First time here. $50 for a 30 minutes men's haircut, didn't have enough time to finish, she did what she could. I don't mind not getting any of the other services like shampoo or hot towel due to time but, I was expecting to get my haircut at least done. I understand though. It's a short time. I'd rather go somewhere els that focuses on my hair only for a quality cut rather than rushing to fit comfort and enjoyment to the mix even in a 45 minutes session. The website got my hopes up too much I guess.

UPDATE3: I want to thank Blair for providing a reservice but I will not be coming back to this location even with another free reservice. The overall ambience make it appear you’re getting a premium haircut experience. However, the actual skill level is not on par for the price you pay. The quality of haircut you receive for what you pay for is no different than Great Clips quality of work. Their customer service though has been outstanding when they reached out to me after my initial complaint. Unfortunately exceptional customer service does not justify their pricing and quality of work and I will not be returning. UPDATE: My hair cut was worse than I thought and can confirm do not book this place. I couldn’t really see it because the stylist held the mirror and I didn’t have my glasses on. Photos of before the cut, how I wanted my hair to look like, and what I got (marked the error in red). Old post: Took me a while to debate whether I wanted to give a rating as I usually don’t care but this time I really don’t like the haircut I got. Did not get the haircut I wanted despite showing my stylist Deja a photo. I asked to get my sides and back cut shorter and tapered as my girlfriend liked the length I had and showed her several photos of how I wanted it to look like. She didn’t seem to understand what I was going for and just shaved off my side and back. I ended up having to getting a military cut. Will try to see if I can give them a second chance but for the price I’m paying it doesn’t seem justified. Will see when my hair grows back but I really didn’t appreciate how she answered when I said I wanted my back tapered and she gave me a totally different answer on what a taper is. So I looked it up and realized I was right and she was wrong and I was disappointed she didn’t show more accountability.

While the entire team is fantastic, Jade and Sarah are my go-to stylists. I truly appreciate their personalized approach, not just with me, but also in how they engage with other customers. They take the time to get to know you as an individual, making each visit a worthwhile experience. I will continue coming here as long as I'm in Charlotte!

I was a walk-in client recently, and they were able to fit me in the same day. It was my first time here, and the staff was fantastic. Hope fixed a previously botched haircut, and the result was awesome. She was fun yet meticulous, ensuring everything looked perfect before I left. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back the next time I visit Charlotte. Thanks Hope!

My son has been going to this salon for a few years. I intentionally made an appointment with his favorite stylist 3 weeks before we were leaving town for a wedding. When I made the appointment, I was the first one to schedule (the stylist had every slot available). Working around his football and school schedule we were confirmed for 4:30. The morning of said appt I received a text saying that his appointment was now 4:45. When I called to complain (because he would be late to football) and voicing the importance of this appointment with flying the next morning for the wedding, they made no attempt to help. They refused to help and the only alternative they gave was a 2:45 with a different stylist (he's still in school at 2:45). Even though I was the first to secure an appointment and the significance of the wedding, this salon bumped my son and made no attempts to help. They kept saying it was a scheduling error. When I asked to speak with the manager the receptionist, Haley, said she could give me her email. On the day of the appointment and with no alternative, this was her only offer. I'm so disappointed. Having been a long time customer and having used their system as it was meant to be used, they have left us scrambling to find an alternative the day before we fly. Find another salon, one that will treat you like a loyal customer deserves to be treated.

My son had an appt. Waited more than 20 min to get in the chair. Was suppose to have a straight razor neck blade beard cut. Didn’t get that either. I was trying to splurge on this for him. Failure.

Never realised something as simple as a haircut could be such a good experience until I came here. The staff were super friendly and did a great job making sure I had the best experience possible. Would highly recommend this place!

This was my first appt with Kat, but I have been patronizing this establishment for a couple years now. I hate getting water in my ears and several other quirks, and I was listened to about those things (she had cotton balls for me!), which makes me feel valued. She has great precision and is able to execute a great job quickly, which was a bonus! Thanks Kat!

Yvette is the best. Just do not want to get the word out too much as it may be more difficult to get a time scheduled with her. ;) She is kind and engaging. Oh yes, she also provides a fantastic haircut. Need to mention that as well.

when i tell you i was blessed? i mean it. recently received (on short notice) a quick haircut from jade, typical stuff i ask for her most of the time. the difference was.. she worked magic on my follicles and the haircut KEEPS getting better. 11/10 you need to go here

Drastically overpriced services for a very marginal haircut that you could get literally anywhere else for less. You’re just paying for the interior design and beverage. My stylist had just been hired from Great Clips and their professionalism was not befitting the price paid. Do yourself a favor and find an actual barber (who went to barber school) if you want a proper haircut, likely for a much more reasonable price.

If I could give this salon 0 stars I would. I booked an appointment for my husband a month in advance. I booked the highest package including a shave, head and neck massage, shampoo and haircut, which they informed me would take about an hour. I decided to book my son the same appointment so they could go together. The appointment took less than 15 minutes, none of the additional services were completed. They got a subpar haircut and quick shampoo as they were ushered out the door. Confused, I called asking to speak to a manager multiple times in order to clear up the situation and have yet to receive a call back. The manager does not care about the client or their business. Do not do business here. You’d be better off at Great Clips.

i didnt even get my haircut. i walked in a little late because i woke up a little late, my fault but i can only do so much working two jobs and such, but Yvette wanted to huff and puff and complain because i should've gotten a longer time frame and not have been late, so i left. if you hate your job so much you have to huff and puff over mild inconveniences then quit. i could've paid for the extra time haircut of it's that big of a deal. edit: after showing up and leaving they still charged me full price for "no call no showing"

I have been going to Shear Excellence South Park now for about 2 years since moving to Charlotte. I get my haircut and beard trimmed by Sarah. The experience is always phenomenal and the shampoo massages are the best. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are looking for a quality haircut and beard trim.
