Came here from a word of mouth of others and Adela was an amazing stylist to my girlfriend. I gifted a balayage service for her and she delivered 100%. She is so happy and said Adela took the time and even moved her following clients down to dedicate her time to her. My girlfriend’s blowout lasted for a week and seeing her happy makes me happy, amazing customer service and attention to detail. She’s already raving to her friends and already says she’ll be coming back for a blowout from her soon.

I have been getting my hair done exclusively by Adela for over a year now, and she is the best! She is super friendly and very attentive to my hair needs, and also just has the best energy. I get a haircut, Balayage and gloss and she is the only person I trust to touch my hair in NYC. It's always a great experience from start to finish :) She is officially our house stylist, as my two roommates have started going to her and she is now the only stylist they will see. She's great with all types of hair lengths, styles, and textures and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Elsa at Shear Bliss! I had been going to the same stylist in LA for ten years, and even after moving to Vermont, I was still flying back for appointments because I was so particular about my hair. But that became a lot to manage, so I spent months searching for someone on the East Coast who I felt I could trust. I scoured Instagram, Yelp, Google, and even Reddit before finding Elsa—and let me tell you, she was beyond worth the search. From the start, the receptionist (I wish I remembered her name) was SO kind. She immediately greeted me, took my coat, and got me a water. She continued to offer me drinks throughout my time there and was just so thoughtful! Elsa made sure she fully understood what I wanted. She looked at the pics I brought (from her instagram), listened to what I wanted, ensured she fully understood, and did a beautiful job! In fact, my hair looks even better than it did with my previous stylist in LA (who I still adore). Elsa is incredibly talented, detail-oriented, and truly cares about her clients’ happiness. On top of that, she and her assistant, Franchesca, were both an absolute joy to be around for the five hours I was there. Franchesca was so gentle removing my foils and washing my hair. Both Elsa and Franchesca blow dried my hair and i loved it! The entire experience was so seamless and enjoyable - I was honestly so anxious about trying somewhere new but it was the best decision! If you’re as picky as I am when it comes to your hair, do yourself a favor and book with Elsa. She’s an absolute gem, and I’m beyond thrilled to have found her. I’ve gone to Oksana several times for a Brazilian blow out. I always get a great and lasting result. She is courteous and professional but also kind and fun to chat with. The salon is very clean and everyone is really professional and always smile and are helpful. I would rate Oksana and Shear Bliss higher if I could. I highly recommend.

David is a true artist when it comes to hair color. He is so talented and passionate about what he does and it shows in his work. Not only did he give me an amazing haircut that made my hair look a lot healthier, but he gave me a warmer hair color that I have been receiving so many compliments on. He also always educates me on how to take care of my hair since he first met me with brittle blonde strands from different hair colorists over the years who did not seem to care about my hair. I am so grateful that I found David!

Michelle did a great job. See the before and after (screenshots of vids). She stayed 1.5 hrs late to make sure it turned out nice. Very sweet person and u can tell she is very knowledgeable. Full head of balayage came out to $366

Waste of money and time. The worst haircut and color of my life. Don't believe a place that asked customers to give them good reviews even when they did a bad job. The photos are edited and carefully chosen. I was there and three girls left crying not just me. Scam

Wow these guys and girls not only destroyed my hair after paying $900 I witnessed them made a women's hair fall out from bleach? All I can say is be careful and sort reviews from lowest to get honest opinions. The hair is actually too embarrassing to post. That is how bad it was. Not nice people either.

I spent a few days in Manhattan and went to get my hair cut and dried… ended up getting a single process as well! Maria was my stylist, and she was incredibly sweet and patient during the consultation, taking the time to explain which color would work best for me. She was definitely knowledgeable, and despite the salon being very busy, it was clean and had a great ambiance. I’ll definitely be back to see Maria next time I’m in town!
