Megan Ardion does a fantastic job! We have been going to her for years! CJ does a great job too! We went to her before she just went to extensions only. CJ recommended Megan and she has taken care of us every time with no complaints. We also get our products there too. The atmosphere is fun and inviting with snacks and beverages provided during your service. C2 thanks you ladies!! 👍🏼✨💆🏻‍♀️💕💇🏻‍♀️✨👍🏼

I have started this review a couple times, and failed to finish because I didn’t feel like my words did my experience justice. I was lucky enough to land in CJ’s chair this week. From start to finish she made me feel so very welcome and at ease. This made me feel that ‘Shelter’ happened to be the most fitting, perfect name for them. She took the time to ask me all the questions regarding my hair wants/needs, and took the time to explain things to me. (So did her lovely assistant). I’ve never looked in the mirror at the end of a hair appointment and had my entire face light up. She is most definitely a hair artist/wizard. Can’t put into words how much I love my hair. My only regret is not finding her sooner. Look no further!

Angelina is amazing. She always gives me exactly what I want and makes every cut suit my features perfectly. She is the only hairstylist I will ever go to. Not to mention her and all of the other stylists here are always friendly and kind. Love this place!

CJ and all of the girls at Shelter are amazing! CJ’s hospitality, attention to detail, and artistic eye are unmatched! I moved out of state and still drove back to Wichita just to see her! Would highly recommend her or any of the other girls at this salon!

Dakota did a fantastic job! It had been 6mos since I had my hair done. I have thick, long and wavy hair. It is quite the task. She is patient and kind. Dakota is knowledgeable and explains everything a long the way. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. Everyone in the salon is friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere!

Dakotah at Shelter Salon installed and takes care of my extensions and color. I have nothing but positive things to say about her. I was excited & nervous about getting extensions, and I wanted them for my wedding. I’m so glad I did it & I’m so glad I came here! Each time I go in to get my extensions lifted I see how much my natural hair has grown too and how healthy it appears. She is extremely talented and very passionate about her work. If you ever thought about getting hair extensions, don’t walk. RUN! And go see Dakotah!

Dakotah did absolutely amazing on my hair! The first time i came in, i was a brand new client with orange hair that a previous stylist messed up on. She was super thorough with me and told me all the pricing and how many sessions it would take for me to get to where i wanted to be. She has the kindest heart & made me feel at home the entire time. Truly an amazing person as well as hairstylist. I recommend booking with her!

I’ve been going to see Stacey at Shelter salon since 2019 and I’ve never had anything less than a 5 star experience. My first appointment with Stacey was to get hair extensions and I haven’t looked back! I drive from Kansas City to Wichita to get my hair done every 8-10 weeks, so I’m not kidding when I say I won’t go anywhere else. The salon is clean and welcoming. It’s also styled / decorated beautifully. Everyone is friendly the minute you walk in!

I first found Shelter Salon after researching different types of extensions. I had dry, damaged, thin hair and wanted some length. I reached out to CJ and she immediately got back with me on the process. When I went in I was welcomed and excited! They took the time to discuss my hair goals and take all my wants into consideration. Every stylist in the salon is amazing at their craft! I started going to Dakota who took over my color and extensions! She is brilliant. Her colors are flawless and blend beautifully. She recreates any inspo pic while still keeping the integrity and caring for my thin hair. Scheduling is a breeze. These girls know their stuff and will make you feel like a queen! I love that they always stay up on current hair care from products to technique. Dakota is always supportive and goes along with me for the length or a thick short lob!! She gives me the thick gorgeous hair I cant grow!

I’ve been going to Megan for years and she is the absolute best! She is incredibly talented as a hair stylist and a master of color! I love that I can sit in her chair, relax and let her work her magic! I have a lot of thick wavy hair and Megan tames those grays and tresses like only an artist can!! She is a rare gifted gem!!

Such a fun upbeat salon! Everyone is always happy & chatty & does incredible work! I have had extensions on by CJ and they were top of the line. I now see Megan and I have nothing but good things to say. She is extremely diligent and pays attention to detail, she never disappoints in my color / cut. Highly recommend this salon!

This is the best hair salon in town because everyone is very welcoming, professional, and fun to be around. Dakotah usually does my fun hair colors. She is very knowledgeable about the science of hair color and recommends the best plan for my hair and does a wonderful job each time. Whenever her schedule is full or tries to find me the best time, she would give me the best recommendation of another hairdresser in the saIon. I always enjoy my time to relax and be pampered there.

Beautiful upscale salon, tucked away in downtown Wichita, close to Intrust Arena. Professional, warm, experienced staff, made my visit extremely pleasant! I've known owner CJ Damm since she was in high school and she definitely has something to be proud of! I found a place to call home!
