The owner is nice enough, very comfortable setting. I wanted to love this place but I can’t. Went for a color, ginger left with a honey blonde. That was a $300 service to include style. Tried for plum the following month because I hated the color. Also requested crochet needling for my loc maintenance. That was a $400 service. She didn’t have the crochet tool so we did interlocking. She is extremely heavy handed to the point I had to show her my scalp literally bubbling from being twisted so tight. Also, edge control was used on all the locs with shea butter as well. The hair was hard and my scalp was irritated. Lastly, I had an allergic reaction to the dye so my head and face swelled up. I also had chemical burns on my scalp and ears. Unfortunately, cannot recommend for hair services. Couldn’t even find a license associated with this stylist. Please do your due diligence when selecting a professional. I recommend a referral from someone you trust!

I was going to Shears over Komb from the end of 2019 when I meet the salon owner handing out business cards until October 2020. I called a month or so later to make an appointment to have my natural hair styled; stylist Pebbles blow dried my hair and it was beautiful. When I came back for a natural style, Pebbles completely messed up my hair. I asked for no cutting or another style if my hair had to be cut. I was told the style I asked for could be done without cutting my hair. She cut my hair back to the length it was 2 years prior or shorter, the color was horrible with spots not colored, and she had no natural products for my hair. She told me to use mines at home after charging over $80 for messing my hair completely up when she knew I was not happy with her work. My hair looked dull with no product in it, she sent me out the shop with a look I could have done at home myself. At least I would have products to put on my own hair. I will not be returning or sending anyone else to this business as I can do an afro at home myself. On top of her completely messing up my hair; there was no offer from the shop owner Pebbles to spend her money or time to make things right. Not good customer service in my opinion at all!! The style I wanted and received are not the same at all.

I LOVE LOVE this salon!! Pebbles is the best!! Always willing to work with my budget! My available times due to work! She also find styles and cuts that fits my round fat face!! I go in and tell her hook me up and it's done!!! Can't say enough about this business!

My first encounter at salon was with Pebbles, not knowing I was speaking with the owner. She was actually leaving for the day when I stopped by and was kind enough to open back up and give a hair consultation. I immediately knew her to be knowledgable, a professional and passionate about her skills and clients. She could have agreed to do what I wanted which would have overall done tremendous damage to my hair, but instead she educated me and recommended the treatment path we would commit to for healthier hair and loss (I loss all my hair initially from chemo). My hair is healthier and growing thanks to my friend and hair guru, Ms. Pebbles!

Pebbles is absolutely amazing. She was able to look at my hair and tell me the shape it’s in. Asked me what I’m looking for and she gave her professional opinion of what she thought I should have as well. She gave me a complete makeover. Walked out with my hair looking and feeling healthy!! Only thing I’m mad at is myself for not finding her sooner. I finally found my beautician and I can’t wait to see what else she will do for my hair!! I’m set and happy that she is now my permanent professional stylist!!!

This establishment has offered me and all that I have referred the best salon experience we’ve every had. They offer a very welcoming and friendly environment to all. With talented hairdressers and other services to be offered. As well as very organized, neat, and clean area of work with the comfortability and reassurance of the customer is first. Shout out to pebbles she did an amazing job on my hair very patient always ask was I ok checked up on me while being serviced water etc most hair stylist I can say don’t do what she did. Love getting my hair done by Pebbles! She is excellent and always does a great job with trimming and styling. I am all natural and low maintenance but come in for trims, color, deep conditioning, or when I need my hair to look especially neat, sleek, and straight as a pencil. I let her pick my hair color- its soooo much better than what I wanted to go with! I get compliments all the time and always tell people "go to shears over komb and see pebbles"!

End results on my hair were good. The salon itself is a 5. I have long wanted a "black" salon that was professional and fair. My $130 color/deep condtion/blow/flat iron/trim experience is what has earned this salon 3 stars. I will not be returning to this salon.

The owner herself has such a beautiful soul and she truly cares about your hair and believes in having healthy hair. Not just to get a style and damage your hair. My Newfound Hair Home. I've passed by this salon dozens of times since my husband and I live in the area. Today I happened to be off and couldn't help but notice my hair needed a lot of love. Called to see if they take walk-ins. They do. Pebbles cut my hair. She was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. She was very attentive to what I was looking for and I walked out feeling like a million bucks. I love this place because: 1. It's close by. 2. They do hair, nails, facials, waxes, etc. 3. It's run by a lady! 4. They offer classes. 5. They're non-profit. 6. They use honey-based products from a local beekeeper. I can't wait to be back. Definitely want to get the word out on this gem.

This was an amazing experience . The Staff was so friendly and tended to our needs with out question. Great products and offer services that are hard to find anywhere else. When you go ask for Pebbles she is the best and so knowledgeable about anything and everything that deals with making you look great !!!!
