Bought the couples massage which included a foot detox and facial. Fabiola was amazing, she was not only great with her hands but very pleasant to talk with. She was one of the nicest persons I have ever had a massage by. She made sure the room was comfortable temperature and asked how I was feeling throughout the session to make sure I didn’t need anything more. The facial was amazing as well. The other staff i encountered during my foot detox were also all very friendly and checked on me to make sure I didn’t need anything else. I will definitely be returning!

I had always had problems with constipation since I was a teenager and after I had my first Colonic treatment almost a year ago, I noticed a big difference, precisely with the supplements she recommended I finally managed to find balance in my bathroom routine. This treatment is game change and Levina has a lot of knowledge about and always can recommend a good routine to keep healthy and relieved.Thank you!

I don't usually write public reviews but I am making an exception. I have been searching for a facility that offers colonic therapy ever since the premier center in Brighton closed. recently discovered Southwest Day Spa in Brookline, MA. The staff was professional and attentive, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The colonic therapy was thorough and effective, and the massage was truly rejuvenating. I wholeheartedly recommend Southwest Day Spa . The service exceeded expectations. I felt relaxed, refreshed and completely satisfied.

Addendum to my original review - in response to their reply: I am truly grateful I trusted my instincts and intuition and protected myself from this so-called business. I have come to know much more, upon doing more research, reading other concerning reviews, and my personal interactions with Maria G. She only extended the walk-in option AFTER I posted my review. Not a coincidence. I did not reply to that e-mail, therefore to have them say I declined is simply not true. A majority of businesses may require a credit card upon making the reservation, but would not process it until after the services rendered, or would use it if a cancellation is within a short window. This business clearly does not trust their customers and that is a huge red flag. Others who may have been a no-show very likely had a valid reason. Again, please proceed with caution. Their small team is severely lacking in business common sense and customer service acumen, not to mention their subpar skills, as shared by numerous clients. They are not savvy business leaders, but a poorly run team that needs basic training in respect and wellness. I am happy to take my business elsewhere (scheduled already) and I urge others to do the same. This business feels questionable. ________ Horrible and unprofessional experience with customer service (Maria G.) in setting up the appointment and I'm so glad I did not schedule. I was interested in two particular spa treatments and as a first-time customer, I was looking forward to meeting Levina. I was told she is off until the end of March. I was then open to scheduling with someone else (Manuela). However, since I had never been there before, I did not feel comfortable with having everything pre-paid. Most businesses do not demand this of their clients. When I told Maria G. that I would rather pay after receiving the spa treatments, with a generous tip, she showed no flexibility and even less warmth. Upon looking deeper into reviews and feedback for this place, I am glad I did not ultimately come here, as business practices seem extremely shady, unprofessional, and honestly questionable. They also never pick up the phone and have an apparent reputation for being impolite to clients and falling short of their expectations. Please use caution.

Can't really rate the spa itself as I was unable to make my appointment, just be aware they charge full price for no-shows/last-minute cancellations (they tell you this when you book). What I felt was odd was that I was guilted for my last-minute cancellation (5min before start of appointment & charged in full), even though I explained the situation had been out of my hands, was very apologetic and said upfront that I was totally comfortable with them cancelling and charging me in full. I would have been fine with being either chastised OR charged in full for the appointment I missed, but getting both felt a bit much. They also never answer their phone, which is frustrating - everything is booked via text and thus felt a little unprofessional given the prices. EDIT: In response to the owner's reply to me below, this would make complete sense were it not for the fact that you were paid in full for the entire time of the session. You didn't lose any sales, and it is disingenuous to answer this as if you had not been paid for your time. As mentioned in the review, I have no issue at all with the need to charge full price for no-shows; I do take issue with being rude about it.

I received the "Great Escape" Package as a gift, along with a pedi and mani for mothers day. It was the most wonderful experience i've had at a spa. It included a facial, body scrub and massage by Fabiola and a pedi and mani by Levina. It was the most amazing/relaxing time I’ve had in a long time, both ladies did a fantastic job. This package lasted about 4 hours and included lunch. The decor was upscale and modern and the showers and products were clean and high quality. Staff is very professional and friendly and go out of the way to make you feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Southwest Day Spa and am looking forward to going back! I have been going for 3 years now, still the best spa!

I don’t know who runs the messenger but they have been beyond a amazing asked a million questions and answered all within hours so accommodating and offers so many amazing services love this place happy to bring my business here for a long time to come

Went for an iconic footbath. There was no explanation to remove metal jewelry, bath was cold, the employee couldn't speak English, and the other team members were very cold and short. It felt like my friend and I were an inconvenience. Will never go back.

Worst place I have ever visited here in the US! This place is clearly a scam! I asked the owner if she could do a package deal for me for body wax and deep pore cleansing. She agreed and asked me to buy a gift card worth $50. I bought it and booked an appointment (for $500). The service lady was continuously asking me to get the front body waxed this month and get the back section done next month (this was so senseless!). Also, she was so harsh with her waxing technique that when i got home and washed my face, i found that she burnt my skin on the upper lip area. For the deep pore cleansing, she continuously insisted that I should take the light therapy (for an additional price). I also booked a separate nail appointment with them the same day, but only after reaching there did they tell me they don't have equipment to do the nail service (that was so stupid and super frustrating)! I paid the full amount after the service ( I did not use my gift card that day). I conveyed all service-related issues to the owner, and to my surprise, she got so furious and defensive that she started blaming me for not liking their services. She even canceled my gift card (without me even knowing it) to adjust the remaining cost because I asked her that I would not continue with the package deal because their service was bad. I don't understand why they are so shady with the communication?! Such rude customer service, and they work on their own terms. The owner tricked me and canceled my $50 gift card, and I only got to know of that when I tried booking a massage appointment for a friend. They are clearly greedy and not really interested in the quality they provide. PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! Will never recommend it to anyone! Save your money; There are much better and cheaper places in Cambridge!

I had a hot stone massage at this spa. Service tech was professional, friendly, accommodating (I changed my day/time) and did a great job. I was offered water or tea afterwards. I go to many spas in different states and I would definitely recommend this one for a massage service.

I was nervous going to this place but once I was inside, I was at peace once I entered. It was very calming with an atmosphere for relaxation. My technician was knowledgeable and friendly. I was embarrassed to expose myself for the wax services I had chosen. The tech helped me feel so at ease that I felt like I could trust her and that meant everything to me. I highly recommend. Only wish she had a secretary to help her. Ill definitely be back for routine treatments.

I got a Brazilian for men and it was quick and comfortable. Very nice place, never felt rushed, and communication was 10/10 Levina is the best!! Definitely coming back .

Southwest Spa is extremely clean and it is relaxing. The music is conducive to helping one unwind. The spa tables are heated and very comfortable. Lavinia goes out of her way to ensure comfort and a peaceful environment for clients.

This place is not what it appears to be. It is a really cramped up space and far from a spa. They rush through all the services, called me that someone cancelled. The facial was the worst I ever had in my life. I felt mislead and ripped off. Never again, please, waste your money elsewhere. Why do people think it is okay to rush you through an appointment and you spend your hard earned dollars for that kind of treatment. So disappointed in their dishonesty about services and being charged for bad ones.

In town for a long weekend. We knew exploring outside today would be difficult due to the nor’easter, so we decided to find a spa and relax, instead. Southwest day spa provided us with superior quality massage therapists, effective communication, and a safe/relaxing environment. Would recommend to anyone!
