Sine is the best hair coloring studio and salon I’ve EVER had. Laura, Chrissy, and Jessica strive to give every customer a connected and pampered experience. And, they have always succeeded with me. Every time I visit, I always feel welcomed and included. Their work is outstanding. I can’t tell you how many compliments I get on how nice my hair looks. If you’re looking for a beautiful cut and color, then this is your place to go.

I can't even tell you the number of compliments I've gotten on my hair since I started going to Laura at Shine. I even had someone the other day say I looked so much younger than when they saw me a year ago. Laura is so good at what she does with hair and it is such a treat to get to enjoy everyone’s company while I’m there. Everyone is so down-to-earth and positive at Shine. Fantastic hair professionals!

I first came to Shine after a bad dye job from a stylist at another salon and was in dire need of a color correction. I had a consultation with Laura and she assured me they could fix it and she formulated the best plan to fix the color while not further damaging my hair. Katie did my color correction and completely saved and transformed my color. I continued to go back for my hair cuts from Laura and color touch ups from Katie. Laura knows exactly how to treat and cut curly hair- I cannot recommend her more highly. The staff are all wonderful and I would feel safe sitting in any of their chairs. After my recent move, Laura even reached out to send me my color formula so I could provide that to my next stylist. Chrissy was also so helpful when it came to booking my appointments between my hectic schedule- I always looked forward to seeing her at each appointment! If you’re in Columbia and have curly hair I highly recommend making your way over to Shine.

Nikita gave me the worst hair cut I've had overall in years and hands down the worst ever for someone who is supposed to understand curls. She did nothing to cut to my curl pattern at all and scoffed when I asked her to use thinning shears behind my ears. When it was dry and still WAY too bulky, she just started whacking away with scissors. I didn't complain at the time because I know that sometimes a curly cut needs time to settle, but it's just gone from bad to worse and she cut it too short to even get it fixed so I'm stuck. The color did turn out well.

BEST salon for curly girls! Every stylist is trained on curly cuts. This is not just a regular haircut they will not straighten your curls just to cut it. And they know exactly how to style it. Just look at how my curls were before and afterwards. My stylist is Katie. You will not regret it!

I began by discussing what I wanted with the stylist and everything was great until the very end when she cut my bangs short without saying anything. I was in complete shock since it was the exact opposite of what we'd talked about at the beginning.

This was my first haircut in 5 years! Had been growing my hair long since 2017 and wanted to get back to having short hair. I am really glad I chose Shine! The welcome staff were very friendly, were able to get me an appointment the very next day. My stylist Katie was epic! I loved what she did to my hair! I do not think I have had such a great haircut in all my life! As someone who deals with self image issues, this was probably the first time I looked in the mirror and liked what I saw! Thanks a million Katie for such an amazing hair cut! I will recommend anyone and everyone I know to try out Shine! They are the best. P.S: They are also very considerate about COVID safety. I had called other salons prior to Shine and they all said that they cannot and will not tell their stylists to wear a mask, whereas Shine made me feel very comfortable and Katie wore a mask the entire time!

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE CURLY HAIR. This was honestly the worst haircut i’ve ever gotten. I literally look at myself in the mirror everyday and almost cry. My stylist cut all of my curls off and gave me basically a “bowl” cut when i asked for bangs and a trim. All of my curls are gone and i’m 4 months behind on growing my hair out. I will never be returning to this salon.

I absolutely love Shine Hair Salon! If you are looking for a stylist that specializes in Deva cuts for ALL textures please ask for NIKITA! She is AMAZING! I'm sure others can help but Nikita is my go to!

I usually don’t leave reviews anywhere but I love this place! I have curly hair so I was scared to let someone color it and risk damaging my curls but my curls looked better after than they did before. 10/10 would recommend!

Okay, Nikita is a dream! I scheduled an appointment with her for a DevaCut at the recommendation from another curly girl. She educated me on my hair type, and products that work for my hair and how to style. At the end of my service, I loved what I saw in the mirror. I've had bad experiences in the past by other stylist, but Nikita listened, made me feel at ease, and offered recommendations on what would work best for me in my curly hair journey. Looking forward to seeing her again! Thank you Nikita! :-)

Got the best haircut ever from the newest stylist named Alex, I highly recommend you get her especially if you want something done right. She has to be the best stylist in Columbia. If you see any reviews saying otherwise those reviews are by the same people that order complicated orders at restaurants.

I absolutely LOVE this salon! If you want an amazing hair experience this is the place to go! The team that works there is amazing from front desk to stylist chair. Everyone listens to you and what you are looking for during your appointment. They always give you multiple options and most importantly, for me, they totally understand curly hair!! Each team member is a pleasure to work with and talk to during your appointment! I highly recommend this salon to everyone and especially to the curly girls!

I am so grateful that I found Shine Hair Salon and what they did for my curly hair. I had wanted to try a DevaCut and Laura truly did an amazing job, listened closely to my needs, used products specific to me (I'm still using them and loving them), and I was so pleased with the final result. She carefully wrote out for me the products she used and instructions, too. Shine also went out of their way to remind me of the appointment and follow up the next day to see if I liked my cut or had questions. They really listen and do a fantastic job with your hair and making you look your best. I hadn't been to a salon in many years and I only wish I'd gone sooner.

I had a DevaCut with Nikita, and it was by far the best hair salon experience thatI have ever had. She was kind, on-time, and professional and did an AMAZING job cutting my super curly hair. She did a wonderful job and explained how she used each product that she used throughout the whole process. If you have curly hair and are on the fence about getting a hair cut here, do yourself and your hair a favor and schedule you're appointment!!

Shine is a curly girl's safe haven! I have been wanting a Deva cut for a long time, but I was nervous & didn't know where to go. I'm so glad I found Shine & Nikita. I love my haircut & will definitely be back. I highly recommend Shine to all you curly girls!

TL;DR: Highly recommend, especially for people with curly hair. It is a little pricey, but it's worth every penny and if you're getting a Deva Cut it's going to be expensive anywhere. I adore Shine and all of the people who work there. I have very curly hair, and it's so nice to have a hair stylist who knows what they're doing with it! All of their stylists are Deva Curl certified, but I specifically see Katie. She is so nice and so good at what she does. Over the years I've been working with Katie, I've had her cut off a lot of my hair twice, with no warning that that was my plan. Each time she (a) talked to me about my decision to make sure I was going to be happy with it and (b) gave me a fabulous cut. I also love that every single time I go in, even if it's the same products I've been using for awhile, Katie explains to me exactly what products she's using, how she's applying them and why. It's a really helpful refresher. Also, each person there is exceedingly kind. Everyone says hi when you come in, everyone chats with you if they have time, everyone remembers you - but not in an overwhelming way. I am not a people person and normally despise attention, but they really make you feel like you're good friends catching up. Finally, most importantly, they're taking COVID seriously. Right now they are checking your temperature before you can come in, asking screening questions, requiring masks and requiring you wash your hands as soon as you walk in. They've put up barriers at their wash stations and are spreading out their work stations to give more space when possible.
