I can't say enough great things about this salon! Every visit is a wonderful experience, but I have to give a special shoutout to Tasha. She is simply incredible. From the moment I sat in her chair, she made me feel comfortable and confident that I was in great hands. Her attention to detail, expertise, and genuine care for her clients is unmatched. Tasha listened carefully to what I wanted, gave excellent suggestions, and delivered beyond my expectations. My hair has never looked better! I have been going to Traona for several years now and she never disappoints! As I started my natural hair journey, she answered all of my questions, provided great advice and walked me through steps to keep my hair healthy and grow longer than I could have ever imagined. After trying out a handful of stylists, I am so thankful I found her. She has also graciously helped my 12-year old daughter get her hair care needs met too!

I love the Shine Beauty Studio and my stylist, Traona, who I have been going to for several years. Healthy hair is their goal for everyone and Traona takes the time to explain the best steps to take care of your natural hair. She is patient, caring, kind, and does her best to help you. Ms. Tray has been wonderful with our 6 yr old daughter. She was very tender headed when we first brought her; however, Tray has been so patient in the beginning stages of doing her hair. Now our daughter CONFIDENTLY walks In the salon, ready to have her crown taken care of! Her hair is so stunning every time that we pick her up and we are just so grateful to have found Shine Studio✨

Shine! Beauty Studio is a clean, neat and bright establishment. I get nothing but positive vibes and warm welcomes when I enter the door. Bailey is always my go to when I want to try something new and she always educates me on what I should do to keep my natural hair healthy. I’m very picky when it comes to where I get my hair done but I’ll definitely be making regular appointments here.

The salon experience was okay to me. The music is a bit loud, and for them to talk really low is absurd how can anymore hear you. The owner was a bit passive when she assumed I did not say Good Morning back which is unacceptable. I hope they do better :)

1. I paid for a consultation just to be told at the end that the stylist (also the owner) was no longer accepting clients. That should have been communicated to me in the beginning and I would've saved myself time and $25. 2. I booked feed-in braids with a trim with that same stylist's apprentice. I let her know I just wanted cornrows not feed-ins but could not find that option on her site. After my hair was already blow dried, I was informed that there was no one available to trim my hair and the apprentice was unable to. This was annoying because the whole reason I booked the style was to get a trim and if no one was going to be available to do it on the day of my appt it should have been communicated to me beforehand and the option to add the trim should not have been available! 3. I was not pleased with the end result of my style because some of the braids were crooked and not uniform with the others. I asked what the policy was in regard to that and the stylist said I would have to talk with the owner. I was also charged $100 for cornrows with NO hair added, after the stylist tried to tell me feed-in braids were the same as stitch braids regardless if hair is added or not....LMAO what?! 4. The owner reached out to me later that afternoon, which I appreciate. I think she has decent customer service skills but her apprentice does not. However, she only offered a $10 refund and asked if I would be willing to come back to have the same style redone, which I eventually refused because it would not benefit me at all and would be more $ out of my pockets. At the end of the day, my experience here was ruined due to extremely poor communication and lackluster customer service. Absolutely will not be returning.

My daughter’s hair was braided and I could have done a better job to be frankly honest. I pay for someone else to do her hair for my convenience because I work a lot. I called to make an appointment a few days prior and I requested for my daughter’s hair to be trimmed and when we arrived day of the appointment. Right after blow drying her hair, I asked if the stylist was going to trim her hair and then the stylist informed me that my daughter’s hair will not be able to trim her hair because she isn’t licensed to cut hair.. If that was the case, the stylist should have told me before I booked the appointment. I just felt like I was lied to by the stylist. Because she knew that. And that’s the reason I will not return. With addition, the braids were not executed well either. I did not say anything to the stylist in front of daughter because my daughter was in the chair at that point for 3 hrs and I wasn’t going to ask her to re-braid it and put my baby through extra pain. In total daughter was in the chair for 4 and 1/2 hours and she is under 10 years old. But afterward we left, I texted her about my concerns and the response was not… helpful. I will never recommend anyone to get their hair done here. No one ever reached out for any concerns. I wasn’t looking for refund because the stylist soon after I texted her about not liking the hair told me she was new. But the least she could have done is tell me she is not licensed to trim my daughter hair before! That’s the part that bothers me. My daughter isn’t new to salons or hair braiding. So it’s a no. Will never come back.

Yes it was my first time here. The place is so clean bright and personable. Paris gave me a hair treatment and did a sew in.I love the results. She’s very professional and personable and takes her time to explain everything she does.Give you tips how to maintain and to keep your hair healthy.Everyone loves the new looks.I usually don’t wear my hair this long but it’s growing on me.Look her up you won’t be disappointed.Thanks again Paris
