This establishment is clean, secure and convenient parking. Zack is an amazing cut & color expert. Very cool vibe, each stylist has a unique private space.

I absolutely LOVE getting my hair done at Sola Salon by none other than the extremely talented Mr Nathan Rader. Everything here is so clean with modern touches and accents, and they always use the most up-to-date tools and supplies. And you can’t beat the luxurious feeling of relaxing in the privacy of your own little “pod” for a few hours. Off-street parking is available in the underground garage where there is always ample availability, and the first two hours get comped for free when validated. Highly, highly recommend both Nathan Rader as a stylist and Sola Salon as a great location to go “be styled”.

This is a tough review. As tenant, I’m giving Sola Salon Studios (Portland, Lloyd Center) just one star. The owners Peter & Julie McNeil are known to con certain renters out of money. There have been so many instances where they failed to hold themselves accountable for financial mistakes they’ve made or lack of communication that has led to the Stylist having to fix a problem they’ve created. I thought that since pretty much all the stylists I know who’ve rented there in the past & had bad experiences with them are no longer there, maybe Peter & Julie have cleaned their act up. I gave this place a chance. I was wrong. They’re still doing the same shady business. I quickly realized that their prejudice towards Queer people (& undercover racism), political views, irresponsibility to communicate over financial responsibilities & overall lack of respect towards anyone who doesn’t fit their mold hasn’t changed. It has in fact gotten worse because now they are very good at hiding it. That is until someone is bold enough to stand up for themselves & what is right. If you plan to rent here PLEASE keep a record of EVERY interaction you have with them & know that they are quite literally banking on you as renter not reading the fine print (especially if you’re Queer/Black/Brown & not republican).

Always lovely to visit. Individual space for each tenant. Always clean and plenty of parking. Nice restrooms that are kept tidy and stocked.
