As of the beginning of this year I've been a patron of Soma Spa to help treat in-grown hairs on my face. Since then I've been experiencing fewer in-groans and continue to see significant improvement in my skin's complexion and texture! In the past I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on facial treatments and products to help prevent and/or reduce my skin issues. Up until three years I was seeing a dermatologist who basically told me there was nothing he, or any product or person could do to correct my skin. Dramatic pause. As a black man with sensitive skin it is incredibly challenging to find products and services that cater to melanin skin. Prior to scheduling my first appointment, I stalked Soma's Instagram page for a few months! Apart from the advance tools and custom products offered by Soma, I noticed a diverse portfolio of clientele with similar or worse skin issues. Literally the most relaxing facial and experience ever. When you walk in they offer you water or green tea. Venessa the owner greeted me and brought me to my room and was so nice. Amyah was my esthetician and was so thorough during my facial. I was offered a complimentary laser service as well. The best part was I did not feel pressured to do anything I didn’t want to and they were genuinely so sweet. They’ve gained a repeat customer for sure.

My skin is very sensitive and my facial was customized for my sensitive skin. After this customized facial my skin began clearing within a few days. Soma Spa is one of my top favorite places in NY!! I travel from Connecticut to see my facialist. I had nothing but a great experience there, and I’ve been a customer for 1 year now. They really explain and customized your treatment and give your the best advice for your skin needs. My skin feels amazing and was glowing for a week every time I do an oxygen Hydra facial. Soma Spa is a must visit, highly recommend and worth every penny!

Soma Spa with Vanessa is an unforgettable experience! Vanessa is truly the Pat McGrath of Skincare! She is extremely knowledgeable and kind which makes you feel so comfortable. I've been getting her Soma Glow facials every two months and it really cleared up my acne! I've seen a huge improvement of my skin's overall texture. She tops it off with her divine caviar mask that will leave your skin glowing for an entire week! It's worth every dime. She is the only person I can trust with my skin. Forever thankful. Best spa in NYC!

Extremely disappointing experience. Please do not be fooled by the “on point” Instagram they run. Vanessa Marc who owns the business is unprofessional, cold and clearly shows no care for the the clients. Her assistant Amyah is very sweet. Not worth the price point (it’s ain’t cheap).

Had a great experience. I was visiting from Spain. I highly recommend them. Super clean, staff is very nice and sweet, and was greeted with a warm welcome. They sucked out all the impurities out of my skin and customize my facial to what my skin needed. Best facial in town. Can’t wait to return.

My experience at Soma Spa was AMAZING. The atmosphere is so calm and welcoming. Vanessa is very professional and extremely knowledgeable when to comes to wellness, health, and skin care. She answered all of my questions prior to getting my laser treatments and addressed any concerns that I had. I love the fact that she is current and relevant when it comes to skin care, skin products, and over all wellness. I would highly recommend Soma Spa to anyone who is looking to leave the spa feeling their BEST from the inside out!!!

Please do not waste your money here. Such poor customer service and bad vibes all around. Vanessa is extremely rude and dismissive. The facial last about 30 mins and 10000% not worth the money.

Wish I had read the reviews beforehand. Vanessa has all the warmth of an ice cap and the facial, if it can be called that lasted 20 mins. Definitely feels like a scam. I will not be returning and advise others to stay away
