I highly recommend the spa at the JW, specifically Arielle and Emily at the desk. They were very helpful and guided me to the last available appointment of the day with Denise! The massage was fantastic and reinvigorating, complete with CBD infused oil and focus on my areas of greatest need!

Alas, my review is not for the actual spa or spa services themselves. It is for three lovely women that helped another woman in need. I was at the JW for a work event, but was staying at another place about a mile away. This work event started in the morning and lasted well into the evening which is not anything new in my line of business, however this time I was contending with the need to find time and space to pump breast milk for my 3 month old. For those of you reading this review that have had to contend with travel while pumping and can relate to how annoying, frustrating, and stressful it can be, you know what a relief it is to find a dedicated space to complete this task. When I stopped by the front desk of the hotel to ask if there was a mother’s room, I was honestly a bit surprised that the answer was “no”. But the woman there thought about it and suggested I try the spa and she called up to give them a heads up that I would be on my way. I was welcomed by the front desk staff and was offered spa water. By the second day of this ritual I was becoming a “regular” there, and even though it was different staff members than the day before, they were equally welcoming. So a big shoutout to Emily and Arielle (and the woman with dark hair from the first day whose name I didn’t catch!) for helping another woman in her time of need. I cannot express enough through a review the overwhelming sense of gratitude that I felt to these strangers for opening their doors to another (non-paying!?) stranger to help. I believe there is a special place in heaven for women who help other women, and I imagine we’ll see these three ladies there. :) In all seriousness though, if I had the time to partake in the services there, I absolutely would have. It was a serene and beautiful space, and I can imagine their service translates to a beautiful spa experience. Thank you again Emily, Arielle, and the other front desk staff at the spa from the bottom of this tired working mom’s heart. Your kindness means more than you will know.

Arielle made me feel like royalty! After a long training walk/run she set me up with a compression boots session that re-energized my legs & feet. Arielle was welcoming, attentive and surprised and delighted us with a few little extras. Much thanks to the SPA and Arielle for today’s session.

I had a wonderful experience getting an 80 minute massage at JWMarriot Spa. The staff Elisa, Arielle, and Chris were super nice and helpful. The massage therapist, Denise, was perfection. She asked how the massage pressure was and adjusted accordingly. She also spent extra time in trouble areas where I had tight muscles. A truly wonderful massage! I felt completely rejuvenated. I will be buying some gift cards for my family so that they too can experience total relaxation in a relaxing environment with amazing staff!

Stunning spa! We spent 3 hours just relaxing pre and post our massages. They had chocolate covered raisins, nuts, tea, infused water, and warm lavender neck pads. My prenatal massage was 10/10 and my girls got aromatherapy ones and stress relief. Spa went above and beyond, highly recommend.

Thip & Justin were wonderful during our couples stress relief massage. The atmosphere was relaxing and they were very attentive to our needs. The massage was wonderful as was all of the pre and post spa treatments. We were well taken care of and everything was well thought out.

Excellent Spa! I was in town and was able to book a last minute Intense Muscle massage with Thip. It was honestly one of the best massages I’ve had! The spa itself is small but cozy , clean and comfortable. The massage rooms are quiet with very comfortable beds and linens. Although it was cold the day I visited, there’s a nice outdoor pool with great views of downtown Austin. The front desk curator Arielle was so incredibly kind and helpful. I felt so welcomed! I’m excited to get back and book another treatment! Thanks so much for the great experience!

Justin gave me an awesome massage and really helped work out the tension in my shoulders. The spa atmosphere is great and the staff and friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

$100 nail service and she didn’t takeoff the dead skin, didn’t pushback the cuticles or removed them. Reshaped & shorten my nails into a hard uneven square. This wasn’t good. 😭😔 I’m so disappointed. I had such high hopes. I have to go somewhere else and get them redone. Update: The manager (I believe) reached out and offered a redo. I was going to take her up on it, but thought the better of it. Personally, pedicures aren’t something I take lightly being that carelessness can have deep consequences. I’d like to give them grace and say it was a “off day” 🤷‍♂️ Good luck!

I was visiting Austin this past weekend and went in for a mani pedi and within 2 short days my polish on finger nails started coming off and I was lied to and told it lasts 3 weeks ,which is so not the truth

Not a good experience. They don’t have much selection in colors. They don’t use long lasting gel. They claimed their product was the best and lasted over 3 weeks. It’s been less than 2 days and our polish is chipping off. Nail techs did not seem to know what they were doing. Will never go back. Don’t waste your money. You can get a much better quality mani pedi for half the price at any top nail salon .

I had the rose body treatment and it exceeded my expectations. I believe the person who gave me my treatment was Sara. The dry brush was amazing and left my skin feeling so smooth. The massage was so relaxing and special attention to my neck, shoulders, scalp and feet completed this wonderful treatment. Highly recommend this.

Amazing massage and the first facial I have ever fallen asleep too! They didn’t try to upsell products or push anything following services. Products were high quality and each experience was top tier. Would highly recommend to spoil yourself or someone you love ❤️

This spa does not have any amenities. No sauna, steam room or jacuzzi. Definitely can’t do a spa day. If you are looking for just a massage and then to leave like massage envy, this is your place.

I have been getting massages for 12 years, and Denise is the best masseuse I have ever had. She started the massage with the best smelling aromatherapy and hot towels. I’m not sure what method she used on my back but it was the most helpful for my back issues, and it felt like exactly what the muscles around my spine and shoulder blades needed. I can’t wait to come back.

I realize that this review is LONG OVERDUE. Last year I took a trip to Austin, TX to celebrate my birthday. I was gifted a message and my appointment was with Denise at the JW Marriott Spa. Denise gave me one of the best (if not THE BEST) massage and spa treatments of my life. She worked out all of the kinks, there was aromatherapy, she helped me to quiet my mind and she was very kind, her energy was good. After the massage I did get a sip of champagne, but I fell right asleep in the recovery room. It was a perfect birthday gift to kick off my birthday weekend. Now I'm home, debating if I should take the chance to have another spa experience like that one here at the JW in my city... If she is still at this spa, you have to do it. Denise is the bar, she set the standard high. Don't tell my Charlotte masseuse that I've written this review, but its well deserved and long overdue. I left feeling like I could take on the world... and I did!... Well at least I took on Austin for the weekend! Thank you Denise and Q.S. for the massage.

This was a really nice and relaxing spa. Anne Marie was excellent, she listened intently to anything you wanted/did not want and pressure was great. If I had known how amazing she was I would have booked a longer massage! I did the 50 minute relaxation one. The only reason I am leaving off a star is that they do not have a steam room, sauna or much else other than the services. They do offer drinks and a really nice waiting room. The gym here is great as well, very nice with a lot of equipment options. We received a gift card while booking our hotel room for a massage service and after the fact they would not accept it. We are still confused why this was the case and management is working out details/updates still. Hoping they will accept it, we shall see. They did offer us a % off for the inconvenience. Other than that the experience was really nice and I will be back when we are in town.

Great service and enjoyed the couples massage with my wife. I had high expectations and the JW itself but was disappointed. If you want the full spa experience you may want to go somewhere else...no steam no whirlpool..no need to arrive early

I had attended the mastermind for The Life Coach School at the hotel in April and decided it would be a nice treat to get a massage. I booked it for the following day and come prepared to fully relax. The location is stunning and super welcoming and clean in the lobby. I was asked if I wanted something to drink, which I say sure. The young lady brought me a "sip" of champagne and said she will return since the bottle was out. She said "if they come and get you, I will bring it to you in the back" Well, that never happen, she never brought it or upon checkout, never addressed it again. Next, I walked into the back and was given a some time to enjoy the lounge. It was lovely but very short lived. I literally just sat down and they called me :( I was told to go into the changing room and get comfortable, so I did. I showered and got into a rube. I was then asked to follow the lady who did my massage. I informed her on my forms that I enjoy deep tissue massage and she said "great, lets start". On multiple occasions I asked her to apply more pressure to which she told me she did, she additionally had a slight attitude. I realized that it was a lost cause and just left it along. When it ended, I thanked her and walked to pay at the front. I was told that a 20% tip was already allocated towards my bill. My massage was $155 (Stress Relief) with an additional $31 for a tip that I didn't agree to. Finally, upon checking out, the computer system was down, as it was the day before when I booked the appointment. The front desk personal, asked me to leave my card number on a piece of paper for her to process my payment after the system was refreshed. Am sorry WHAT? Needless to say, I didn't leave my card and sat there waiting to pay after the system came back online. I would have not expected this experience at the JW Marriott Hotel.
