i LOVE spa sante! ever since i moved to new york 3 years ago, it has been my go to spot. they are very reasonably priced (which is hard to find in the city) and always do a good job. i usually go and see mandy, but all of the staff there does a phenomenal job and are very friendly. if you are looking for your next nail appointment, i highly recommend spa sante

I had a disappointing experience at this nail salon. Stay clear from this place!! They quoted me one price over the phone but overcharged me in person for gel removal, even though I already booked for gel manicure/gel pedicure service (this is the first time I've paid extra for gel removal when I was already getting a gel manicure and pedicure.). Additionally, after tipping, they complained that my tip was insufficient and pushed a "20% tipping policy," (although not stated anywhere in this establishment) which felt unreasonable and unprofessional. Overall, it was a mediocre experience marked by poor transparency and customer service.

I have been to Spa Sante three times, the first two times for dip and the third time is the pictured gel. Mandy does an amazing job and works very fast while I appreciate while still doing an awesome job. The space is comfortable and services are reasonably priced.

My nail tech was a vile human being and treated she like garbage from the moment I walked in. It was my first time here and the customer service was awful from the start. As soon as I walked it, I was met with with immediate disrespect. The nail tech who was supposed to do mani/pedi didn’t even have the decency to greet me when I walked in. Not even a simple hello. Just walked up to me and pointed towards the nail polish section with a smug expression on her face. She was very rude and unprofessional for no reason and continued on this way throughout my whole time there. Didn’t even walk me over to my chair and let me know where I needed to go or sit. I had to approach her and ask where I should sit. Even before my pedicure started she was talking on her phone yelling at whoever it was she was talking to in a loud, obnoxious, and once again unprofessional way. When she went to do the callous treatment during my pedicure, she didn’t even assess to see what areas on my foot even needed the callous treatment. She just took the very sharp tool and started hacking away on my foot without even really paying attention to what she was doing or even attempting to be careful. Only a few seconds in, she sliced the side of my foot and it started bleeding not to mention it was very painful. I barely got an apology when she sliced my foot. After all of that, there was no way I was going to let her touch my hands so I ended up only getting the pedicure which was arguably the worse I’ve even received in my life. I’ve never met this woman (she had short hair that was dyed an orange color) a day in my life until today and not only was she highly unprofessional and blatantly disrespectful to me from the moment I walked into the business, I’ve never been met with such hostile and vile behavior from a business. Needless to say, if you don’t want to be treated like garbage and don’t want your foot sliced open then avoid this place like the plague.

First off, the photos here do not match the aesthetic of the room I was in at all, looks completely different inside. But omg sorry I cannot come here ever again. I do feel bad writing this because my technician was sweet, but sooo rough with my hands - she cut every cuticle down so much that it broke into the skin on every finger, so I asked her to please be more gentle. She proceeded to file every fingernail SO harshly, filing over my raw and exposed cuticles she just cut, that multiple nails started bleeding, and then proceeded to douse them all in alcohol which stung badly. She also did the manicure so slowly, 2+ hours for a dip removal and new dip manicure (2+ hours is crazy.)

A hidden gem in NYC !! I have been going here for 3 years for gel nails and I occasionally go to another salon due to timing but always regret it! They do THE BEST QUALITY gel nails that last, the girls do beautiful work, my hands are not cute but the nails always look nice and last, also it’s cheap!

No frills and an excellent manicure! Really great job and listened to all my preferences - aka they did a perfect oval :) Prices I saw were $35 for mani pedi, 16$ for mani, 10$ for powder removal

4.5wks growth and not a single nail lifted! I got a gel manicure whilst on my holidays in New York, which was 4.5wks ago now..honestly the best most hard wearing mani ever. Such professional service and low price point considering the golden service received. Highly recommended 10/10. Lovely staff and lots of friendly chat. I even use a ton of chemicals in my work plus I do loads of cleaning so they should’ve been off by now but still going strong..can’t believe it! You can tell the owner who did my mani has been doing it for - very long time as she really really knows her stuff!! Tip your nail tech everyone! Thank you so much! Alexandra xx

I always get my nails done on the UES, but I was downtown and figured I would get my nails done there. I found this salon on google maps and gave it a try. I got a regular manicure which I thought was so great—very clean lines, shiny, no weird textures on the polish, and shaping my nails was great. I had dip powder on and they removed it for $10. They also do powder and mentioned the application is not thick (as I’ve had an issue with that elsewhere). The place is clean and they have good sanitary measures. You could tell they put effort into the space.

I've been coming to this salon for nine years. It's like a home away from home. Know all the girls and their stories and they know mine. But when it started out, the only people working there were two men. And even they were excellent. Some girls come and go, but Emma, the owner, always hires good people to do my mani pedi. I bring my friends and it's like a hang out. Like Dolly Parton's nail salon in Steel Magnolias. Every so often, I get a great massage from Emma. She's fabulous. I recommend it all.

I spent $45(tax and tip excluded) on SNS dipping powder and this supposed to last at least two weeks in general. However three days later, one nail came off and other nails started to get caught in my hair. Pictures showing the details of the work. And the service was not friendly, they’re very busy and rushing to get my nails done. And the cuticles tool looks not clean to me. I would not recommend this place.

I was hoping to give a better rating as I had an overall pleasant experience at Spa Sante but was disappointed by the quality of service and unclear pricing. The spa was clean, not busy, and the technicians were nice. I went in last week for a dip powder/SNS manicure and while the technician did a pretty good job, it took about 2 hours and she cut my cuticles way too much (they hurt for a dew days after and had some bleeding). Additionally, they listed SNS manicures as $45 (with tips $65), and though I only got one 'tip' on a nail that had broken, they charged me the full $65. Only about a week later, one of my nails has already chipped (unheard of for a fresh dip manicure), and the color is already lifting off my natural nails, which typically takes 3 weeks for me. Maybe it was a bad one-time experience, but I don't think I'll be going back.

Prettiest set of nail extension I ever got !! I had never been to this location before so I didn’t know what to expect, but the prices were SUPER reasonable ($65 w/o tip) — especially given that my nails were extremely short to begin with. I also got lucky & was taken care of immediately, without having to make an appointment beforehand. So, 10/10 - I’ll definitely be coming back!

I was looking for a new nail salon near my apt and after some research saw here. I was a bit apprehensive given the reviews but the price looked great so I figured my friend and I would give it a shot. It’s a classic NYC salon so if you want a glam experience go elsewhere but the women were SO nice and even better were my nails!! It’s been 2.5 weeks and while they’ve grown out of course, our gel manis still look great and are chip free. I will only go here moving forward and suggest you check them out.

I was in town from Nashville and needed to get my nails done. I went to the closest nail salon to my hotel that had decent reviews. I called prior to make sure they did "dip" manicures. She said yes. I went in and she called it "SNS" but assured me it was the same as dip. Everything seemed like the same process except she manually filed the dip instead of using the dremel tool. Once she was done, my nails weren't as shiny as they usually are but I didn't want to be picky so I let it slide. But less than 2 days later, my nails were stained and one had chipped. It seems she used the wrong top coat that seals the dip or didn't even use a top coat :( So now I have to go to my regular salon to get them redone. Very disappointing.

been coming to this salon exclusively for a year for gel manis and i will no longer be back. they've gotten my appointment wrong in my last two visits and this last time the technician had the audacity to mention how i didn't look happy afterwards. of course not after you messed up my appointment again, stabbed me in my nail bed, and cut a nail much shorter than the rest. i can't wait for this to grow out so I can have even nails without bumpy polish again

The people were friendly enough but when it comes down to quality I have to give a 3 Out of 5. The drying process is the MOST crucial after getting your nails done otherwise, WHAT WAS IT ALL FOR?! Usually nail technicians I’ve had have always made sure my nails were dry before I left and I would be the one aching to leave but this time I was rushed out before even given a proper chance for my nails to dry (not even 5 minutes)and as a result I’m down $54 bucks for smuged toenail polish. Great. Edit: *$59, including tip.
