This studio is gorgeous, everyone who works there is polished and has a great alternative cut themselves. Clare gave me stunning new bangs. She is very calming, friendly, and listened to me and executed exactly what I wanted with photos and descriptions of upkeep expectations. I would be a regular if I lived in town.

Amazing experience here — i was nervous going blonde for the first time but my hairdresser Bridget helped me out SO much and i can honestly say i love love love my new look. Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff here — you guys are amazing!! 10/10 would recommend

I don’t trust annnnyone but Libby with my hair. I went through so much trial and error trying to find the perfect stylist for my big wavy hair and Libby gets it right every single time!! I always look forward to my haircuts, everyone at the salon is so nice and helpful and bonus you get a complimentary glass of wine 🍷

Owen is the absolute best. I have been seeing them for my haircuts, highlights, and balayage services for a few years now and figured it was time for a review. I have never left Owen's chair without feeling like my hair looks absolutely gorgeous. They nail it every single time which is especially impressive going from very blonde to a medium brown with highlights. It helps that they are an absolute joy to spend a few hours in the chair with chit chatting and catching up. Highly recommend!!!

I am happy to say I have been a client of Glenn’s for my haircuts and appreciate all the services Sine Qua Non offers. Amanda was my stylist this past Saturday for a family wedding, and she shampoo/conditioned/blowout a stellar style with adding fullness and curls. The R+Co products felt so good, and lasted despite a little rain. I really appreciate having SQN Salon. It is my beautification center with essential services for being my best! Merci!!

It’s sad that they’re written policy doesn’t match what actually happens when a cut isn’t quite right. Got my haircut on Thursday and it was totally unmanageable Friday and unmanageable again this morning so I called repeatedly until finally after an hour and a half somebody answered the phone. I wanted an evaluation to see if we could do something to fix it or if I would just have to wait for it to grow out to get it fixed. Looks like so I will have to be miserable while the part that wasn’t cut well grows out. Then search for another salon that knows how to cut short hair. It’s important not to make mistakes when you’re cutting short hair! That is the only reason why I was willing to pay so much money to get my haircut/$95 so that it would be cut properly. Unfortunately this did not happen. Part s of my haircut was quite good and part was not, there is a disconnect. Unfortunately the hairdresser that cut my hair didn’t seem to understand the what I meant about cutting the front part of my hair/ the most visible part! When I called they wanted me to have her fix it. I’m afraid she will make it worse. Therefore I will not be returning because of this. I could’ve probably gotten a better cut for a fraction of the price when I spent $95 for a cot I expect it to be excellent and sadly this is not the case.

i thought my life was over when my previous stylist moved. BUT: when one door closes, etc, as they say. bridgette is the best thing that’s ever happened to me probably. she’s incredible, she’s so knowledgable, and she’s hilarious. the rest of the staff are wonderful and welcoming too (shout out monet!) and the space is beautiful. plus, they give me a pbr even when my appointment is maybe a bit earlier than 5 o’clock somewhere, and their prices are incredibly reasonable for the level of service. please never leave me.

I went to the Sine Qua Non salon in Lakeview yesterday and was blown away. Previously, I had been going to the same stylist for the past 5 years and knew it was time for a change. I'm so glad I came here. Kate who was working at the front desk was so polite and professional. Kiki, my stylist, really heard me and I'm not exaggerating when I say this because she made sure that she gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. Lastly, Mary Kate, who shampooed my hair was so sweet and attentive. I really appreciated everyone's attention to detail here. I prebooked my next appointment and I'm looking forward to coming back!

I've been going here for years, and I couldn't recommend it more. I've seen a few different stylists and they've all been wonderful! I have seen Lisa most consistently, and she is awesome. The atmosphere is so lovely, and they serve you a drink when you arrive which is so nice. 10/10!

Saw Lisa for a cut and style and love it! I needed a change for the up coming summer and wanted to remove some damage and Lisa listened to my concerns and gave me what I wanted. The salon is super cute and conveniently located with street parking available. Looking forward to my next appointment.

I was visiting from out of town, I called this location and they were able to squeeze me in with Bridgette—she gave me a life changing blowout! She was patient with me and respected my wishes to keep my long length. I am SO sad this salon and the stylists here are so far way from home—-I may book a self-care trip just to come back here. I felt cared for and the woman at the front was lovely, I felt well cared for and I cannot want to come back to receive this wonderful treatment —the ambiance is so chill and full of good energy —-100x recommend💜

Lisa Barber is my haircutter. She is great. She saved me from what was essentially a comb over. It’s much betterlooking now! I have been going to sine qua non For many years until now. I had an appointment which they reminded me about 2 days before the appointment, which was a Saturday, due to my current location I didn’t get the message until the next day which was Sunday, they are closed Sunday and Monday so I called Tuesday morning the day of my appointment. They charged my cc without consent $121.00. I was just having my roots dyed. They added that I was getting a cut and highlights. I have Never gotten highlights or a cut there ever. I disputed the charge with my bank. Be careful when you cancel with Clair. Bad Business!

I've had a difficult time over the years finding a hair stylist who really listens & understands the look that I'm trying to achieve. A lot of the times I would leave the salon disappointed. That was not the case this time. My girl Bridgette absolutely delivered. I'm glad I came here & will definitely be coming back! Trust me you will not be disappointed.
