Geneva gives the best curly hair cut in nyc and for half the price of other salons. She’s clearly super experienced at cutting all types of curly hair. She’s kind, attentive, and someone you can trust with any hairstyle.

Patty was very professional with a wealth of experience. As I showed a picture of my desired haircut, she was a few steps ahead of me regarding the details. Highly recommend! The overall experience at the salon was also very nice and respectful.

I hate my haircut. I kept telling the stylist to cut more layers (I have curly hair) and she kept shutting me down. I've lived with this hair for 40+ years, so I think I know what I'm talking about. I should have been more insistent, but she kept pushing back, and I relented. Now, I look ridiculous with my curly hair mushrooming outwards. And Now I have to cut my own hair.

I had a great experience with Melanie as my stylist. She cut and styled my hair exactly as I envisioned, and I was in and out in less than an hour. I also love their "happy hour" rates! I'll be back.

Thank you so much to the staff here! I had a perfect experience - everyone is so sweet and easy to talk to. I went in for a haircut, but forgot that was what I was even there for. The people are lovely. Kevyn was such a light and really made my day. He’s wonderful, great energy. I’ll be coming back for each haircut! I felt beautiful after inside and out and had so much fun.

Alexandra was so great, communicative about everything she was doing, checked in with me multiple times about style and length, and I got a great bob cut! One of my fave cuts I’ve ever had. I’ve had great experiences at both locations of this salon!

Ash is the best for hair color! Every time, no matter what I ask for, he nails it. In addition, once I accidentally got the time wrong for my color appointment before my wedding, and the staff was super accommodating. Thank you all!

Horrible service. I called to schedule my wife an appointment, the lady who answered was rude to start and then put me on hold for 5 minutes then the phone just hung up. Why bother when there’s so many other places to get your hair done in the city. Avoid at all costs!

I get blowouts practically all the time. I never have an issue. When making the appointment, I told them about my time constraint and they said the blowout would take 45 mins. My stylist rushed in 15 mins late and started rushing to do my hair. Even started washing my hair with the freezing cold water. I showed him the same picture I have shown many people and he did exactly the opposite and gave me super tight curls that made my hair look way too short. I showed him the picture again at the end and asked for him to loosen them. Ended up with a mixture of curls that don’t look good and left with twice the time having gone by than I was told. Don’t recommend and won’t be going back. Picture is what it looks like directly after getting home. Terrible

I just saw Melanie for a half highlight and tone and my hair has never looked better. I'm getting married in 2 weeks and couldn't be happier with how it looks! We chatted about what I envisioned leading up to the appointment and she absolutely nailed it. I am so happy I found her and I can't wait to go back!

I’ve been going to Shampoo for over 10 years and have had the best experiences. The stylists are so experienced and kind. I go every 5-6 weeks for roots, so it’s important that I like spending time there! The stylists really listen. 5 stars!

Got a curly cut by Erik Protasiewicz and I’m super happy with the result!! Looks great and it’s exactly what I asked for :) He even took the extra time needed to deal with my hair, asked important questions about my hair, gave me some tips and was just generally super nice. The reception was also very friendly. 100% recommend!

Highly highly recommend Lissette! She’s been my hair dresser for the past 2 years and I cannot say enough good things. She’s super patient and takes her time to make sure everything is perfect before sending you off. I got my highlights done over a year ago and they still look perfect because of her technique. She also know how’s to handle and blow out curly hair which is tough to find.
