Got a medium curly cut from Alexis yesterday. I liked that the consult conversation covered all the bases but didn't take forever. The set up was comfortable and I enjoyed the (add on services) deep condition and hot towel facial. I don't usually go for the extras but honestly, ending the service with a mini facial was an experience I think I will repeate, I felt so luxurious! I'm also really happy with my haircut. I wanted short and it's hard to find someone who can give you a femme shape with a short length when you have curls. Alexis did a great job of checking in and made adjustments along the way so that I got what I asked for. I think next time I'm going even shorter but until then I'm super pleased with the results.

I've been getting my hair cut with Alexa for probably close to a year, and I've always been happy with it. I like a high and tight fade with longer, stylized/combed hair on top. With previous hair stylists at different shops I was never 100% happy with the end result. When I had my first appointment with Alexa and described what I wanted, however, she knew exactly what I was describing and she's never done a bad job. I even entrusted her with my wedding haircut and it was perfect! Alexa is always professional, friendly, and pays attention to even small details that other stylists overlook. Highly recommend!

I received the best haircut I’ve had since I grew my hair long! My natural curls were flat and frizzy. I had no idea what I needed but knew what I wanted as far as ease of upkeep. Alexis gave me a curly cut and a new shape I’d not tried before. I expected to need to go short but she was able to do wonders and kept most of my length. It’s been really easy to maintain and I love the way my curls behave now.

Alexis at Sixela Hair Studio gave me all the support and advice I needed to start wearing my hair curly! She gave me a great cut that really brought out my natural texture and styled it beautifully. My hair still looked great days after my appointment! Alexis was also very helpful in answering all my questions about how I can maintain the style myself. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for someone who knows wavy & curly hair!

Alexis has been cutting my hair for a while now. She’s been nothing but great and that’s why I continuously going to her. She offers many services and she is talented at everything she does. Any time i need anything done she does it to perfection. She is very nice and easy to work with. Definitely go visit her if you are still considering it.

Alexis is an amazing curly hair stylist! I’m always happy and looking good when I get out of her chair. She has given my curls a long cut, layers, a short curly bob, and has now given me bangs twice! Two of my friends also see her now :) I trust Alexis to know how to achieve the look I’m asking for and she always asks questions or suggests ideas if I don’t give enough information. Highly recommend!

Alexis is an amazing stylist! I am the type that wants to mix things up with my hair, and she always has incredible ideas and gives me awesome cuts and color. I also love the fact that when she works on your hair, she only works on you and no one else since she has her own private hair studio. I've always been a barbershop guy, and I never wanted to go to a stylist because I didn't want to be waiting there for ever while the stylist worked on me and other people:). With Alexis, you are her sole focus - in and out with everything done, color, wash, an awesome cut/style - and great company. I absolutely love my haircut each time that I go there, and she does magic with curly/wavy hair...unlike anyone I've ever had before! It's so hard to find a amazing stylist period...but one that has availability, does an fantastic job every time, and did I forget to say how inviting her studio was?. I cannot recommend Alexis enough!

I had a wonderful experience at Sixela Hair Studio! Alexis did an amazing job on my hair and gave me the radical change I was looking for. What I appreciated most was that I was the only client in the studio and had Alexis' undivided attention. This made the session very focused and relaxing. The salon is fun with high, hanging plants, tiny lights and a disco ball, mellow music, and peaceful nature videos streaming. It really added to the overall atmosphere of my experience and I loved the edgy vibe. I was tired of my long, heavy, wavy hair and wanted a low maintenance cut that would still allow me to put my hair up in a ponytail when working out. Alexis listened and understood exactly what I wanted. She went all Edward Scissorhands on my hair and gave me a superbly-done, layered cut that brought out more curl while reducing weight. I couldn't be more pleased with the result! Even after my first wash at home, my hair still looks great and is incredibly low maintenance because of the amazing cut. Overall, I highly recommend Hair by Alexis to anyone looking for a great hair salon experience. The attention to detail and personalized service is unmatched. Thank you, Alexis!

I highly recommend booking with Alexis, she is very talented and so understanding. I am pretty picky and nervous when it comes to haircuts, and when I expressed this to her she took me seriously and was adamant to make me feel as comfortable as possible. I wanted to try something new with my hair and she made sure to ask as many questions and get my opinion before jumping into the cut. If you book with her, I’m positive she will be your new favorite hair stylist as she is mine.

Just wanted to take a month to thank Lexi for showing my hair some love. Her space is so personal and quiet. Love being able to trust a professional with such an important aspect of me. When I found Alexis I had not been to a hair stylist in 5 years. I have extremely curly hair and it’s always been a struggle to find someone who understands the needs of my hair and my scalp. Alexis is so gentle and kind to curly hair so if you have a tender scalp and curly hair she is definitely your gal! She listens to you, checks up on you and how you like your hair at every point. I’ve been to her twice so far and I will definitely coming back!

I came to Alexis a few weeks ago for my first curly cut and I was so happy with the end result! She was very friendly and super informative and gave really good tips on styling my hair. I inquired about hair color and she gave a few great ideas. I loved the private salon/studio as someone who gets anxious/nervous at normal salons, the vibe was very chill and relaxed. Oof, where do I begin? Alexis is an incredible hairdresser. She is kind and patient, and getting my hair cut in her stunning salon was such a treat. She added layers to my curly hair and gave it a lovely rounded shape and more volume, which is exactly what I was looking for. Plus, she gives excellent product recommendations and insight into how my hair behaves- my curls have never been happier. I'm thrilled to have her as a hairdresser and I look forward to going back soon! :)

The most cutest, comfortable salon! Alexis is so sweet and made sure to understand what I was looking for. I went with an overall brown, so that I can have all one color.. FINALLY! 😏 she also has hair spa treatments and sells products!

Alexis is absolutely incredible. I let her do whatever cut she feels like when I see her and it's amazing every time. People compliment my hair constantly. I have curly hair and she is the only hair stylist I trust. She's also very sweet and dope as hell. Definitely recommend her for all hair textures, but especially curly folks.

Alexis is an incredible hair stylist! I went to her when I was looking to fulfill my dreams of chopping off my hair and getting a pixie cut. Alexis was nothing but kind and communicative throughout my haircut. She really understands hair and how to style different cuts for different people and is open to how her clients want to change their hair! Finding a hair stylist that you like and trust is hard enough; finding a stylist that knows curly hair is a whole different game. Alexis is truly talented, hit her up! I have been going to Alexis for over a year, & she is the only person I trust my hair with! I have thick wavy hair & chose Alexis based off her work with hair types similar to mine. Initially I wanted to find someone I could consistently see to cut my hair, but my trust in her grew & she helped me take baby steps of lightening my hair- something I haven’t done in YEARS after an experience with damage after a visit with another salon. Incredibly sweet, hardworking and especially knows about all things hair. I have curly hair which can be hard to work with but she's always there to answer questions and keep me looking great. It has been over a month since I have gone in and gotten my hair down in writing this post. I asked for a med length wolf cut which looks great with/out styling it! I have been to a lot of different stylists to get my hair down with only a few actually knowing how to cut it which can get frustrating. She listened to my concerns and gave amazing feedback with options for my hair. Great service and 10/10 would recommend her to others with concerns over their beautiful wavy and curly hair.

I’m a type of person who doesn’t put in the extra care to pamper myself, especially when it comes to haircuts. I tend to go to the fast $15 ones and just call it day regardless if I like the cut or not. I found Alexis via Instagram and have never looked back since! Alexis made sure I felt safe and talked me through every step of the haircut, always making sure I was aware of what was happening and if I was okay with it. Alexis is very easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole wash and haircut! I am definitely coming back for more cuts ~

My appointments with Alexis were the first time I had a hairstylist who was conscious of my curly hair texture and actually catered everything she did to making my curls look and feel good. I got a curly cut and highlights and her attention to detail was amazing. She dry cut my hair so she could see how the shape would look with my curl pattern, and did an amazing moisturizing treatment. Then she actually took the time to add curly hair product and diffused my hair. My curls felt so soft and defined afterwards! My second appointment was for the highlights. We decided she would hand paint the highlights for a more natural look that would damage my hair less, and the results were exactly like my reference pictures. It was my first time feeling really cared for by a hair stylist and I will definitely be coming back to Alexis for all my curly hair needs. Such a friendly person and a really talented hair stylist. 10/10 recommend.
