My girls and I loved Sharkey’s in Addison. Even my 3 year old wanted to get her first haircut because it was such a fun atmosphere 💗 We will be going back next time!

The staff at Sharkeys is fantastic! My daughter had a relaxing hair cut, and she looked so comfortable throughout the process. They made this a good experience for her. She even got a complimentary nail polish. I’ll definitely be visiting again!

This was such a fun haircut experience for my kiddos! My girls were in heaven with a blowout completed with braids, butterfly clips, and colorful nails. And my son had a blast watching Mickey Mouse in a fire truck and walking away with a balloon, ice cream, and tattoos!

Update: We've been coming here for 6 plus months now, and we're so happy with the service and stylists. My boys have been with 3 different stylists and all were great. Jennifer, Emile and Destiny. They always make sure we have a good experience. Try the Dad & Son package on a Saturday they can do all at the same time and you're in and out in 30 mins! Took the boys and ended up getting a Dad haircut myself too after seeing the quality of the boy’s cuts. Great place with really easygoing and friendly staff. I have to also point out as I specifically noticed how clean they keep all equipment and tools!! Very impressive.

Took my 5 y.o. son here, first visit. He loved it, zero problems. Eager to return. Normally we’d need a tablet to distract him but we can leave it at home now.

Ihad such a wonderful experience at Sharkey’s Addison! The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. They were patient, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The salon is beautifully decorated, clean, and inviting, creating such a fun and relaxing atmosphere. My little one absolutely loved her new hairstyle and the extra touches like the crown and nails made her feel so special. Thank you for making this such a memorable visit—we’ll definitely be back!

Such a cute spot for the kids. We took both of our girls for a wash cut and they even provide a free manicure! The service is amazing the stylists are super sweet and attentive to the little clients. Loved meeting the owner and her staff. The set up has you covered for both boys and girls. For the boys they have XBox ready to go with the best games. For the little ones they have fun fire truck chairs and for the girls a full glam area. 5 out of 5

This is my first time at Sharkey's and I am never coming back! If you are thinking about coming here, please don't and go somewhere else. Emile, my son's hairdresser, not only use a razor on his hair but she also razored my son's eyebrows. We didn't notice it until we left but he looks like he's missing one eyebrow now! It was bad enough my son's haircut didn't look anything like the picture I showed her and she didn't shampoo or blowdry his hair like it was stated in the appointment I booked, but to razor my son's eyebrow when it was supposed to be just a haircut is just wrong and unprofessional. Does she even have a hair license? Just look at the pictures. I want my tip money back. She doesn't deserve it for messing up my baby's eyebrow. 😫

This place is simply amazing! I took my daughter in for her first haircut and the whole experience was phenomenal. This salon was entertaining for kids with their cool chairs, TVs, video games, and colorful themes. The hairdresser was very patient and did a great job. We would certainly be back for her next haircut!

UPDATE: After my initial review, I spoke to Lindsay. She was very kind and asked me to come back. A month later, I decided to give it another shot. I was paired with Jennifer who was great and thorough with my child's cut. Lindsay is genuinely the nicest human, so please give her business a chance! Owner was very nice. However would not go again! I tried to call to say we were running late, their phone didn’t work. I got my baby a haircut and was charged the full $32 even though he was unable to get a wash or blow dry. Even when inquiring about the price said it was the only option. Emile did a great haircut but was very impersonal and seemed bothered that she was having to cut my child’s hair. I was left to leave the hair off my own child as she literally finished and walked off immediately.

*Edited to 5 stars because the owner did contact me and, although I was hesitant to take them up on it, they let my son come back to fix his cut… I gave 2 stars cause the hairdresser was nice. Also, I went there with my daughter and had another lady cut her hair when they first opened and that was a much better experience.

Great place to get your kids haircut. I’m a mom of a 4 yo autistic son and was worried about his first cut. The staff was amazing with him and myself. She was able to keep him happy for the whole experience while giving him a great first cut. The atmosphere is very fun with cool cars to sit in, video games and tv. The staff is excellent and provided superior service. I also had my hair cut (39 yo). She did a great job on my hair as well. I highly recommend if you are concerned about your neurodivergent/autistic child getting thier haircut you check Sharkey’s out. 10/10

My kiddos LOVED Sharkey’s! He usually wants me to sit with him but this was the first time he sat alone. He loved the police car while watching tv. The stylish was nice and friendly. Overall and great experience ✂️

Staff are lovely. The owner is amazing. The chairs for kids are great. Had a minor issue and this was addressed immediately and with care by the owner. A great sign for a small business and really appreciated. Please support them!!

Every time we have been here we have moved the service so much. On our last visit our 3 year old received his first big boy hair cut and cut all of his long baby hair off! It was such a great experience and the cutest haircut I’ve ever seen! Cannot wait to go back

Good for haircuts. The products they use are awful so I will opt out of washes and gel. The place is cute and the kids get a balloon and tattoo. Will come again. Paid $40 for haircut with tip.

I have to update my review - I was not happy with a rushed cut but right away the owner Lindsay reached out and was incredible!! She went above and beyond to spoil my kids today as the manager Emile fixed my son’s hair. So happy with the service and so impressed with a personally invited business owner who wants to make it right. We’ll be back!

I took my daughter for her first haircut and it felt so awkward the lady never talk to my daughter or say anything she seem rush to finish it only took her like 5 minutes she offer shampoo but the say my daughter was too little nothing special for a first haircut she never talk to my daughter and seem rush even tough we were the first appointment picture they took was really bad and I did not like it…. I won’t be back after 43$ this was not a good experience. It was meh

I took my two year old to Sharkey’s for her FIRST haircut and we had blast! The staff was so friendly and had a lot of experience (and patience!) navigating my tornado toddler. She got the perfect trim, was offered a bow (but politely declined), a mini braid, glitter, nails painted and a matching ring to match her nails! FIRST time getting nails done too! Overall, perfect place for this special milestone, we will be back soon!

What a great place! My kids are having a mini spa day and everyone working here is professional and kind and sweet. Great service and really a fun time. The haircuts were not scary and they came out beautiful!

This place is so wonderful! I took my 4 year old daughter and 6 year old son for shampoo, cuts, and nails for my girl. They each got a balloon, lollipop and temporary tattoo. Safe to say we will be coming back again!
