Then I also say to her for my hair cutting. She is an awesome hair stylist—a very clean and well-organized parlor. Prices are very reasonable. I recommend to everyone go there.

One of my favourite parlours in the Triangle. I always come out with a happy face. Facial is a must try and hair cut and coloring is great too! What is promised is what you get. And Shamim is understanding and sweet. Also priced right unlike some over the top places :)

Shamim Beauty Parlor is my FAVORITE facial place. she makes it not only about the skincare, but also the whole experience. from the relaxing music, comfortable blankets, clean smell, and neck and arm massages, these facials are definitely worth my drive from apex to downtown cary. i recommend this place to all of my friends since i have been coming here for almost 6 years on and off. no doubt the best facials in the rtp area!

Shamim did a fabulous haircut for me. I have thick hair and she added nice layers to my hair. The layers look nice on my natural hair as well as when I get a blowout done. Even my other hairstylist at Ulta Beauty praised the nicely done layers in my hair.

Shamim did my bridal make up over 20 years ago and continues to take care of me through her services. She works with deification and passion always delivering above and beyond expectations! I have very sensitive skin and she makes sure never to use any harsh products. I am surprised that I’m all these years she kept her prices reasonable also! Highly recommend !!!

This woman absolutely destroyed my eyebrows. I am a male and I have naturally thick and full eyebrows and I like them that way. I told her to just clean it up. I wanted a basic threading and tinting. Nothing fancy. Because I had a work event. She proceeded to over thread my eyebrows to the point where they are absolutely unrecognizable and super thin, But she also completely changed the natural shape. And the eyebrows don’t even look similar. They are both two different shapes. She then proceeded to tint my eyebrows with this heavy black tint. I told her that the tint was a little too dark and she needs to lighten it up a bit for it to look natural. But she ignored what i said. I left that parlour looking like a clown. I have never in my life seen eyebrows this bad before. It’s so bad that my iPhone won’t even unlock because it doesn’t recognize my face anymore. I’m never stepping foot in that place again. And telling everyone I know. People have been shocked and laughed at how terrible these eyebrows look. I couldn’t even attend the work event because these eyebrows were so terrible. Been with Shamim beauty parlor for good twenty years.She is excellent at her job. Very charming and friendly. She always goes out of her way to suggest a perfect color and style for me even it means extra 30 mins of her time and patience and effort. Her quality of service is always consistent. A happy customer in the past in the present and will remain a happy and loyal customer.

DO NOT GO THERE! This parlor is not where you should go. In addition to being really RUDE, the woman who did my hair and color ruined it and doesn't know anything about hair color. I went to her salon to fix my hair, she was way too rude and She couldn't bring the hair color I wanted, rather i started loosing my hair .she doesn't even know how to give a hair cut. I spent $165 for hair color and its not worth it, she should give my money back. I am definitely not going there and I will make sure no is going there from our community. I will never go there!!!!!!

Found this gem by accident, and I am so happy that I did. My son's girlfriend had a haircut earlier in the day and was so unhappy with it. I called for an "emergency" fix thinking I would be in the next day. We were told come in now and within ten minutes she was so happy she was beaming. Decided to try it out myself the next day and my god it was fantastic. The facial was just what I needed to finally relax. Highly recommend!!!

This was my fiancé and I first time here. We had a very good experience. Everything was fully explained to us and full details of each type of facial. She is very reasonably priced. Shamim really took her time and did not rush at all. She saw both of us at the same time. I highly recommend going here for all your beauty needs. We will definitely be back. :)
