Being new to the area and a first time customer, I made a haircut appointment online and received a text and email confirming my appointment. Showed up at my appointment time to find the place completely closed on a Saturday. Didn’t receive any notice of them being closed. Guess I’ll be going elsewhere.

Strike 2! I came here last year and the stylist was running late. After 15 minutes of waiting, I was told stylist had to take an Uber from Ocean View. Waited another 15 and left. Why was I not notified before I came in??! I decided to give them another chance, but after I sat in the chair, she told me their credit card machine was down and I could pay by cash app, venmo, or cash. I do not use any of those apps and had no cash. I left. She knew the night before it was going to be down. AGAIN, why was I not notified before I came in??! I told her it would've been nice to know ahead of time and she said nothing. She asked if I'd like to reschedule. No!!

This was my first time at this salon and Michael was fantastic! I told him I wanted a toned down blonde and he nailed it! The color is wonderful and looks so natural, I absolutely love it and have received many compliments! I highly recommend coming here and letting Michael work his magic 💗

10/10 I absolutely recommend Michael!!! He happened to get me in last minute due to a cancellation. This was my first hair appointment in 6 months due to a busy school schedule and my previous hairdresser moved out of state. I am so pleased with my entire experience and plan to continue seeing Michael for my hair needs! I told him that I wanted cool blonde hair that was bright and beautiful. He delivered exactly that 🙌🏼✨ Michael and Courtney were very friendly, kind, and welcoming. They offered a professional environment with great conversation as well. I love this place, I’ve never had a bad haircut or experience here. Holly always does exactly what I ask for whether that’s a 10 min haircut or something more involved like highlights. They have definitely earned me as a customer. :)

I took my 12 year old daughter to get her hair cut. She has a pixie cut. Nicole showed her how to style her hair and what products to use. We will be goi g back to Nicole next time my daughter needs a trim

My wife and mother in law had appointments and when they got there, my wife asked if they could sit near each other because of my mother in law's dementia. Holly the Owner was so rude, she mumbled and made a face that she was annoyed. Nice way to treat your clients! Holly should not be working with people, her attitude is disgusting and she's a miserable person! DON'T GO THERE!!!

Booked an appointment online over a week ago and drove around 30mins to be there well before time; saw the good reviews online hence took all this effort but i was utterly disappointed on reaching there. I was just greeted at the door, and told to be right with you, waited for 15mins and had to ask the lady to look up my appointment as she seemed to ignore me completely! On looking at the system she told me that my appointment isn’t showing up so she cannot take me today. There were others at the salon with online appt but only mine didnt show up! Salon lady seemed non-accomodating to me and i definitely felt unwelcomed; hence i left. Will never be going back for sure.

I came here for an eyebrow/lip wax. I realize this is a hair salon, but their website advertises waxing services. I was only 1 of 2 customers there and just needed a quick wax while I had a moment away from my kids. The wax heater wasn’t on, so I waited about 30 minutes for it to warm up. Totally fine, that was my decision. The young lady did not seem to know what she was doing though. I have had my eyebrows waxed a million times in my life at all different places and they always do it the same way— top, bottom, middle. She only did the bottom and seemed to think she was finished. I asked her to do the rest. When it was time for lip, the young lady informed me they are not doing lips because of covid. She had me sit there waiting for the wax to warm up for 30 minutes instead of informing me at the beginning she would not be able to provide the full service I came in for. Moms have such little free time as it is. This was a huge waste of mine and now I have to find time to go to another place to finish what she didn’t.

I was able to book my appointment online with no fuss and was seen very quickly. I hadn't been to a salon in years but Mikayla took great care of me. I have really thick, curly hair and she was knowledgeable about how to cut it and how to shape it. It was a simple cut at my request, but she really brought new life to my weighted down curls. If you're like me and want something quick, stylish, and efficient without fluff or fuss, I highly recommend Shear Bliss. Mikayla is super sweet!

I LOVE my hairstylist Nicole! She takes her time, and she is very meticulous. I have thick hair and lots of it, so it's always been a struggle to tame it. Since having Nicole take care of my hair, trying to style it is a breeze! So awesome when I'm on the run in the morning!! Thank you & I will be back!

I went in wanting to have my hair dyed blue. I have VERY dark brown hair and it is pretty long too. It was a last minute appointment but they were still willing to work with me. I went in and loved the atmosphere. It was so clean and everyone was very nice. Makaela sat me down and we talked about what I wanted and she went to look at her supplies and that's when we discovered the sad news...there wasn't enough blue for all of my hair even after the trim we did (about 5"). However, she came to me and explained the situation and asked if I wanted to continue or if I wanted to reschedule. She laid out multiple options and style choices for me that we could do and we decided to go ahead and add purple and blue. Y'all....I am BLOWN AWAY with the results. I've had problems with color my whole life and I was afraid it wouldn't turn out well...but it looks amazing! I've received SO many compliments it is crazy. The color is so vibrant and my hair feels great. Even after washing it at home the color has held great and it still looks magnificent. She stayed late to do my whole head y'all and didn't complain once. She made me feel at home. She didn't force conversation but made it clear it was available if I wanted it. Everything about this experience was amazing...they even helped us jump off our car after my husband killed the battery from sitting in the car for so long (his choice). Great facility with a great staff and a friendly atmosphere that makes you want to come back. If I could give more stars I would.

Went in with strawberry blonde hair and asked for a more vibrant copper/ariel color. I ended up leaving with dark plum brunette hair...I went in the next day to see if there was anyway to fix it and she basically said no it is what it is, the best she could do was add highlights. Very disappointed I wasn't given any help to fix my hair....nice color but definitely not what I asked for.

Christine does a fabulous job cutting short, straight hair. It's hard to find someone who can "blend" so the cut doesn't look choppy.

Edited to add looks like the owner Holly blocked me too after this review! HORRIBLE customer service. My wife went here last week and saw Shauna for highlights to make her hair lighter and I thought she changed her mind and decided to go darker when I saw the hair she came home with. Christina has gotten her hair done a lot over the years and I have never seen her be so upset with it. She was completely blonde before going in and now it’s a dark grey color all over that she can’t fix. She messaged Shauna and the owner and was blocked on Instagram and Facebook after politely asking for a fix or a refund. After posting her story the salon owner Holly called her from a blocked number and she put it on speaker and Holly told her to take the post down she will be pressing charges against her for the post. And she said she “was going to refund her but now she would rather put that money toward her lawyer” and hung up. The unwillingness from the stylist and the owner of the salon to fix it or refund us is shocking.

I had a wonderful experience and cut from Nicole. She takes your interests at heart and takes her time with your hair unlike other salons which try to rush you through. She does an amazing job. She was able to give me layers without the scissor cut look and framed my face nicely. Everything came out evenly too! I will be requesting her again.

I have gotten my hair done by Nicole and Holly and I absolutely love my hair! They always take into account not to damage the hair and how to make your hair look the best. I have my second appointment next weekend and I have found my new go to hair salon!

Shauna Bandy is perfect for color blocking and long styled haircuts! I came in with 25+ inch hair, very dark with faded tints of burgundy. I asked her a few questions and she responded very quickly - booking me the next day! I got everything I wanted from the EXACT color I wanted... not a mix of colors to make the color. She cut my hair before product use so it was easier to lighten and used less product meaning not as expensive. (Smart thinking) She is not only 6 months pregnant but a hard worker. It is awesome how much detail she will ensure you have and you get exactly what you pay for. I recommend 100/10. Congrats chicka! Holly is also very kind and loving owner to the customers as well as her staff! Sometimes people who are SUPER blonde don’t realize how much TIME AND, lemme say this very loud, MONEY to get it done properly to the right level of blonde or even to keep it up. Then they get angry at the stylist when all they did was what you asked for. Don’t be that person. Rise above the hateful reviews when it isn’t true or you have never set foot into the salon.

Since this salon is getting so much negativity from people who only know one side of the story, here's my review. I've had one experience with them in the past and it was probably one of the best I've had with a salon in the area. I had a Yelp coupon and I'm not sure who my stylist was, but the results came out so well. And to add on, I had the same bad experience at another salon (I won't mention the name because I don't take pleasure in destroying the reputation of a business) and I had paid $200 per session, twice. I didn't make a big deal about it and shame the business because I know that one mistake doesn't mean the stylist is bad at their job.

So today was the first time I’ve gone to Shear Bliss. The atmosphere of the salon was Amazing. The environment clean and calming. Shauna Brandy was my stylist. She gave me exactly what I asked for, with extraordinary service. I was looking for a new stylist and now I’ve found one. I will be recommending shear Bliss and Shauna to my friends.
