Came in to trim my bob and somehow my middle part ended up super off center. Girl for $100 you should be able to figure out where the middle of my head is so you cut evenly. Blow dry took so long my head started to hurt and I got annoyed. Won’t be returning, ended up cutting my hair again at home anyways to fix it.

I am beyond happy with my recent service. I will say I have been for the last 2.5 years I have been coming to this salon, however yesterday I received a great hair cut, and shampoo. The staff is so kind and TRULY makes me forget how much I miss my mom! My mom was a hairdresser for 43 years and was the only person who did my hair for the first 35 years of my life, so I have never went to or searched for a salon until my late 30's. It would be an understatement to say Carrie Smith is the BEST! She gives me hair cuts just like my mom, does me justice covering my grays.. If your not sure if you should try out Sine Qua Non, do it! They are the best at their craft, kind, and carry only the best products! Thank you!!!

Lo’s haircut and balayage work is absolutely stunning!! The color is beyond gorgeous, shockingly better than the Insta-inspo photos I showed her. I’ve been coming to her for years, and she just gets better and better. I’m so impressed. Moreover, she’s also such a kind and delightful person. I’m usually nervous about/dislike getting haircuts, let alone coloring my hair. It’s frizzy, temperamental with curls & cow-licks. But she is a magician, she can do no wrong!

I love Sine and I always see Joe - he is amazing! He is so thoughtful, very thorough and also fast. He’s great at blow drying and cutting my long and thick hair which is rare. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. And they sell great products and give helpful product recommendations. I get most of my hair products here.

Jessi did an amazing job with a cut and color on my hair! She was very attentive to what I was going for and very knowledgeable. I normally hesitate trusting someone new with my hair but I trusted her with all of her suggestions and I’m so glad I did as my hair came out looking awesome! I needed a a cut and a color and my regular stylist was out for an extended period of time. Lucked into a last minute appointment with Lo in Lakeview. I adore my hair. It is better than I expected. Truly divine intervention to book her last minute. Whoever cancelled I am forever grateful. 10/10

My hair is ruined. I asked for blending in on the sides and not to touch my bangs for a follow up touch-up. Instead they cut a bunch of pieces out of my bangs. My bangs and all of my hair are completely uneven. I will be sticking to my West Town location with Bridgette. This was a 15 dollar touch up after my hair was fixed for 80 dollars. Now I have to start all over. I’m really upset.

Today was my first time at the salon. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Complementary beverages are always welcomed :) Amanda cut my hair and she did a great job. I have wavy long hair and A LOT of it. It also does not like to cooperate on most days. I give my stylist a workout! She took the time to listen to what I wanted and what previously has and has not worked. She respected the length and gave me great layers and style to have something fun and MUCH lighter. I am also still learning on what products work best for my rambunctious hair graciously shared her knowledge and some samples to try which I am super excited for. Cutting wavy hair can be hit or miss and I will be coming back here.

The store is beautifully designed, colorful, and impeccably clean. However, the water used for spraying during haircuts leaves a sticky residue, making combing through the hair during the cut a bit uncomfortable. The blowout was a bit hotter than I'm used to; typically, I opt for a warmer setting to style my hair. I may have lost a few more strands than expected, but the stunning result was well worth it. My hair looks amazing with incredible volume, thanks to the expert layering I received at Sine Qua Non Salon. I'm absolutely in love with the outcome!

I’ve been going to Lo for the last year and she is fabulous! I never went for a cut this short before but it’s helped me so free and cute. This salon is so lovely and clean, and I love how they offer you drinks while you wait. Everyone here is so chill and pleasant and the prices are super reasonable considering how good the results are. For the first time I don’t feel punished for having curly hair!
