I’ve had many facials over the years and have been visiting Skin Spa locations around Manhattan for over a decade. My recent facial with Natalie was one of the best I’ve ever had—exceptional service and results. If I could, I’d book with her every week. Highly recommend!

If you purchase a Groupon for $50, then I guess it’s worth it. The facial I got was very average, nothing exceptional. I added a glycolic acid treatment for an extra $50, but overall, the experience felt pretty “mid.” The space itself doesn’t have a high-end or luxurious feel, so I wouldn’t recommend paying full price for their services. One thing I really didn’t like was that they asked for my credit card information for their records. I would have preferred the option to use Apple Pay or another secure method without worrying about my data being stored. If you’re looking for a budget option and you get a discount, it’s okay—but don’t expect anything amazing.

I have gotten a wax here previous and it went well. The lady recommended getting laser hair removal and I decided recently to go back for it. The experience was frustrating and odd. My appt was for 6:45 and they close at 8pm. At 6:47 I got a call saying my appointment is cancelled bc I'm late and I told them I was right outside. They said I can come in. Before the laser began the lady was rushing. She was knocking on the door before I even finished changing. I got scolded abt not having a super close shave. The actually laser part was over in less than 5 minutes. I’m not sure what exactly was done. The whole experience felt rushed. I hope it gets better bc I bought a 6 session package.

Absolutely horrendous service. The waxing practitioner was very rude, unprofessional and inept. Took off my skin during waxing that resulted in active bleeding. Blamed me for my hair. No apology or acknowledgement from her or the business. Had given them a second chance after a few years seeing recent reviews. Avoid at all costs!

I’ve been gong to Skin Spa for approximately 5 years or so. First when they were on West 57th Street and now on the UWS. I have had full body massages, facials and microdermabrasions and always leave satisfied! The estheticians have always been very professional and Get the job done! A special shout out to EKA, who I’ve now had 4 times, for making me feel comfortable, confident and beautiful! The space is clean and serene with Malcom, at the desk, always greeting me with a smile. The packages they offer are worth the money and as far as I know they don’t expire! That being said if you live on the upper west side (and even if you don’t) and are looking for competent estheticians, this is the place.

Soria is the reason I keep coming back! I've been seeing her for 2 years and consistently go monthly. I rotate between the facials, peels and laser genesis. Soria is always so full of energy and answers all my skincare questions and gives me tips and tricks for in between treatments. Malcom at the front desk is also always a joy and somehow makes scheduling my next appointment a fun experience every time. The team and treatments are truly amazing!

I’ve been coming to Soria for about a year now and my skin has improved drastically! I’ve been getting facials and the laser genesis. My skin tone is so much more even and the texture much smoother. Soria gave me great skincare techniques to use at home. I’ve also loved getting to know Soria on a personal level as well. I couldn’t recommend her enough!

Does Soria work at any other locations not associated with skin spa? i have not been back here in a year but she had my skin looking healthy and glowy. Unfortunately, the front desk was always rude to me and would hang up phones on me whenever I called . The front desk managers DO NOT like if you don't buy packages and can be very mean about pushing their packages. If there is a way to contact Soria or possibly find out if she does facials at a different establishment how would I do that? I would call and ask for her but the manager was always rude and dismissive with me.

This is a review for Malcolm, the manager of this location. Last year my husband booked me an aromatherapy massage for my birthday. I didn’t receive the aromatherapy massage and instead received the basic one. I even asked the masseuse halfway through he said it was too late. The receptionist at the time offered me a $25 credit that she claimed could be used on anything in store or services which I accepted. The last time I went to this location Malcolm was extremely rude. Trust me I’d rather have gotten my service than a credit. He was condescending and basically said the credit wasn’t valid on any in store product or discounted service - full price only. It’s not my fault your team screwed up. And great so now I have to spend more money to use the credit for your mistake? No thanks. Avoid this particular location at all costs. They are always screwing up one way or the other

Soria is such a gem with my facials! I had been seeing her at SkinSpa for my facials for a while but I took a break in between to try out the estheticians in my new neighborhood. However, I quickly realized that no one can treat my skin better than Soria! She has set a certain standard for addressing my skin concerns reflecting the true meaning behind SkinSpa’s custom facials. Highly, highly recommend!

I had a decent facial. I’m giving a neutral rating because it was supposed to last 65 minutes and it hardly lasted 45 minutes. The extractions could have been a lot more thorough. I put in the 15 minute add on for deep cleansing and it definitely wasn’t that long. Businesses should not post durations of a visit if they aren’t going to adhere to it.

I have been coming to Skin Spa for facials for a while now. Soria is by far the best esthetician there. She takes the time to really analyze my skin and provides the best treatment for it. My skin always looks and feels incredible when I leave. In addition, she is so lovely and I really enjoy chatting with her. I highly recommend Skin Spa and Soria!

I have been seeing Eva for the past 7 years in several skin spa locations throughout the city and I always come out with amazing results. She is extremely detailed oriented and if you are consistent with your treatments, you will notice a difference. Best money I ever spend was for their laser hair removal services, strongly suggest you try it and see Eva!

I went for a facial. The person was very pushy for me to get other treatments which i refused and then she said she didn’t know what to do with all the time of the facial. The extractions were more painful than usual and I had to ask her to stop. She then applied two masks that left for a long long time and that was it. It has been now 4 days after the facial session, my skin still swollen, super red, itchy and painful. And it looks much worse than before the facial. Very disappointed.

I've been going to Skin Spa for 8 years and the best results come from the best aestheticians regardless of location. At the UWS Skin Spa, I can wholeheartedly recommend Soria, who has provided me with meticulous service including a variety of facials and laser. Her technical skills are excellent plus she's an attentive and responsive listener who shapes her menu to your issues. No surprise, she's often booked -- but it's worth your while to persist.

Skin Spa NY has the best esthetician ever and her name is Soria! In the past 3 months I have seen such improvements with my skin. My skin is glowing and pores have decreased tremendously. Seriously the best!! It’s definitely worth it! Just try it out. You won’t regret it.
