The Grand Sierra never disappoints!! It’s our favorite place to go when we visit Reno for quick weekend getaway or our last stop from a camping vacation to end with a relaxing weekend with the awesome amenities!! The spa is a must ! We loved our massages when we visited for our anniversary this year last July and this past weekend I would have loved another massage especially coming over from our Christmas week in Yosemite of hiking & snow shoeing I could have used it. Next time in March for sure we will!! We like to come visit about 2 times a year but this time of year after Christmas & before the new year was such a treat, they decorated everything so beautifully!! My only disappointment is I forget to get a club card every time because we’re so busy enjoying ourselves . Thank you GSR for another wonderful weekend!! Happy New Year!!

The head spa is a salon treatment done in front of house within their hair/nail by the front desk and is not an actual spa treatment. Shampoo basins are too tall (made for a man’s height), positioned to sit near upright, and are uncomfortable for an hour. Bright, noisy, not private… salon, not a spa. Front desk staff is audible chatting and checking in customers. Great concept but not relaxing nor worth the price due to the setting. It’s a $130 salon shampoo and deep condition. Wonderful spa staff across the board, but mgmt needs to be transparent regarding their services and set their staff up for success. This service should cost the equivalent of a pedicure until it is moved to a private spa room with a more comfortable chair and wash basin.

We had a wonderful spa day at the GSR today. All the staff were great! Krystina our concierge was extremely professional and friendly and my esthetician Donna gave me an amazing arnica wrap and facial. I also loved that the facilities were very relaxing and not at all overcrowded which can happen at the other spas in town. We will definitely be back to enjoy this spa!

The first time I went there my service was at 9AM, I got there early only to have to wait until they opened the doors at 9AM. Today, I got there at 9AM and was rudely "greeted" by the gal at the front desk saying that since I chose to arrive at my appointment time I needed to hurry up. She rushed me through paperwork (not even having me actually fill it out because it would "take too long") and rushed me to the back since I had arrived at my service time. I pologized and explained what had happened last time, yet she was very dismissive, saying that they open at 8:45AM. (Online it says 9AM so they should change that if their staff are going to be rude about it and tell people they are wrong!) The massage also felt rushed and everyone just made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Which is unfortunate because I had a great experience my first time here... and being someone with autism, I really struggle doing things on my own and this experience today left me feeling stressed out and more unrelaxed than before. Not sure if I will be back...

3 of us in our group enjoyed pedicures. From the reservation process to the pedicures, the staff were attentive and friendly. It was a relaxing pedicure sitting in the massage chairs. I even enjoyed a complimentary mimosa.

My mom loved 🥰 her spa day here. She got a massage 💆‍♀️ & enjoyed the sauna 🧖‍♀️. Will be back to check out the other prices here when I want to have a spa date 📆 with my husband.

YOU CAN USE THE SPA AMENITIES ALL DAY if you have a service booked there. Randy the massage therapist was awesome highly recommend him! Sauna and Steam room and jacuzzi all excellent. A fantastic Spa experience.

I showed up in the morning busted from a hard night of celebrating my birthday and walked out like a brand new human! The lounge was peaceful and stocked with everything I needed, from fresh snacks to tea. The spa attendant was kind, knowledgeable, and downright hilarious. She made the entire experience even better and treated me in a way where I felt safe, taken care of, and like she was an old friend. I had the CBD massage with a pedicure right after, and they were both fantastic. The masseuse and nail technicians were so professional and did wonderful work. The best part of the whole day was plopping face first into their loungers in the Relaxation room and sleeping off the last bit of tequila trying to escape my pores with the soft sound of the waterfalls in the background. (Everyone does it according to the spa attendant, so it's definitely not weird!) Would 100% recommend after a night out... or any other day of the week!

So I recently stayed here for a to get some R&R and decided to enjoy the Spa for the whole day. I booked the Grand Massage w/ dry brushing. The service itself was wonderful, the experience a little less then. I'm a bigger girl and had I known the robs only go to 2XL, I would have brought my own. No one showed me into the woman's locker and there was no signs posted on how to work the lockers, like the guy said there was lol so that was fun figuring out. You get a drink when you book a service, yet no one offered and there was no female host around to get my order and my shyness stopped me from going to the front so yeah I had my drink to go. It just felt very impersonal and here you go. When I was explaining my situation to the gentleman up front... he just stroked his hair and gave the most disconcerting stance... so I just went on my way. Oh well 🤷‍♀️ what do you do. 😒

The SPA and Staff at the Grand Sierra Resort Are Totally Awesome and Truly Amazing All In One Helping!!! The SPA’s Ambience and Creativity Is Certainly Something Worth Taking In!! It has sooo much Calm and Peaceful Energy That Makes You want to stay in this Treasure SPA All Day and Night!! The Incredible and Wonderful Staff helped make my visit at the SPA worth coming back to!!! Most Noteworthy was My SPA Experience with Ms Leslie, who gave me an incredible walk through of all the amazing Amenities of the SPA Facilities. She is totally Awesome.!! And I would like to give an Awesome Shoutout To My Massage Therapist/Masseur, Lloyd, Who proved to be the Bestest Massage Therapist That I have had the opportunity to service me!! His Touch Is Simply Wonderful and his Skills and Quite Incredible!! Also A Special Thanks To The SPA Front Receptionist, Gloria who was the Rock of This Fantastic Journey of A Day!! The staff and the amenities at the spa are amazing. My friend and I had a wonderful time experiencing it. Currently GSR has a special that you get 35% off spa treatments if you were a Nevada or California resident. I am a California resident so I was able to utilize this. If I had known that, I would’ve done an 80 minute massage instead of a 50 because it was so good . The only reason I gave this a four is because The fitness center that you have access to with enjoying the spa is also the same fitness center for all the occupants of the hotel. It is not big enough. Things were broken. The Wi-Fi was horrendous. I’m an avid Peloton user and I was excited to see two bikes there, but one bike didn’t work at all and the other bike wouldn’t connect to the Internet because how bad the Wi-Fi was.

My daughter and I had a not so grand experience. We both had a hydro facial and $600 later wished we had spent our hard earned money and time someplace else, for example Atlantis. From the moment we were greeted by the boy at the front desk that was odd and uncomfortable, to being taken back to the locker room was just down hill from there. I was informed that my appointment was first and there was no need for me to change my clothes, as my daughter was left to figure out the locker and the amenities herself as I was rushed down the hall and immediately was asked if I wanted to purchase the $80 additional charge for below my chin. I didn’t know what she was talking about at first and said no. She said ok, you can leave all your clothes on and just be sure to take your shoes off and pull the sheet up to your shoulders, and I’ll be right outside the door. The facial began and what was uncomfortable and unusual is she didn’t use any type of steamer so my face, as well as my daughters face was full of red patches everywhere from her forcing non stop. I was expecting something very different after reading the rave reviews. So needless to say we will never be back to this goat rodeo again.

I go here once a week and just chill out in the lounge. $40 all day, use of all facilities and a peaceful and relaxing lounge to work from.

Not bad, but not great. Massage was about average - not worth the high price. The “relaxation room” is incredibly noisy. There’s some kind of massive active warehouse or something above it, and the banging, booming and scraping is non stop. The rest of the amenities are nice, and overall it was a good experience, just not worth the price I paid.

Overall, the massage and Spa were good. Certainly not Vegas quality however. The check out process was a mess. The one person at the desk was on the phone with presumably a customer, and I waited 16 minutes before she waited on me. She should have done one of two things: 1. She should have helped me while on the phone, 2. She should have called for help. The one thing you need to FIX is, when the massage tech is telling you about all the upgrades and creating chit chat, the customer should NOT be charged for this time in the 50 minute massage time allotted. I was, so my massage was 40 minutes (not 50) since she talked for 10 minutes at the beginning. This is a REAL issue and should be addressed by senior management.

Parking sucks. 45-1hr check in when they’re busy. I hate the new elevators it crams people in to one elevator. But not all towers have them. Over all it’s a great place to stay. Rooms are nice and clean.

I just had the best massage at the GSR Spa. Ellie was my masseuse and she was wonderful. The spa has a beautiful atmosphere and with your service you bye full use of the facilities such as the sauna, etc. If you’re looking for a little relaxation while you’re there, I highly recommend the Spa.

I was very disappointed with this spa. You definitely don’t feel like a VIP when you go there. I was guided by a man to the door of the locker room and told to go find my locker number. It was a busy change room. The locker had the expected robe & shoes. However, there wasn’t any instruction on how to lock the locker and I was left to figure out on my own how it worked. There was a hot tub, showers and dry & wet sauna. It said eucalyptus sauna but there was no eucalyptus at all, nor spray bottle. There was no pleasant music playing or any music at all. It felt more like a gym locker room. I was greeted by the massage gal and taken to her massage room. Sadly this massage gal did not take the time to understand my preferences and I received a generic massage even after explaining my needs. She spent much of my massage time adjusting the bed. In addition, I could hear lots of noise in the hallways over and above the spa music she had playing. It was supposed to be aromatherapy massage but all she did at the beginning was put her hands by my nose & told me to smell it. Not very relaxing. Afterwards I was not greeted with a glass of water or anything. I had to ask for water and was led to a co-ed lobby where she pointed to a water jug and then left me there. I had to figure out how to get back to the women’s locker on my own. If you are ok with an experience like this then you you will like this spa. I however will not be back for the $186 price tag because they add on 20% to your bill for a tip. I expressed my disappointment to the front desk and received a brief apology and was told they “will mention it to them.” (I’m not sure who “them” is?) No discount given and I was sent on my way. Not very good customer service. On a positive note it was very clean.

This spa compared to others in the area leaves a lot to be desired. Customer service is just okay and amenities are lacking. My massage room was not sound-proofed at all and I could hear people chatting loudly in the hallway for about half of my 80-minute massage. My massage therapist and I must've had a miscommunication because she ended up just massaging one side of my back the entire time and barely massaging any other part of my body which was extremely disappointing considering the price. Would highly recommend taking your money elsewhere.

Been here a few times and it's amazing. The massages, atmosphere and staff are fantastic. The website, phone lines and appointments are very hard to get. Was on hold for 45 minutes last time. Tried booking an upcoming service and was unable to as the hold time was too long and stopped trying online booking after 4 server errors. I'm hoping it gets better in the future. Staff shortages are a real problem every where so I'm being patient and will try again soon. Great place though!

Purchased giftcards for wife and daughter services were good but the front desk was very unfriendly. Ashley and arian were not good representatives of the service we have received in past. The estheticians were fantastic
