I've been to a lot of masseuses in Philadelphia and Winnie is easily one of the top I've experienced. She is super strong and can do really powerful deep tissue but also does an incredibly relaxing but effective regular massage. She pairs the two so there's some real work being done on my muscles while also giving me some space for relaxation and more gentle muscle release. I felt like trauma was being released from my body. It not only felt physically restorative and reparative but also emotionally. She's also really responsive and respective of feedback. If something doesn't feel right, she immediately adjusts and sometimes noticed how my body was responding and adjusted before I could even say anything. She's really attuned. I highly recommend her especially if you like stronger, more effective massages.

Winnie is so good. Listens to what you want worked on and goes as hard / soft as needed. She gets it and adds in stretches too. Call ahead especially on weekends.

Let me start off this review with saying the actual massage itself was great, and if that was the only part of this review it would’ve been 5 stars. However the shop owners behavior was incredibly unprofessional in my opinion. Payment was upfront and she had made comments about how I didn’t tip more. I found this very uncomfortable as this was before I had received any service. During the massage she spoke non stop about her personal dating life, and while I never asked her to stop there were multiple stretches of time where I was nearly silent and she kept talking for almost the entire 1.5 hour massage. She also made some remarks that I found to be very insensitive. At the end as I was rushing to leave the salon she stopped me at the door, and asked if I would tip her again. I came into this salon expecting to relax after a very stressful 3 weeks of travel, and instead left feeling even more tense than when I came in. It’s highly unfortunate since she is a great masseuse, but I think if you’re BIPOC this may not be the establish for you.

She was amazing. I had a super tight and achy back and she cured me right up. Super grateful. Plus we had good conversation and some good laughs. Definitely coming back.

Winnie is the best massage therapist I have went to in philly and I have tried many different places. She actually cares about helping you feel better over time and isn’t just there to for money. Her prices are great for what she gives you… especially compared to some other places where I have paid $120 for a service where it was nothing special. It’s so hard to find a massage therapist who will actually give me the deep tissue I need. She is very strong and knows what she’s doing. I recommend her to anyone looking for a real deep tissue that will actually help you if you are very tense. I have no problem paying upfront for the service, as I have seen another comment complaining about that.

I had such an amazing massage from Winnie. I had just left the doctor's office for neck and back pain when I walked by Smooth Sunshine Spa. Winnie told me all about the Biomat, which immediately sparked my interest due to the intense pain I was in. Not only was the Biomat amazing, but Winnie gave an amazingly wonderful massage. It was truly a luxurious experience. I will definitely be going back. ☺️

Wonderful! I like firm pressure and Winnie can do it! She focused on tight muscles, knots, and working out the soreness. I came into the spa in pain and left feeling great!

Wow, what a great massage from Winnie. She could tell exactly where my sore spots were and felt out the knots and inflammation. Super strong even though she’s a petite woman. Be sure to call ahead just in case!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a massage from Winnie, and I can't recommend her highly enough. I am 6ft tall and a built athlete. When I initially called, I wanted someone strong. She assured me that despite her small and skinny appearance, she was more than capable of providing a powerful massage. I'll admit, I was skeptical at first. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Winnie is incredibly strong and has an amazing technique. She is very professional and as a corporate guy it matters to me. Her hands work wonders, and she knows exactly how to relieve tension and pain. My muscles feel so at ease specially my back and neck -because it was hurting alot, Her use of high-quality herbs adds to the experience, leaving my back and body feeling completely relaxed and I think she is experienced and skilled thats why she know the pain points. If you're looking for a massage therapist who can deliver a truly powerful and effective massage, don't let appearances deceive you. Winnie is fantastic and will exceed your expectations. Winnie is amazing. She is very passionate about her work. She has a lot of knowledge to share. A true healer. I received biomat heating bed, deep clean facial, and massage. Highly recommend. Feel very relaxed and leave with no aches or pains

Hands down one of the best massage parlors I’ve been to. She’s extremely knowledgeable on her techniques and the human body. She tends to the body very well and heals the body ! I recommend trying this special mattress she has and also the creams she offers . A true healer. I come every two weeks. Thank you !

I was in the area and searched for a place to get a deep tissue massage. The reviews did not do me wrong. The ladies were so pleasant upon entry and the massage was everything I needed after a long work week. I will for sure be back!

Editing this review to add that while Winnie is a great masseuse, she makes an all natural homemade cream that she offers to use during each session for an extra $20. If you choose not to use it, she becomes very persistent about why you aren’t using it, saying it’s only $20 and gets a bit upset with you. I personally didn’t appreciate continuously being asked & pushed towards using the cream during my massage when I had already said no. Winnie is a fantastic masseuse. I highly highly recommend her. She spent so much time working on my knots and I already feel so much better after one session. She puts the right amount of pressure and I will definitely be going back.

I had a deep tissue massage here for my tensed shoulder. Winnie recommended I add the lotion/scrub that helps soothe tension on your back and break the knots. I took her advice and I gotta say I had one of the best massages here. The message therapist targeted pretty much all of my knots. Best part of it all is the fact that their prices are reasonable. I highly recommend!

This is a little delayed but Winnie is really an amazing masseuse; I was aching really badly and after the massage with Winnie, it really eased a lot of my tensions. She was also very kind and thoughtful too, and I didn't think I'd find such a wonderful masseuse here who can massage so well - she's strong and has really amazing techniques. Winnie is AMAZING!!! If you need a strong, deep tissue massage she is the person to see. She takes her time, focuses on problems areas, and uses an amazing oil/cream as she massages. I work as a server and my body holds a lot of tension and pain, I’ve been going to her once a month and I have noticed the difference in my body. I highly recommend you go to her, best masseuse I’ve found in Philly so far!

Winnie is wonderful! Has a great big caring heart. Very passionate about her work and making her clients feel better. Very rare to find someone like her. If your looking for a real professional massage go here. You will walk out feeling so much better. Im in carpentry business where I put a lot of wear and tear on my body. I like to try to go at least 2xs a month for a massage. I’m glad I read the reviews and gave this location a try. This will definitely be my go to for a massage for now on. Ty Winnie
