Reasonable price for a haircut. The location and parking is convenient. Sofia, the owner who has been doing this over a decade was a genuine and talented lady. She was fast and efficient. Will be coming back regularly.

My hair was in such need of a full make over. Sofia greeted me with a kind smile, and took me right in with out a appointment. She was so understanding and worked wonders with my hair. I could not be happier with a local salon. I would highly recommend this family owned place to anyone. :)

Sofia has been my sole stylist for about a year now and I couldn't be happier. She is very efficient and friendly. I can get it sometimes without an appointment which is perfect for fast paced lifestyle.

Sofia has been cutting my hair for eight years now and I couldn't be happier! She has such a pleasant disposition and always tries to work me in when I call at the last minute. Since I have such a busy and varied schedule it's hard for me to schedule in advance, but I don't need to with her because she's nearly always been able to make it work for me. I'm one of the few males I see in there (not sure why!) and I wear my hair fairly short which tends to exaggerate poor skills. I've had my share of crappy haircuts at other places but those days ended when I found Sofia! Incidentally, having seen Sofia work on me, and other customers, for 8 years I'm baffled about the few poor reviews I've read here and am calling them out as fakes. If Hair Matrix were truly as bad as those few reviews contend, then they would surely be out of business! Look at all the positive reviews, then read the tone of the few negative reviews, and I think you'll see them for what they are.

This is a terrific salon. Sophia has been doing my hair for approximately eight years. I would highly recommend the Salon to all. It is in a great location with wonderful customer service.

I originally asked the hair stylist for an all over color, I even had a picture with me when I have dark brown long hair. I left with my hair wet because i was going to put it up for work anyway. When my hair dried I noticed spots showing through, and the rest of the color was BLACK!! With my extremely busy schedule I did not have time to go back until a week and a half later. The hair stylist assured me that my hair had faded over the almost two weeks ago that I had had it colored. Which couldn't be true because I noticed it the next day. She agreed to redo my hair but who knew when I was going to have time and I let her know that I wasn't sure when I could come in again. I went by about another two weeks later, telling the hair dresser that I didn't want her to dye my hair all over again because it would be way too dark. I just wanted a few highlights the same color that was on the spots that were showing through. They told me it would be $45 dollars because I waited too long. But why should I have to pay more because of her crappy job?? I understand that I wanted a different service, but she had already dyed my hair wayyyyy too dark and I didn't want it to happen all over again. And dying your hair super dark 2 times in a month would ruin my hair! oh AND it was way too short with ugly choppy layers. NEVER GO HERE!!

The owner, Sofia, did a great job on my hair. I have fine board straight hair, and she did such a great job that even as it has grown out it continued to look great well past the normal 4-6 weeks one expects from most cuts. In fact, I have gotten nearly three months out of the cut, which for short hair is extraordinary. I will continue to return and would recommend her to anyone without hesitation.

Went in with black dyed hair wanting to go platinum blonde, and the lady was so honest with me and sat me down and told me it was going to take some sessions to get the color I desire. She was in fact correct it took a couple of appointments to get my long hair to go fully platinum blonde, soooooo worth it! Not only was she honest, but she also took time to teach me how to keep my hair healthy from all the bleaching. HIGHLY recommend this salon!

Be advised - Many of the reviews that you will see about Hair Matrix were posted by one of the former Hair Dressers that quit working here - Especially CHRISPOPHER NEJMAN who honestly sits around and writes good reviews for himself and bad reviews about others. The owner of this shop is a very good hairdresser. I am one of the new hairdressers here - She has cut and colored my hair and I've seen her work on her clients - Don't believe anything that was written by that bitter old queen. THIS IS A NICE, NEIGHBORHOOD SALON!!!!

I went in to this salon to get a haircut, mostly to trim some dean ends. I made sure to tell the hairdresser (who happens to be the owner of the salon) that I didn't want her to take more than half inch off the length of my hair. I should probably mention that my hair was only shoulder length and had some very soft long layers to it. When she got to the layers, I saw inches falling off...2 inches at least. When she was done, I looked like I had crazy over-layered 80's hair. Needless to say that, for short hair, there is nothing you can do but cut it even shorter to even it out. I just wanted to cry! I am so upset! When she asked me how I felt about the haircut, I told her the layers were waaay to deep and that is not really what I had in mind. The lady looked at me and scoffed and said "wow". Exactly my thought! So, in addition to doing a crappy job, she apparently felt offended ...Do not go there!!!!
