What a great new salon to the downtown PT area. Place is clean, organized, and professional. Absolutely love the fact as a man, that when I go for a haircut it includes a shampoo too. Top notch… would highly recommend anyone to trust this place for their salon needs.

I do not recommend Sonal from Sola Salon. I got my hair color and haircut done by Sonal. Though she seemed a really sweet person, she isn’t skilled enough as a hairstylist. I requested for a dark brown or mahogany color instead of my light copper hair color, she gave me two options - one was the lightest brown almost close to blonde, and the other was darkest brown almost black. When I told her I didn’t want either of these colors she decided to mix both colors. As a result my hair became very very dark (it literally looks black). After the color was done, I told her that I wasn’t happy with this color. She insisted that I wait for few washes for this color to wash out and become lighter. And that it was looking black because of the light in her studio. Apparently it would look light brown in the sunlight. I waited 3 weeks to write this review- my hair is still as black as it was on the day she colored it and it looks black under the sun as well. Now, about the haircut, I wanted to shorter fringes but she insisted that I get longer bangs as that will look good on me. It did not!!! Long story short - she is a nice person but the most skilled hairstylist out there. You should probably wait it out until you get an appointment from other senior stylists rather than going to her. If you go to her, you will end up paying the same price but receive poor service. When I complained to her she kept saying I needed hair correcting etc but she never mentioned this before the service was done.

Please keep yourself as much as possible from this place especially do not get any service from Sujana Gurung unless you want to make yourself miserable.

This collection of specialists makes it feel like I walked into a dreamland. Moment of Truth was a great little Salon within the collective, and Darryl is simply the best. (With VERY reasonable prices for their services.) I don't get to Seattle very often, but when I do I'll look forward to coming back here.

Morgan (Manes by Morgan) is excellent for both men and women. Her rates are very reasonable. All the stylists are independent. I have no experience with any other stylist here.

This was my first time having a man deal with my hair. I am AMAZED at how well Michael duplicated my vision. It has been weeks since I went to his salon and I still wake up every day, thanking my lucky stars that I went to see Michael! I love my hair again!!!

After several bad experiences at other salons, I came to Kince at Salon De Vera to fix my short haircut. He is FANTASTIC! Gave me exactly what I wanted and even fixed some of the damage from previous cuts. I will never go anywhere else.

Michael Wayne Roth of this salon is a charlatan! Sure, he may have had some luck in the past with clients whose hair he didn't ruin. I consider them very lucky. However, the only thing he's proven to me that he's good at is talking a good game, often saying he's awesome & that he can do anything with hair. In fact, during my appointment, he told me that other hairstylist in Seattle are, "half trained half-wits," implying that he's better. He ruined my hair right before Christmas. I needed a hairstylist to highlight my long & dark (black) hair. Someone recommended him to me. I looked him up & he appeared to have good reviews. However, I didn't look closely. If I had I would've saw that they're from a long time ago. But I needed an appointment on a certain day. So I was elated when he called me back right away & that his schedule was free evening though it's the holiday season. In spite of this, I went to him for a full set of highlights in the colors of "light brown" & "ash blonde." Instead, however, the end results were reds, orange, & yellows. In addition to turning my hair the wrong colors, he also only highlighted my roots leaving the rest of my long hair black. So now I have about 3-inches of highlighted hair along my roots in the wrong colors & nearly 12-inches of black hair. The look is a terrible one & he knew it. Nobody has a hairstyle like that on purpose! He claimed that it was my fault. It's his belief that I lied & that I didn't tell him I colored my hair previously. He believes that it's because I previously colored my hair that it didn't take the color to lighten it. The fact is, I did tell him I previously colored my hair. I have no reason to lie about it as it gives me no advantage. Beside, every professional hair stylist I've dealt with has always been able to look & feel my hair, then tell whether or not I colored it. And being the professional, he should have tested my hair first before making such a drastic change. He did nothing to check my hair & ignored my answer to his question. Now he's calling me a liar to place blame on me. Furthermore, he had no explanation as why my virgin hair along my roots didn't come out the colors we agreed upon either. The hair along my roots should have been the colors we discussed, but they're not. My photo says it all. Clearly he can't color dark hair. At least not to the specific colors you want, other than red, orange and yellow. Regardless of his excuses, he botched my hair. Yet he tells me, "I botched my own hair." And perhaps I did, by going to him. I wrote him a text after Christmas to which I politely explained the situation & asked for a refund. His immediate responses to my text were, "Absolutely no refund" & "I'm not one to mess with" & "I have an amazing attorney." All this simply because I told him I'm not satisfied with my highlights & requested a refund. I do, after all, have to payout again to correct his mistake. Needless to say, it was a shocking response to what I thought was initially a nice & reasonable person. Even now he continues to attack me with insults and lies. For example, he accuses me of being a "bad" client by being late for the appointment. But in truth I was 10 minutes early & I have the parking pass to prove it. Also, he got upset with me for using the bathroom during the appointment ... who does that? I have the text, photos, & other things to prove what I say. Before booking, please ask yourself is this the kind of business or person you want to deal with? I hope you'd want someone who you can trust & who can honor & provide quality goods & services. What you don't want is what I got. Reputable businesses & people would usually apologize for their customers dissatisfaction rather than attack & accuse. They'd offer a resolution; even a refund. Michael Wayne Roth did neither. If he had, I wouldn't still be so upset with this whole situation, despite him ruining my hair. I'd really think twice before booking with him.
