This was my very time time going to Short Hair Xpress and let me tell you, they👏🏾did👏🏾not👏🏾disappoint👏🏾!! I was blessed to have Annissa as my hairstylist, she knew exactly what she was doing and had the best suggestions for my hair that worked best and looked best on me! Definitely a 10/10 experience and will definitely be going again for a touch up with my girl Annissa! Staff were also very friendly and made you feel welcomed and beautiful.

Shawn is a 5 star stylist and his COMMUNICATION is top notch! I was a client of his years ago and found him again on my new pixie journey. I came to them with extremely damaged hair and we have a long road but with the cut and tips, Shawn will certainly get you right! Ignore the janky reviews and book, babes!

Shelley was my stylist and Idk the name of the shampooing lady but both were phenomenal. Shelley got my hair finger waved and hair rinse color to the tee. I sat down in her chair as an emotional person who had little hope in finding a professional hairstylist who cares about her clients needs and meets their hair goals while balancing listening skills with people skills. I left the salon regaining my self confidence and my hair looks beautiful. Thank you Shelly, I will be coming back to see you soon. Stay Blessed Michelle ❣️

The hair service is excellent! Shelly is great with styling my hair! However the shop could improve with opening on time. Several times I’ve arrive for a 10am appointment and the shop wasn’t open and I was forced to sit outside in my car until someone arrive

Won't recommend! The thing about supporting your people is some bullshit will always happen. Communication is key and that was not done burbhey my fault should not have booked after I saw their 4.1 rating but we were desperate. Book at your own risk!

Loved my haircut but I didn’t appreciate my appointment starting a hour late. No on addressed anything or even said anything about my wait. My only complaint because time is very important.

I have been going back and forth for years about wanting and needing to cut it all off and start fresh!! When I walked in it was busy and honestly I starting have flashbacks of being in the salon ALL day. When I tell you, Shawn started me on time and got me in and out in less than 2 hours.... a perm, cut, color and style. He also made me feel so very comfortable. I really think he will be able to bring my hair back to life. Thank you Shawn!!

My first time back in the salon after cutting my Locs. New client, Stylist was 30 minutes late for appt. Sat outside of salon waiting for salon to open, appt was at 10am. Wasn’t able to contact anyone sent a DM on IG to inform them of my appt. Service and style 3/5. Washed and redid my hair the next day.

Shawn did an amazing job. I got my hair cut at another salon and it wasn't exactly to my liking, but I came and got it fixed and it was beautiful! This is my first time with a pixie cut and I absolutely love it. I will definitely be returning.

I did the big chop because of postpartum and Shawn was amazing. I was nervous about how I was going to adjust to up-keeping and maintaining my hair, but he has helped me along the way. The staff are very kind and they know how to take care of their clients.

this salon is unprofessional and the work they show is an scam my mother went for an consultation she looked at my mother hair in the waiting area in front of other customers so unprofessional and inconsiderate then proceeded to take pictures instead of taking her to the styling chair and also said I can’t do nothing for you but YET yall promote short hair

As a first timer recently July 3rd was my first time here ,and ,OMG!! Shawn is everything he did my big chop ,I was looking for a more grown woman look seeing how I made 41, 6months ago and I moved to Georgia from Chicago didn't know where to look to get my haircut was tired of braids and same old look,this my 2nd time seeing Shawn and never fails me on the looks I started out with the black Original hair color now this red is poppin' I get compliments wherever I go thanks shawn😁

Exceptional service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Who did my hair: Shawn Why: I had a dream haircut I never tried but always wanted to (short blonde pixie) What was stopping me: I had thick dread locks down to my mid back. Details: What 1st empressss me was Shawn came in and went right to work so I didn’t have to wait past my appoitment time and he continued to honor his time commitments. If he said the process took 40 min he was back at 39 min ready to rinse my hair. If he said 10 minutes, it was 10 min. The entire shop has a positive uplifting energy! I saw other clients come in excited for their appointment like they got a free ticket to Disney World. The other stylist were so encouraging and we clients need that when trying a new hairstyle. Last but not least… Shawn did EXACTLY what I asked him for! I am SO GLAD I trusted my gut and spirit that he was the right one for the job! I literally can’t ask for more! Bonus: LOTS OF POSITIVE ATTENTION on the streets for my hairstyle and best of all I FEEL great!! Price: Come in the door ready to receive the pixie style you dreamed of, they can do it but also be ready to show your appreciation and pay for their professionalism. In other words it’s not cheap prices because it top of the line genuine service!! You’ll be so glad you came here. I think they posted my before and after on their IF page, so you can see for yourself. Customer service is #1 for me. I KNOW how much kindness changes everything! And I give Shawn five stars! She was friendly and explained what steps I needed to take. I really appreciate how you helped to make me feel good about my cut!

Kinda the owner and lead stylist who sets the bar did my hair. She wasted so much time and it frankly, it takes the Xpress out of the expression in the title..... the streaming is annoying and the prices are astronomical. I can not believe I paid a total of $120 for a wash and set and an Unwanted Coerced Cut.... this lady got scissor happy and cut my hair into a pixie! When I told her I was growing my pixie out🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ There are more styles than a pixie for short hair but they do not specialize in them here. I left because I'm nice I had an event and hair grows back as she sooooooo eloquently expressed by saying my hair would "grow like crazy now" as if she gave me a growth treatment... if my hair was damaged say that she said my ends needed dusting and then said Imma give you some shape basically saying Imma cut your hair back into a pixie🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤬 I don't like new stylist who are stuck in A rut and try to make my hair like their other clients. I'm angry and it was unsatisfying . Nice personality but Bad service for sure. Skip this place unless you want a pixie haircut. Her wave game is mediocre though. But who knows I was the last client.....could have gotten her absolute least care🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ I would show my hair but I restyled it before I took a picture. Smdh it was last minute. Next time I will just get braids if it's $120.....when my hair grows back of course

I cannot say enough good things about Shelly at Short Cut Express! From the moment I entered the salon, I immediately felt comfortable. I was warmly greeted and sat down for my wash within 10 minutes of my appointment time. I was in Atlanta for a photoshoot and Shelly understood the importance of this event and my tight timeframe. Shelly is my official Atlanta stylist and I recommend all the pixie cuties to go see her!

I suffered from postpartum hair shedding and loss alot of hair and had damage. Im from Colorado where there’s not alot of individuals who do pixies. I traveled from out of town and booked a big chop on a Saturday without realizing Shelly no longer does big chops on weekends. Shelly called me way before my trip and made an exception & accommodated me completely ❤️ she kept her word was transparent on the stage of my hair & professional recommendation & i allowed her to freestyle my hair & i love the results whenever I am in town i will be going back Shelly did an AMAZING job! Would recommend

I had an appointment for a big chop with Shelly yesterday and I would give 10 stars if I could ! From the walk in , she was extremely friendly which made me very comfortable as I was making a big change. Any questions that I had, she answered. Shelly has gained a new consistent client. I had an appointment today with Shelly and let me just tell you, she was absolutely amazing! I traveled in from another state to make my appt and due to this along with traffic being crazy it unfortunately caused me to be late for my appt. I understand the importance of being on time and especially the first appt because first impression is definitely a lasting one(I did call to inform her of my lateness) however she was less concerned of my tardiness and more of the fact that I made it there safely... That spoke volumes about herself as well as her character!!! As for my hair OMG Shelly brought me back to life, her skills are like none other, I've gotten so many compliments on my hair since I've left the shop and I'm telling everybody about her and her "magic hands"... I was afraid to go shorter but she cut and styled my hair to perfection and I've never been happier! I've definitely found my new stylist!!:)

I love, love Shelly she always gets me right. I recently went back to Baltimore I must say you get what you pay for. Long story short Shelly came to rescue correct my color and treated my hair and had a girl feeling good and looking like a new woman. She got me in and out she works magic. The salon and everyone there makes you feel welcomed and like family.

My first time experience was great ONLY because of Shawn, he did a great job on my finger waves. I started to leave because the receptionist (the younger lady Jahla) was unprofessional when checking me ) but she was not worth my energy and I had booked Shawn last appointment and he had a flight ( now his customer service is A1) Im big on where I spend my money I don’t do horrible customer service but then you want my money. Shawn and Shelly is why I coming back. Oh andddd when I walked in the Shampoo girl in the reception was having a full blown conversation totally ignoring me but when she finally asked about my appointment with a whole attitude. It took me a while to come back but I’m glad I did because they stlyist are talented. Its black owned but her receptionist need training or fired. Bad customer service is distasteful for any business.

I did a little research before choosing to book with SHI. I decided to go with Shawn; it's a good thing I did. Shawn is very passionate about his craft, and it shows. He corrected a cut that completely gone wrong lol. I did look at some of the reviews, and yes, there's a wait. They clearly have a huge clientele, that could be the reason for the wait. I also notice people complaining about the price. I was charged $180. For that price, I received a touch up relaxer, wash and set, deep conditioner, cut and style. So anyone who pays over that, you probable got a color and or full relaxer. I tipped $45 although I meant $40. The extra $5 was well deserved. Stylist stand all day. Thanks Shawn!!!!!!! I scheduled a consultation online. The stylist texted me said they prefer to do them via text. Strike 1 - how do you get a true understanding of what’s going on with my head by just pictures. But I’m not a hair dresser. Asked me to send pics of the style I want. They said they could do it and could I come earlier than my consultation time. Strike 2 - but I thought I just had my consultation via text. Ok confused. I live on the other side of Atlanta at least an hour away. But I got called into a work meeting and I said I wouldn’t be able to come. Strike 3 - I never made an appointment for a service only the consultation which was done via text. Their receptionist called and said they will count me as a no show because I wasn’t coming to my 145 consultation appointment which I just did via text. Somebody make it make sense. I only booked for a consultation never an appt. So it’s a NO for me.
