The two of us both had a great experience at Spa Del Mar. Yes the decor could do with a little refreshing, but the important thing- the massage was fantastic. The therapists we each had were professional, experienced, and able to adapt the massage to our individual needs. We paid for an hour massage and got a full hour. No set up and clean up time. Rooms perfect temp and the table warmed also. The hot foot towels were over the top!!! We felt very special. Thanks Spa Del Mar.

What a treat! From the beautiful ambience to the most comfortable robes, and of course the amazing body works! I typically don't fall asleep for massage but I admit I did here. Good products and the warmth of the masseuse top notch!

My husband and I both went for a full body one hour massage. For the price we both expected a thorough massage, but we both felt we were cut short. An hour was a perfect amount of time but I left feeling pain in my back because it wasn’t rubbed out the way I expected during a full body massage.The masseuse were nice, but the overall quality didn’t meet our expectations.

Really bad deep tissue massage. My husband was so disappointed that he was spent an hour of his vacation time on this. There was nothing deep tissue about this.

Got a couple's massage with the wifey. Chelsea was my massage therapist. She was absolutely amazing. She massaged out all the pain. Chelsea is one of two massage therapist that have actually massaged the pain away. My wife had Silvia and said she was amazing. Everyone was professional and they took care of business.

I would have given this one star had the facial not been spectacular. The massage was awful She jerked me around and there was no fluidity at all. She kinda even scratched me at times with her nails and it was like she was just trying to rub in the oil the whole time not massage my muscles. The ambiance was lacking - like Walmart decor and it’s EXTREMELY overpriced. The facialist was incredible though and did an amazing amazing job. She deserves to be in a much better spa.

My wife and I had a couples massage scheduled and unfortunately had to cancel it at the last minute due to an emergency. The staff was understanding and allowed us to cancel/reschedule with no penalty. 5 star review for their understanding and customer service!

Probably one of the best massages I ever have had when on vacation in early September. Julie Lindner was amazing, gentle and strong, friendly but quiet. I was extra exhausted going in and VOILA--an hour later I was refreshed and revitalized! Thanks Julie!

I don't pamper myself all that often... I'm young, I'm busy, and I'm broke! However, a few months ago, to my horror, I started noticing that my skin was reverting back to those horrible pimply high school days. I was breaking out! I tried my usual stuff, to no avail, and that's when I heard about Spa Del Mar's Free and Clear Purifying Facial (no, it's not free..) from a friend. So, I decided to spend the afternoon pampering myself! I went in early and hung out on their great little patio, relaxing and preparing for my zit attack. Potanjee took excellent care of me! She was thorough, professional, and amazing. After, I asked her how to keep my skin glowing zit free, and she recommended a few products from the spa. I've been using them regularly, and I'm thrilled to say I've left high school behind... again!

My bestie Sue said to spoil myself with a massage at Santa Barbara Spa Del Mar on the beachfront. Seriously, why should the tourists have all the fun? I called up for a massage and was offered deep tissue for a bit more. I love the therapeutic benefits of deep tissue so I upgraded. When I arrived at the Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort from work with my shoulder bag of massage clothes, I found the spa right by the pool area. It was so cheerful and started my mini vacation off on the right foot! My masseuse turned out to be the owner Julie. She knows the definition of deep tissue. I'd been having low grade neck pain and she spent time on my neck and I'm typing this pain free. Her hands were intuitive and I think she has excellent skills. One of the biggest surprises and pleasures was the use of hot towels. When they went on my back I melted happily and when they went on my feet I floated. Oh and can I tell you that I'm the girl that gets cold easily and they had a heated table. Yum. This is why you go to a really good spa. For the beauty of the decor that relaxes you and pampers your eyes. Then for the high level of skill and the special spa treats like the hot towels. Oh, and they have a cute little private patio to go hang out in. It would be so perfect for a group of women to have a pampering party. I'm really impressed with my spa massage, truly helped by the deep tissue method and letting you know you gotta go!

I organized a spa day for a bridal shower of 12 girls at the Spa Del Mar, Julie was extremely helpful in accommodating our large party. We had the spa to ourselves for 3 hours, and everyone who got a treatment raved about their experience. We were even given passes to use the hotel pool, which was great for people who didn't have or were waiting for treatments. I will definitely be back at the Spa Del Mar next time I am back in Santa Barbara!
