After living in Okinawa, Japan for two years and going to Onsen every week this was the closest to it we found. I just wish there is one closer to where we live :) Great “small” (compared to the one in Japan) place that has cold plunge that is best to have when you get hot from all the pools and spas. Very relaxing, food was very good. Vegan options. Best Onsen around! Highly recommend!

The spa is outdated but if you’re in for a scrub it is what it is…. They do take the tip out immediately when you pay your bill so you don’t need to tip. The one disturbing thing I found is that I ordered food to go and I found hair my food I called and complained I couldn’t eat it and I threw it out. I asked for a refund they told me management would call me back. They never did. I called three times. They kept denying and asked me if I enjoyed my body scrub so therefore they don’t care that there’s hair in your food

It's a true Korean sauna experience!! They have steam sauna Salt Sauna Clay Sauna! Hot soaker baths cold dunk bath, mini pool. Massage with mud scrub unbelievable experience!! Nothing comes close!! Ms Kim was magical!!! The Korean food is authentic!!! Delicious and nutritious!! Start eating fresh and maybe just maybe you might lose some of the fat that's been in ya for too long!! Stop eating fast crap food!!! The place isn't fancy, and the prices are a great value!! If you want fancy pants design go pay triple!!! Seriously great value for amazing service!!! All day pampering for $32 . Unbelievable value!!

For my mom’s birthday, we decided to save some money and opted for this Korean sauna instead of going to Hard Rock—and honestly, I have zero regrets! Yes, you do have to be fully naked in certain areas, but the initial awkwardness fades after about 15 minutes, and then you can truly start enjoying everything the place has to offer. The experience was amazing! Everything was super clean, and I could even smell the bleach, which reassured me that the facilities were properly sanitized. And let me tell you, the restaurant in the common area is incredible! The food was amazing, and they even had soju, which can sometimes be hard to find. We loved it so much that we’re already planning to come back more often with the whole family. Highly recommend it!

I can only rate the Men’s side only as both times I’ve been I went by myself. I went there on a rainy Sunday around 1030am so it may be different at another time. This was my second time going. The sauna was a great temperature, the hot tub and cold plunge was too. When I went the food area wasn’t staffed but overall the entire establishment was nice and clean. The only thing they really should address is the flooding in the parking lot I chose to take my shoes off instead of flooding my shoes when I was leaving. Otherwise if you are considering going plan to spend a couple hours maybe more and enjoy the sauna.

I would advise anybody with family not to go to the Spa. I was there yesterday during the holiday and I was in male section and I never felt so uncomfortable and disgusted in my entire life. The stuff that goes on in that steam room should be illegal. I’ve reported them to the Hillsborough County sheriffs office. They literally had five people working and they allow that stuff to go on there and they’re calling themselves a family Spa I’ve reported them. I hope something‘s gonna happen. I spoke to the detective this morning. He followed up with me and said they have been getting a lot of complaints. I just hope they shut this place down. This is disgusting. It’s horrible. It’s honestly gross.

Everyone was friendly. The food was alright, but the chef didn't look too happy. The first time I ever experience a Korean bath house. Very relaxing and quiet. It was kinda awkward for me, but I feel very relax and stress free after leaving this place. There should be more of these bathhouses. Love it. Update: After a few times I came here, the awkwardness goes away and the food still tasted alright. But I really do miss coming here after they were closed for Covid! It’s so relaxing especially their steam room! Although, not many people are comfortable about it, but once you experience a few times like I did, it’s amazing. It’s a very different and everyone should experience it and support it. Update: 01/06/2025 This is a Korean bath house! It look very rundown from the outside, but it’s such an amazing experience. For $33.00, you can spend the entire day at the bath house enjoying steam room, hot/cold bath, salt/clay sauna, and they offer delicious Korean food. There’s also packages for body scrub/wash and massage. They give you PJ to wear after your bath and towels. It’s such a relaxing experience. We travel often to Korean bathhouses. Atlanta, D.C., Chicago, Vegas we’ve done them all! However, this was the best body scrub and massage I’ve ever had!! That southern hospitality hits different. You have to go! The food is great, amenities are awesome can’t recommend enough! 🫶🏽

I read the reviews before coming, so I knew exactly what to expect. I got a day pass so I could use the hot tub, cold plunge, and steam room. I just finished dinner. I really enjoyed my meal. I'm relaxing in the common area as I write this. I'm about to try the clay and salt sauna before I go back to do another round in the hot tub, cold plunge, and steam room.

I use to go there, price was reasonable. The workers were very welcoming. They appreciated every costumer. I felt welcomed and taken cared off. NOW! It’s very business oriented, all I felt as they tried have as much money from me as they could. The guy at front desk was rude, whenever I had a question he would interrupt me. The price now doesn’t exceed the expectations. The service not personal anymore, but inattentive. I use to give $20 cash tips to the lady who was providing service to me. But NOW, because of the automatic tipping fee (15%) and because of the rushed service, even they didn’t have a customer after me, it felt inappropriate to tip more. Not only did they cut the service time, raised the prices, but also add the tipping fee. Before when you book the service they would dismiss the entrance fee ($25), NOW they charge you the entrance fee on top of service and automatic tips. So, I wasn’t ready pay this much and receive this kind of service. The saddest thing is, the girls who providing the services, you can see it in their eyes, that they are not satisfied with the service that they are providing do the cut times. This is definitely a management problem, not the workers.

Lifechanging! I came here after a friend very strongly recommended it and it did not disappoint. All the staff were very polite and friendly. The front desk lady even gave my girlfriend and I a hug! The facility, while dated, was clean and offered a true bath house experience. The Korean scrub + oil and facial is a MUST DO - it’s like a scrub and massage wrapped up in one. I saw someone complaining about the 17% mandatory gratuity, but let me tell you… those ladies are exceptional and are worth every penny. I have gone to fancy spas and spent more than what I spent here, but I would choose this place over those spas unless I just wanted to feel fancy. This is a place you can go and spend the day relaxing in the saunas, steam room, hot tub, cold plunge, get a scrub and eat a great meal. (The food is so good!!) I will definitely be back and will bring friends. The wet bath area is nude (separated by gender) - I realize this is off putting for some, but you quickly get over it. If you’re on the fence, just go! You will be glad you did. Oh, and the outside is a little sketchy, so just know that you’ll be well taken care of once you go in.

Outdated and old bath house, employees are nice owner not so much. She scalded me for taking more then 2 little candies by the register as I was paying, FREE CANDY, and when I told her to treat her customers with more respect she went to take the candy away, which I wasn’t taking, and threatened to call the police for assault. I told her please do call the police as she pointed to the camera, mind you I have not raised my voice to touched anyone. She tried to throw me out before I can pay, no joke. I told her once I paid, told her to not be so cheap it will cost you more in the long run, she called me Cheap. Much better options out there, my mistake for being CHEAP.

Absolutely an amazing experience! In today’s world with aesthetics and decoration being the focus of a visit, Shangri-La has the charm of accomplishing a level of relaxation that can’t be expressed in a social media post (almost literally as there’s no phones allowed). It reminded me of visiting and being cared for by a home full of grandmas. I would recommend a first visit with a close friend as I did with the bath area being nude. We had our hesitations at first but once we committed to the experience we found the environment provided a free space of insecurities and allowed us to really relax in a way we haven’t at other spas. We both did the Gold body scrub (we added the all day fee to it because we wanted to stay the rest of the day) which blew our minds. It included a body scrub which takes off all your dead skin cells (holy amazing), hydrating oil, and milk rinse. The cherry on top was the cucumber face mask that peels off after it sets. In the middle of your face mask setting they finish you up with a thorough shampoo and conditioner wash with your hair wrapped in the towel in the end to continue your spa in the community area. With my job being physically demanding on my back and shoulders and my bestie who is in a vigorous medical program right now this was the perfect gift for us to both relax and unwind, oh and also catch up with our lives! A very wholesome experience. Enjoy!

I’m reading these comments, and I’m genuinely confused….how are people finding this place clean and amazing? Do y’all seriously enjoy relaxing in a dump? That’s wild to me! The soap bar had hair on it, the menu and kitchen looks completely outdated plus I didn’t get to eat anything because nobody was around for service and the hot tub in the women’s section didn’t even work. The pictures are so misleading, y’all! I don’t know if I just came at a bad time or if this is the norm, but I was so disappointed especially since there’s no other bathhouse in Tampa.

Cool hidden gem for a no frills low key day. It’s super dated, but everything felt clean. I wish you received sandals or could bring in house shoes. But bring socks I guess? We only stayed for an hour and just did a little bit of everything. But other people there said they loved the scrubs and hanging out with a book all day relaxing and eating at the cafe. Honestly it looks sketchy af and I was relieved that a woman walked out when we arrived otherwise idk if I was convinced it wasn’t something else lol. as long as you know you’re not going for a boujee moment, it’s a vibe and a good deal. I do wish you could leave and come back tho on the day pass since they’re open so late. I would have done an hour and then come back later to try the cafe(it didn’t open til 1ish when we had to leave) and I’d spend more time. But I get it. Everyone working was super friendly.
