Absolutely loved my experience here! My grandma has been getting her hair done here for decades and I needed a haircut desperately, so I came too! They fit me in the same day. Carol, the owner is so sweet and great at doing hair. She helped me figure out what cut and length would be good and made sure I agreed ☺️ I also got my eyebrows waxed… literally the best eyebrow waxing experience I’ve had in 20 years since I started getting waxed. I don’t do it often but It wasn’t painful at all, she was thorough and not in a rush. Definitely my new regular salon. Thanks!

I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years of Rebecca and have been very happy with the consistently professional treatments and styles. I always feel very satisfied and more attractive when I leave. The shop is modern and clean with a fantastic view of Cowles Mt. It is a positive experience in the shop witnessing the friendly atmosphere amongst long-term customers and stylists. Highly recommended!

I normally do not write reviews. My experience was so terrible that it prompted me to write this. I've been growing my hair for a year. I came in looking for a cleanup trim and layering. I showed the hair stylist, who I will not name for this review, VIDEOS of how I wanted the cut. I even explained where I wanted it trimmed and that I wanted to layer my hair. She supposedly had 55 years of experience, so I thought I was in good hands. The video I showed her clearly showed the subject with long hair, at least 7 inches. My hair was chin/neck length, roughly 9 at the longest. For the most part, that was the length I wanted. I wanted the front strands at around eye/ear length at the shortest, and have it layered so that it would flow nicely. The lady proceeded to cut about 7 inches of hair on the first cut. Not even eyebrow length. I hopefully thought that she knew what she was doing and that the cut would turn out great. It progressively got worse. At one point through the cut, she asked how I liked it so far, to which I responded that it was way shorter than I wanted/asked. She insisted that it was what I asked for. I pulled out my phone again to show the video of the haircut I wanted, and it was obviously far from what I had asked. Her response is that "your hair will grow back." It took every ounce of restraint to stay polite and composed, but I was furious. Even at the end, the cut was ridiculously uneven. My left side had hair length to the bottom of my ears. The right side was around midway down my ears. There was at least a 1 - 1.5 inch difference. She couldn't even cut my sideburns evenly. At that point, I just wanted to get out. I wasted $40, as to not cause trouble in the salon, and left. I had to go to Supercuts of all places to get it fixed. So in the end, I wanted a slight trim and layering. What ended up happening is now I have a skin fade because of how terrible the Shear Brilliance did with my hair. It felt like a waste of time to grow the hair, and a waste of time and money to get the haircut. I could have instructed a toddler to do a better job. I could have cut my own hair blindfolded, and gotten closer to what I wanted. Beware of this place. The reviews do not represent the quality of the service.

I’ve been coming here for years and couldn’t be happier with my hair. The treatments that Carol has recommended, coupled with her precision cuts, salvaged my hair during cancer and restored it to the volume I had as a teenager. I’ll never go anywhere else.

I’ve been needing a haircut for sometime but haven’t found the right place. I came to Shear Brilliance and Becky gave me a wonderful haircut. She was so friendly and easygoing, she made me feel at ease and she did an amazing job. I’m so happy with my new look and I have gotten several compliments at work. I’m so glad I found this place, it’s close to my house and very clean and trendy.

The salon owner Carol has been styling my hair for over 30 years and I’ve never been tempted to try anyone else. She’s the best! I also see Becky for lashes am so happy with the results. The salon is clean and bright and there’s always a positive atmosphere. I give Shear Brilliance 5 hearts ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have been coming to Shear Brilliance Salon for 25 years and have always had Ruthie as my Hairdresser and now good friend. She is amazing. I first came to her after my previous hairdresser botched my color and it came out light pink. I was horrified. My sister told me Ruthie was a color specialist and I should go and see her. Well I did and thank God. She was and still is absolutely amazing as a color specialist and stylist. I will never go to anyone else. And as an added plus She has the greatest personality. She makes me laugh and brightens my day if if I'm feeling sad. I don't know what I'd do without her. ❤

I’ve been going to Shear Brilliance for a few years now and they are nothing but wonderful! Carol (the salon owner) is my stylist and she is not only a fabulous stylist but a great person! During the pandemic she scheduled me early so I could get in without too much exposure to others due to a medical condition. All the stylists are friendly and the salon is always clean and well maintained. They’ve recently added a small boutique which makes it nice if you have to wait. That said, I’ve never waited more than a few minutes. Highly recommend!

This truly is the best salon around. I've been going to Ruthy since the late '80's and she has been with Carol since she opened. The most relaxed ambiance and just simply beautiful at the new location. All the ladies here are brilliant at what they do. And if you need any type of services, they are ready with recommendations and referrals too! Love these ladies like Family!

Took my mom to have Carol do a cut/color. She absolutely LOVED it - Carol is a true pro, and the new shop is amazingly done. the staff are all very sweet and kind. The prices are more than fair. Ruth is the best! She cut and highlighted my hair and cut both of my boys hair and we have all been super happy with the results. We were able to get appts easily and she got us in and out quickly. Plus, the salon is really close which is an added bonus!
