Best kept secret in Raleigh! I love my Stylist, she always goes above and beyond for me. The Salon is very unique and I enjoy the music and the decor. I always leave Sky Parlor feeling beautiful with a great hair appointment. Jennifer is a perfectionist and she is the best!

Could not speak more highly of this salon! I came here with pretty messed up hair from a previous salon and Jennifer Baker transformed my hair in just one session. She is fantastic with highlighting! The salon overall was very friendly, inviting, and just a great atmosphere. I highly recommend!

So disappointing, I really really wanted to like this place. They were super sweet and fitted me in as a new customer because I had a wedding to go to, and my regular place shut down due to the weather and wouldn't fit me in until too late... So when I got here, I was greeted with such kindness, I was introduced to my stylist who, again was incredibly sweet. She asked lots of important questions and I answered them and felt like we had a good understanding. I made it clear how happy I was with my previous haircut and I was looking forward to a shorter cleaner version of the same thing- specifically "lots of long layers" We talked about some products, and the wash, scalp treatment and process. She cut off most of the length up front, before the wash, even. After the products were put in my hair, she did a lot of trimming for a while and I just sat there and trusted the process - then she stopped and asked me if I wanted her to blow my hair out straight or just discover my own natural waves... I was confused by this and asked her to explain and she said "if I blow it out with a round brush, it will dry straight, but if I don't blow it out you'll have natural waves." I know my hair - it needs to be dried or it poofs out into frizz. So I asked for it to be dried. Halfway through, I could really see the shape it was taking and I was getting upset but still waiting to see the end product without being too judgemental... When she finished blow drying it was a flat, bowl. No layers, just bowl. I was clearly visibly upset- she asked me what was the matter and I told her exactly what i thought of the cut. She was really sweet about it, and wasn't insulted. Thankfully. She did a few things to try to fix it a bit and it turned into a sort of Bob haircut. When I asked for better layering (it was already too short by this point) she tried a tiny bit but after a while she said if she were to cut the layers in that I wanted it would start to look like a mullet. That's when I stopped her. I never wanted a Bob haircut, but I'd rather that, than a mullet. I got home, washed it and tried to do *anything * with it... but ended up crying because I can't. It's too short and can't take any kind of styling at all. I'm stuck until it grows out. The wedding pictures will forever memorialize this haircut. I'm so disappointed. Plus I had to pay full rate, which was 3x what i normally pay for a haircut. In fairness, I knew and accepted the rates when they squeezed me in. But it hurts to pay that much and not love it. You know?

I came here with crazy messed up hair from an at home experiment and my stylist Jennifer accepted the challenge and saved me!! lol. I had my first appointment with her a few days ago she took my yellow and orange spotty toned blonde and made it beautiful. We still have another session or two before it’s right where we want it but I can assure you from what I’ve experienced she will do the most she can while keeping your hair happy. We did highlights and lowkights and she gave me a treatment that made my hair go from straw-like to smooth and tame. She also gave me one of my favorite haircuts I’ve had. She was very mindful and supportive of how much length I was willing to take off as well. She was also so sweet and made sure I was taken care of the entire appointment. Not only that but the atmosphere of the salon itself was really welcoming and positive. You can tell that their team loves what they do.

I highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants to have an enjoyable experience. I was checked in immediately upon my arrival and offered a refresher. My hairstylist Amber was very welcoming, attentive, kind and put so much effort into helping me achieve the haircut I wanted. I’m very satisfied with the outcome and will be returning for future hair needs, thank you for the wonderful service Sky Parlor!

I moved to the area a few months ago and looking for a new stylist, I found Sky Parlor Salon. My stylist Jennifer Baker is an awesome stylist. I got my highlights and cut and can’t be happier with the results. I wanted to be bold and go for violet lowlights. It looked so amazing, and I even received compliments about the color from strangers. The staff is also very friendly.

Jennifer’s attention to detail is absolutely incredible and truly shows in her work. She provided recommendations when I needed them and allowed me to have full control when I didn’t. The entire process of completely changing my hair color and style was made so much easier by her expertise and the welcoming environment.

I recently moved to North Carolina, and the salon was recommended to me. I made a consultation appointment with Jennifer, then was able to have my appointment for my service two days later. Jennifer was professional, knowledgeable, and confident in her approach to me. She sat down, and listened to my concerns, and expectations. She made recommendations as to my cut and color. I was confident and comfortable with her approach. I had my cut and colored today, having her implement her recommendations. I walked away loving my hair, and feeling confident. I made my next appointment before I left. Everyone at the salon was friendly, and approachable. The decor is amazing! ❤️

Oh wow... I love my hair! The color is perfect and the cut is amazing. My hair stays in place all day with little effort due to a perfect cut by Maureen I highly recommend Sky Parlor and Maureen for your hair services. ❤️ Wonderful staff, great cut, and good vibe. I went here a recently to get a bang cut and hair trim. Jennifer baker was my stylist. Sweet, knowledgeable, and very skilled! She knew exactly what I was looking for and was a pleasure to talk to. Had a good time and she gave me a great cut and general hair care advice! Not usually into doing a lot with my hair but the advice and products I got have been giving me hair style inspirations👱‍♀️🤷‍♀️. Definitely coming back here again! ❤️

First time to Sky Parlor. Love the name and the quiet relaxing atmosphere and decor. Jennifer did a great job layering my hair according to a picture I brought in. She spent lots of time with me and asked questions about my hair to give the best outcome. Planning on going back! Mary B

I am always happy when I leave Sky Parlor Salon, my stylist, Yessenia always does a great job in cutting and styling my hair how I like it. I can tell her the length and the style and she delivers every time, I love coming in for a haircut or color appointment. I have been going to this salon for some time now and I love it. Truly would recommend it to anyone if they are looking for a new hair salon. :)

I rarely ever share a review, however, I love Sky Parlor, and Maureen is excellent! Parking is easy, Kai sushi is right next door (if you would would like to pick up something to nibble on after), and I'm always happy when I leave. Check it out! Five Stars, highly recommend.

I've been coming to Sky Parlor for over a year and I've had various stylists (3-4) who've worked on my hair. All of them were so kind, did a fabulous job, and took all my considerations in mind (Especially, Yessenia & Amber :) )I have thick, coarse hair, so I know it can be quite a challenge. I've gone to other hair salons in the area.... literally nothing beats Sky Parlor!!! Additionally, the front desk receptionist (Rebecca) is so sweet. Her customer service skills are amazing! She has always been so accommodating, especially one time when I got covid and had to cancel. I really appreciate Sky Parlor's ability to work with me and my crazy schedule. The only note I have is that one of the stylists gave me more of a bob-haircut one time, which is something I specifically didn't ask for. I don't want to give the name of the stylist cause that would be disrespectful. But, that's why its important to check out all the stylists and see which one works best for you.

AMBER IS THE HIDDEN JEWEL. Today was my first time visiting. I went there for consultation , my hair has been absolutely a mess but Amber has give me a quick hair cut and made me an appointment for hair color and high lights. love her personality, very friendly but yet very professional. I’m definitely going to recommend her to all of my friends. Again thank you Amber for taking me in for a short notice.
